So it looks like some of us here need a bit of cheering on.
Mick ? pity about the cold/flu. Sounds like you are ?feeding? it well ? that a plus. There even are quite a few viruses floating round here (and its summer) and with winter in the North Pole (oops you are not there at the moment but you were there) you are susceptible to the lurgies. Take care mate.
Pauly ? I have just prayed to the goddesses that protect hairdressers (just kidding but you know what I mean and hairdressers are an essential service in society!) to keep the Beast far far away from you. Since you know that it gets tough after 30 days ? can you try not to think about the numbers? Of course your mind is telling you otherwise. Is there something enjoyable you can do during the next few weeks? I know you work really hard with long hours, have lots of family obligations and money is scarce ? but if you could treat yourself with something to look forward to ? that might help. Is there anything you have wanted to take up or do ? Even something simple, low-key, low-cost?
Bear - in your case, may I suggest that you don?t take up something new!!! Calm, slow down, breathe, try to live in the moment. I would even bombard you with clich?s about stopping to smell roses ? but it's the wrong time of the year.
Lav ? continuing with the flower and plant theme ? hope you had a lovely time at Longwood. It must be beautiful. Think I will have a look on Google.
Patrice ? you have lots of insight and know your drinking patterns well. Also as you know its really easy to buy good wine here at all hours ? so even if you drink your Mum?s fine stash ? you might be tempted to swing by the wine section at the supermarket. It will be in your face ? so you just have to put the blinkers on and repeat, ?I do not drink alcohol. I can?t anymore. I had a good innings but that's in the past. I am like a diabetic who can?t consume sugar.? Repeat as often and necessary as required.
Sam ? hope you are well protected from the elements. You too PPQP and Sun. Narilly - tights in that weather??? Only, if I had trousers on as well.
Narilly ? but another day, AF. Well done. Hey its me that had the Tom Yum ? Mick had plum (guess it rhymes) pie and icecream.
Hi there Byrdie. Also big hellos to Det and SF. Daughter saw ?Catching Fire? last night and said it was very good. She studied the Hunger Games in school a few years ago. Seemed to be a good book choice.
Better go and face the day. Lots of coffee on offer here.
Have a cuddlesome Thursday everyone!
