Mae all ...how are we today?ok I hope..well rain is hammering it down over here yet again ...Last night it was really cold too..even the rabbits had their hot water bottles last night!! so what are we all up to today then? me I am catching up on mundane jobs.com ...you know all the ones that are tuit jobs ..yep Ill get around too it..anyways here we go..just had a phone call from my daughter..she has got the results of her degree..while she was doing the practical for midwifery ,she had to do a degree too..she got a 2.1 which I think is a B? so now she is a Bachelor of Science..so she is entitled to put the letters BSc behind her name...me Im allowed to put a full stop or comma behind mine!!!:H

Evenin TT how are you today? feeling any better?As you say ..just a bug ..Im quite fortunate really..no self respecting bug would live on me!!!:H..anyways have a good evening.

Morning Lav ...brew tiime yes?ok lets do it.How are you today? In the garden is it or weather too miserable for that.Got 3 gerbora plant yesterday and a massive peace lily which was reduced from ?15 to ?5..needs a bit of tlc but looks nice.Think a lot of my toms re going to be heading down the chutney road..there is no warmth in the sun now to redden them orf.

Hi yah ..great Aunt..hows you ? well done on the house bit you put the time in and deserve the break well chuffed.Ive planted a lot of plants kale ,cauli winter leeks spring cabbage so far..put some outside and the slugs just went ta muchly for the free grub!!!so had to restart again..hows the garden doing?

I am about ready to turn a few chickens loose in my veggie garden - let them do the clean up for me There are lots of green tomatoes just sitting, doing nothing.
A little more coffee for me & then time to get to work! Congrats to your daughter Mick. My kids both have a degree & neither one of them is working in their field of study - go figure. Not sure why I paid for all that :H

MAE all! Pauly, it's good to see you. I hope the sunshine is reflecting your mood now, and you're feeling a little better. You have sure been bumped around lately!

I hope your chickens do a good job cleaning up for you, Lav. I'm wondering if some chickens might not help Mick do a job with the slugs in his garden. You think? Hey, my dad paid for me to go to secretarial school, and being a secretary convinced me to go to college. Bless my parents' hearts; they never said a word about the money they wasted on that. I never regretted it either. I whizzed through typing my college papers while my fellow students followed the "hunt and peck" typing method, and grammar and punctuation were pounded into my head.

Mick, all of my brassicas got eaten alive this summer by various bugs, so this fall I am spraying them all with neem oil, which turns out to be a pesticide, fungicide, and various all-purpose organic thing. It is not as toxic to beneficials like bees, as long as you don't spray it while the bees are buzzing around. I am hoping that my fall cauliflower does well.

You must be proud of your daughter. I hope she has a gratifying career.

Today is going to be busy as anything for me, but the week evens out after that. I'm looking forward to that.

MAE Abbers,

Weather is lovely here today. I have the windows open to get some fresh air into the house.

Was given an offer and now await paperwork, background check, etc.

Hopefully, my DUI doesn't preclude me from employment with the company.

If it does, it does, nothing I can do about it.

I feel much better today. I did realize every time I took DayQuil, it stopped some symptoms but made me feel very weird, sick at stomach, etc. Then I realized it has alcohol in it!!

DOH!!

I haven't taken a dose since yesterday. My head still feels full and heavy and I am not quite up-to-snuff but no more DayQuil for me!!

Cindi, glad you are better, I'm still feeling crap. just absolutely zonked of any energy. Dx has the same thing...no idea what it is. oh well, we press on. Keep calm and pass the chives.

I have a rare trip to south Oregon to visit family this weekend. hope I get to feeling better very soon so I can enjoy that properly.

YahYah, there was a lot of bug damage in the garden this year but even more damage from all the rain I think. I hope your veggies do well. YB's broccoli plants survived the initial bug/bunny beating after being transplanted & are looking pretty good now - we shall see. I also put in a row of green beans - yum
I hope your busy day went well for you!

Pauly, glad it stopped raining - gets on your nerves after a while.

a late check in... lovely day here, got a little survey work, been hired to research an area that allows me to piece together deeds going back to early 1800's. Our county was formed in 1795. I love looking at the penmanship of the deeds back then. Writing is certainly a lost art. I know my scribble is almost unreadable.

Much busier two days than I prefer. The seminar is one I signed up for and I am looking forward to it....not one of those work ones that drone on about things you already know. So I am out of the office on Thursday and then Friday we have one of those "work motivational" things....I hate them. I have an important shoot on Friday for a client and they will not allow me to go to it. I am not fond of the producer...and can't trust him to treat the client right....he had said somethings today regarding it....I had to put him in place. Sober...I tend to speak up more.

Mick....congrats on your daugher! Seems in the states you need a degree for just about anything these days....ridiculous when I watch a degree.....trump experience. At least I have mine....

I lean towards Stephen King as my fun reading....love getting lost in a world of darkness I also have tons of magazines on yoga....now that I practice regularly....I flip through them in about 10 minutes and trash them. Still have the yoga books...I do have more of than the "quitting drinking" stuff. Goes hand in hand....practice yoga....don't read about it.

YAH....please come help me with 6th grade language arts....they are using words for words....that I have no idea what they are.

PPQ....I understand the break. Funny I just started putting up PPQ post its at work....trying to be somewhat polictically correct....just smile at the stupid shit. Thought it was better than putting up "Be Positive"....I told someone it was yoga code

Cindi...how long ago was the DUI? I had a friend with the same issue as it stays on there forever. She called the person she interviewed with and explained it was a stupid mistake made several years ago. So when corporate rejected her....he was able to over ride it and she got hired.....but, mostly because she was upfront about it. I would not go into any al drama. People are still scared to hire alkies. Years ago I took Nyquil and called into work slurring because of it....got called into the office on that one.

Last night at dinner the boys were really out of hand...I was about to lose it. I wanted a beer or ten just to drown them out. What came to mind was the fabulous hangover I would have....no, thanks.
