    af Sunday 15 Sept

MAE abberoos. It's a cold Sunday here but I am sure just a blip in the great weather we have been enjoying. Will be late timewise in the UK as I post this ? so I hope Mick is getting his beautification sleep and restfulness for the drive on Sunday (dreaming of rabbit hutches ? I hope not!!:H) and that Bear is also winding down from a sober time at the gig.

I never quite know what the time zones are up to in the US and Canada ? as you are a day behind us upside-down leaders of the world :eeks: and you have different time zones. I can usually sort of work out the time if I put my mind westwards on the globe from where I live and keep on this side of the date-line.

Anyway welcome, Accountable ? I don?t think we know each other but you seem to be one of the original MWOers!! Do you think there were other triggers for your ?benders? Was a friend visiting the key reason? Time now to flush that out and get back on track.

Pauly ? hope you are nurturing yourself at the moment. Yes a quiet weekend may help you see some clarity and it won?t be easy ? but we are just an internet away!

Lav ? sounds like a mission taking your gigantic dog to the vet. And I thought getting my cat in the car was an ordeal. I hope your cat is also OK Bear. At least Mick?s bunnies do not go on his Sunday jaunts ? or do they?:H

SF ? so glad you had a great time with the hubby. As for the soda refills ? in NZ ? you usually do not get refills. I had to laugh at my trip to Spain a few months ago when my bottled water sometimes cost more than the wine others were drinking (partly cos one tends to drink more water esp when its hot).

Hope all the others are super sober dooper. As I said partner, daughter and I are off to a play today and then out for din-dins. Catch you later

Bear....I like the Smart Program as well. Lots of logical strategies and it covers all the stages....encouraging you to set goals and start a new life.

AFE-welcome back. I am sorry to hear about your lapse...but, dust off and join us.

Pauly...R&R and taking care of yourself is the best thing you can do.

      Lav...IKEA sounds dangerous:H

Det...enjoy your sleep in....and time with DX. With kids somedays the most communication hubby and I have is via text. But, now that they are getting older....that is changing. Also helps that I am not sloshed

TT...its been cold here too. No free re-fills on high priced soda! Bottled water.....now as someone who spent years dehydrated....why did I not think of that idea!

Lazy day. I am reading a book for a seminar that I have on Thursday. Its one of those...cool idea....but, a whole book is unnessary to get the concept across. Napped. And went to the movies with my youngest. We finally found the "cheap movie time" and the deal on popcorn and soda. He and I both went for $16....tickets, popcorn and soda.

In the last two months....he has read the entire Harry Potter series, Hunger Games and two of the Percy Jackson books. I still read a lot....but today it clicked.....I really need to go back to reading "fun" stuff.

Over the years I have leaned towards self help books.....my "Quitting Drinking" collection is remarkable....I read more about quitting drinking....instead of just actually quitting drinking. Makes me take a closer look at the stuff I have now:H

        MAE Abbers,

WB, AFM. I am glad you are here and got right back on the wagon so quickly. Hang around and we will be here for you, as you know!

I had to read back two days, unlike me. I've been busy with grandkids, etc. Not checking in very much.

Happy to see all are doing pretty well. Pauly, a good day off should help a bit.

I hope all have a wonderful, sober, restful, rejuvenating Sunday.

        Love,
        Cindi

          Good morning Abbers

Perfect sunny & cool morning here, yay!
Slept more like a normal person last night instead of tossing around with repeated hot flashes, yay!

TT, I see you starting a new day's thread during our early evening hours here - if that makes any sense. So as not to confuse myself (more than usual) I stay away from that new thread until the next morning :H Are we all confused now? :H

Greetings Mick, SF, Cindi & everyone!
AFM, hope to see you back again today! We are much, much better than vodka

Wishing everyone a great AF Sunday! I'm going to continue on the outside garden cleanup that I started yesterday. Nice to be able to work outside without sweating my brains out!!!

            MAE ALL...

I just wanted to let you all know that I am going to be hit and miss on the boards for awhile. I have been feeling guilty about not keeping up with everyone and offering support and have decided I don't need the quilt trip. It has nothing to do with drinking and if that beast comes around again you know I'll be back in an instant before I ever head down that path again. I will definitely be using MWO as it was intended.

As you know I've been pretty busy with the new job. The boss came out at one point last week saying I have a note in my book about a meeting with someone and me about the association turning 65 in 2015. Part of my old job was organizing a year long celebration and the reality hit that he assumes I'll just carry on with my old responsibilities. I have to put a stop to this pronto. I am not doing both jobs not even if they increase my salary.

After a hectic week it was a staff BBQ at the bosses house Friday night and after a day with my Dad and a bridge game at my ex-mil's last night which didn't see me home till 1 am this morning. Today will find me doing the usual chores of laundry, housework, grocery shopping etc.

So I just didn't want to disappear without letting you know everything is ok. I hope you all have a great AF Sunday and stay safe and sober......PPQP

              Morning all
Beautiful weekend of weather here eh, Lav? Makes me think about cleaning my chimneys.

Had some of my hay delivered yesterday. Found it is cheaper to buy hay than own the equipment. Not much chance for fiddlin though!

Howdys to you Mick, SF, TT, Cinders, Bear, Yah Yah, Det. AFM, nice to met you. Hope you are doing well.

hey everyone - I'm taking some time out - I really don't know what I want/need to do 100% and am just messing about.I drank last night and I seriously need to think about what I want/am aiming for.

You guys can't help me with this - I need to work this out myself.
Thank you so much for all of your input, kind thoughts and butt kicking/thought provoking questions.I really wish you all well and you are in my thoughts often.

Will pop back every so often to say hi/come back properly if/when I decide that being AF is what I want 100% of the time/rather than 60% of the time.

                Bye for now xxx

                  Oh boy -
we gain AFM but lose PQ & bear?
I just hope everyone takes care & comes back sooner rather than later

Sam. beautiful weather for sure! Perfect actually!
What do you use hay for Sam? Do you have horses? I only go thru a bit to toss in the chicken yard when it gets muddy - they can get messy.

                  Greetings to everyone else.

                        Hey Lav,
I raise beef cattle, about 20 brood cows. Do have horses, 2 old nags that are endless pits.
