Don't know if taking Fri afternoon off was worth it. Had to deal with everything when I got to work this morning and then do Monday's work. Not my usual jolly self today but that's ok, I don't think it's healthy to always be on a high. (Shades of the ex!)

TT...no need for the rescue but this weather does make me think of CanToo. (Another Albertan Narrily) Glad you're home safe and sound.

Mick...defo the second pic. I wish I could draw, I would draw a portrait of my minds version of you. Definitely not the same pic as you posted. :H

Narrily...you remind me of the commercial "Why do you live the good life? Because everyone around you lives it too". I never did get into the wine culture, took too long for my buzz. Good job on 24 AF days and 30 will be here before you know it.

Lav...typed in -16F to do the conversion and couldn't believe it -26C then I realized you said 16F only -8C that's a heat wave for us. :H

Bear...a good friend on this thread told me to make myself #1 and put myself first. When I actually learned how to do that, everything else fell into place. Don't over think things, you're doing great.

hey kids! I'm still alive by jove. a better day indeed. being home and having time to discuss things with my dear Dx and get a bit of bed rest has been super helpful. big thanks to SunFlower, TTops and all you for being here for me. I'm dealing with life/career matters that are affecting my emotional well being and need to reconcile. thankfully I'm not travelling anyplace this week except to Vegas to be with my uncle and family which will be grand. my sorrows for being so self-involved lately but it's where I'm at and I have to take charge of my little row boat, one little turn at a time. be well loves....
