    Ladies on a Mission!

It was a wonderful Turkey Day! We ate, talked, laughed, taught my old aunt what twerking was by showing her online, and we laughed more, because she actually twerked for us, all the while she was doing it saying, "Am I doing it right?" OMG. It was funny. No drinks for me, because you know what? I don't drink! Little consumption by anyone, because the turkey and other fixins' are just too good to load up on AL. But me, when I was drinking, I'd make sure I'd have plenty of room for drinks and less for food. Sooooo, great day!

So glad everyone feels great and clear-headed this evening!

Scottish Lass, my sis in law has a temperpedic mattress and loves it. It's pricey, but you're worth it!

    Have a lovely evening Ladies!!!!

      Ladies on a Mission!

J-Vo, sounds like the perfect dinner with no AL. How good is that? Way to go.

Tomorrow I go to the Lougheed House for a big party. This is the place I got drunk a few years ago and had a bad incident. So tomorrow I am going to rewrite my new history and eat, drink non AL drinks and chat to people. I will remember going home and will even be able to drive.
Its so nice to go home after a party and my tongue actually be a normal colour instead of all stained from the red wine I drank. Yuk.
Have a great evening. Happy Thanks giving to all the Americans!
      Hugs,
      Narilly

          Ladies on a Mission!

Narily, Oh! You have no idea...My aunt is crazy and she doesn't even drink! Well, she used to until her boyfriend (they've been together for 40 years) got cirrohsis of the liver about 17 years ago. They drank like fish and ever since that happened, they both quit, never looked back. Alcoholism def. runs in my family for sure. Good luck at your party! I'm sure you'll be so proud of yourself and confident as you saunter around, chatting freely with a clear mind. I see you doing it!! Although I really don't know what you look like, I still see you!

            Ladies on a Mission!

Good Morning - oops it is afternoon!! Girls still in bed, they have both popped out and gone back - good for them! I slept again last night, only woke once - then it was 8am (I have taken calms forte for last two nights and it seems to be working!)
Twerking - um, yep - my teens think it is funny, I am not so sure - esp when it is Ms Cyrus with her tongue out - ugg, so glad I don't have a hangover...
Narilly - similar thoughts this morning - I brushed my tongue, didn't gag and no horrid colour in the sink - oh joys of AF living huh??:H
Been worrying about buying mattress - on my journey have had a lot of financial struggle. Left my husband when he chose not to help support his family (I am bread winner but liked some help!), lost our home and had a lot of debt. I am almost out of debt and clawing my way back to financial stability so spending is so hard - so may not get the bed today - the argument is going back and forth in my head!
Well, ladies - the turkey is waiting for me to deal with it!
Narilly - the strength of the ladies will be with you tomorrow - any devilish thoughts cross into your mind, just think of us all cheering you on! I know you can do this, you sound so strong and determined.

                      Ladies on a Mission!

Thanks NS, i am over this AL crap and I know i can do it and I know i will this time. When i tried to give up in 2011 i went back to drinking and left here due to the normal feelings of shame, guilt etc. This time I have always been back here everyday. This time i am not running away and I will be posting and reading and planning. I am lucky i have very supportive children.
