MAE! back in wonderful New Zealand except the weather is crap and my last flight within the country is delayed. I left my place in Spain at 7am on Tuesday 18 June and its now 7am Thursday 20 June. - with several changes of time zones and snippets of sleep. Thank goodness I was not drinking AL - it makes travel so much easier and you don't loose things so much!
I hope to catch up with al you great sober bunnies soon - after I am in my real home

Yah - Your plans sound great for your reunion. I had to laugh when you said about Maddie's new boyfriend then in the next breath mentioned grandkids! No rush :H

Another chilly morning here. Have to meet with painters now. Never even thought about these things. Why do the renovations shows on TV make it look so much fun? I can assure you, nothing could be further from the truth.

mae all how are yiz? glad you got home safe n sound tt..youve left the weather behind you..been nice all week and now its gone rubbish..whats that all about??went swimming yesterday..just shows you how quick you lose it if you dont keep things up!..now behave you perverted people!!Before I went on holiday was swimming 100 lengths of the pool non stop....yesterday managed 50..could easily have given up earlier..the one good thing though it does ease my back off, without the need to take those tablets which can sit in the cupboard till I go back .Away swimming again today, but got to do a bit of work in the garden first ..mend couple of boards in the raised beds and put a butterfly net over cabbages etc, stop the butterflies laying eggs on them.

right on we go..tea n coffee anyone?....firstly the pic Iasked you to guess on yesterdays post that looks like mad art, is a photo I took in Menorca in the harbour at Na Makakrat of a jellyfish swimming in the sea..thats the purple blob!!!

Hiya Cinders, hows you today? ok I hope..just been out the back ...heard a lot of noise from the field to see a flock? of crows attacking another one and killed it..now they are all feeding on it..pretty strange attacking one of their own...anyway just thought I would share that little gem with you!as for azaleas, mine are the low lying type..one bright red,one pink and one yellow.Beautiful blooms but they are very short lived..again Rhododendrons..got the light pink an purple type ..that red sounds lovely.About the back ..will def bear that in mind when I go back.

Hiya blondie ,hows you today?yep they are violas and pansies .in the centre of them as a double skirted fuschia ,which is just about to open.If you dead head them regular you get a much better and larger bloom..pity about the rhodies and camelia...hope they retake..why not take couple of young shoots off them and put them either in water or rooting compound ..that way you can double/treble your chances of survival of them#

Good Morning! Another gorgeous day here, sunshine and I wake up feeling so different these days. Can't believe I wasn't living this way my whole life but I guess you need some perspective to appreciate the little things in life.

Mick yes I will have to wait until next spring for my back veggie patch and I look forward to it!

Welcome back home, TT, at least I hope?? Give yourself a couple of days to get back on your regular schedule. Do you have any melatonin? I use it for sleep but found it extremely helpful when I was traveling all over God's half acres.

Mick, Please approach the doc about the shot. It works for most, at least temporarily. In my case, not even a twinge in that area. (Other areas, yes, sigh, age brings its own challenges.) My spine doc told me to exhaust all avenues on back pain before considering surgery. Funny how gardening is a common amongst us abbers, isn't it?

Det, It is great to see you doing well. You have had long term sobriety before and I absolutely know you can get that back. Hugs.

Y@H, How is the painting going for the new office space? I paint but really don't like to.

Blondie, Renovations have caused many a divorce, I believe. :-)

June, It is good to wake up sober and feel rested, isn't it? As the days pile up, you will have some days that aren't so good. Post here and talk to us about it. Staying sober really is living life on life's terms. When we drank, we bypassed the good and the bad and even the so so days. It is a learning process. Glad you are here to share with us.

PPQP, I hope you don't have to build an ark to survive. :-)

Lav, Good luck with the sitting today. It is so exhausting. How did we ever raise our own? And I only had two.

Beautiful day here. Having issues with dizziness again. Saw doc yesterday and it was a puzzle. Follow up in two weeks. Off to "shock" the pool, then sweep and mop the living area and kitchen, go to visit mom and see if I can hit the evening's AA meeting. I haven't been to one in a while. Missing the fellowship.

Chilly one this morning but my partner is taking the day off, so, of course, I'm wide awake when I have a chance for a sleep-in! We're heading down to Fremantle with the terror for a walk on the beach and some breakkie - it's much more dog friendly down there and a lovely town too.

Hi 3June - (has no-one shortened your name yet?:H) Welcome and great to see you enjoying la vida sober!

Det - almost 2 months - that's super, especially with all your travel and socialising. Woot!

Cindi - hope they find out what's causing your dizziness - that must be a bit distressing, but always good to know it's nothing to do with al. Hope your son is doing well too.

HillBilly Mick (I guess you're OK as you didn't eat the dead crow!) Wouldn't have guessed a jelly fish. Did you do a lot of swimming in the Med when you were on holiday? I've tried to strike the cuttings and so far the hibiscus are the only ones doing well.
