    Juicin' July-Week 3

    Good Afternoon Juicy Gems,

I am taking a break from my work so I thought I would pop back in for a bit. I've had a lovely weekend. Yesterday, it was our condo association picnic. Lots of good food, and I met some very interesting I had never met and I had great conversations, and made some new friends, too. I don't think I mentioned that several years ago, my neighbor, Susan, confided in me that she was drinking a bottle, and sometimes more, of Chardonnay a night. I didn't know her well enough to confide in her about my AL problem, so I just asked if she had any negative consequences from the drinking, and she said, "no," other than her weight. Well, after over 30 years of being single and alone, at the age of 68, she met a nice 82-year-old man from the local community who treats her like a queen. She is so happy now, and drinks very little anymore because he gets her out doing things and having fun. She never knew how to cook, and now she does, almost every night. One of her closest friends told me at the picnic yesterday that she had been worried about Susan for years, because she just sat alone in her Lazy Boy rocker, drinking. It made me think about my life, and how maybe the universe will send me someone after my mom leaves this earth. Maybe like Susan, I will fall in love and have a companion.

Dill-RWS:H That is the nicest thing anyone has said to me in weeks. I think I will print out your post in PDF format and put it in your e-folder and read it when I have a bad day, which might be tomorrow.:H So, we're not going to the free Gluten Free seminar, huh? Ok, I'll Google Carnivores' Covenants in Dayton and see what I can find. I am glad your boat is in the water and you and Mr. D and your g-son are enjoying it. I've been spending a lot of time in the lake, too. I work out hard, then jump in the lake at about 7:30 p.m. and then I sleep like a log.
We have a king size bed and I love it! My legs could be restless for all I know, Mr. D would be blissfully unaware of it over on his half of the bed.
    :H

Witts-how did your soup turn out? Since your wayyyy ahead of us time-wise, I look forward to you starting our "Juicin' July-Week 4" thread.

Lav- I know you "see" Pap on FB. How is she doing?

Ok, it's time to stop procrastinating and get back to work. Hope everyone is having a peaceful AF Sunday.

      Juicin' July-Week 3

      Hey there Rusty
I finished my job, packed it up for shipping & now I'm just chillin. YB is sitting across the room blissfully unaware of what I doing right this moment :H He's been doing some extra yard work lately, thank goodness. Things were really getting out of hand out there with all that rain we had
I actually haven't seen too much of Papmom on FB lately, she seems busy - not a bad thing but just hope she's OK.

My half beagle half whatever dog is in my bedroom howling. I think she rolled her ball under my dresser or something :H Better go find out what's going on!
      AF since 03/26/09
      NF since 05/19/09
Success comes one day at a time
