Ladies on a Mission: The Official Site

Ava, you are so valuable and funny but not the one to be in charge of logistics :H!
I'd say no need to do anything right now. This is just like having the family plan to meet at Cinderella's castle if you get separated at Disney World (in the days before cell phones!).

OMG, girls...Let's meet back at the castle at 9 p.m.!!! Now, Let me know if I should get my arse in gear to go to another website. Wow, that would be sad.:upset:

Had a good night last night with the ladies and making decorations for the banquet. Well, I realized I'm not too crafty but I'm getting pretty good at having fun without drinking!

It's been a long day. Actually, I got home from work and slept two hours. Was wiped out for some reason.

Hope you all are doing well tonight.:l

Ava, that happened to my avatar yesterday! The image I uploaded disappeared, then I couldn't get it back up.

          Hi Lovely Ladies,

MWO -- YOU ALL -- have been my lifelines in this journey. Count me in on all backup plans! I am retired (at least until I find a job LOL) and can help coordinate as needed. I have not check out any other sites, and was frustrated with the MWO probs as well, but will check out those mentioned.

Ava -- never too early to start packing, especially for a trip like yours! Maybe throw some earplugs in your suitcase. Then, if you mom goes on a bender at you, you can just shut her out. :-)

Have a happy Friday and a great, AF weekend!

Who knows where that damn plane is. I don't want to go there for sure.

                Hello ladies,
Well, another beautiful sober Friday night. I am already in bed and am looking forward to waking up feeling great.

Ava, two weeks is going to just fly by. I am sure your dog will be fine and won't end up in the freezer! That made me laugh

Mary, nice to hear from you.

J-Vo, let us know how Soberistas goes. I will try it soon.

SL, hope RJ gets back to you.

Goodnight Loamers, this gal needs her beauty sleep.

                  Stretch... Yawn...

The end of a 15 hour work day - the third over 12 hour day I've had this week. I am WIPED out!!!

The good news is - I really don't want to drink. Not even tempted. Wow does that feel good.

If this site goes down I'll meet you over at Soberistas but probably won't sign up before then. Well, maybe - I'll let you know. I REALLY don't want to lose you ladies, so if all else fails, we'll meet at Disneyland in front of Cinderella's castle on the third full moon of 2015. See you then...

I am too tired for a waffle - sorry, Ava. You'll have to wait.

                  Sleep tight.

                  xo

Just a quick good morning to you lovely Ladies!

My day alone has turned into a day full of people and activities! And I was thinking in the shower that PART (but perhaps a big part) of my need to be alone was my need to drink alone!! Now, already, slowly but surely I am feeling like I can deal with things/events/problems coming my way. So off to go jeans shopping with my 12 year old.. Luckily she likes second hand stores!!

Will check in with you later--

                        MAE Ladies,

                        LC, sounding great!

                        LB, enjoy your parade.

Nar, I just signed up. Gonna look around, but you girls are number 1 in my book and mean so much to me.

Pav and Marylou, sounding tired but so happy.

Gonna get my nails done today! I'm doing the gel and really like it. I wish I had something profound to say, but my brain kinda feels like mush, and thankfully not from a hangover, just from a long work week...wait! I called in sick on Monday. It was short. Oh well.

                              From Soberistas,

Every positive association you have with alcohol has been created as a result of you being in denial. Denial plays a very powerful and delusional role in your thoughts; it tells you that you are boring without booze, that life is no fun without booze and that you won’t be able to cope without it.
Denial operates out of addiction. Your body craves alcohol because it is a drug, and denial is your body’s way of attempting to coerce YOU in to going out and buying some more wine. Don’t let it win!
Tell yourself that this is just denial talking next time you feel compelled to nip out for a bottle of red to go with dinner. As soon as you have spent a couple of weeks living without alcohol, these thoughts will start to diminish.
Sometimes what you're most afraid of doing is the very thing that will set you free.

                                Hi, All:

I regret to say Ava, that I don't have a waffle in me now, either. I actually have to run to take my kid to his game (the story of my life).

Giraffe - I'm inspired to cook a good dinner - don't think steak and kidney pie is in my repertoire, but I can always learn!

J-Vo - thanks for the post about denial. There is so much about alcohol that is around denial - it feels so great to be free from those chains.

I feel like I'm going through some transition or transformation right now - from the focus being on not drinking to the focus being on living life. I am still in the first phase, but I can see glimmers of the next phase in the not so distant future. I have found fewer and fewer pity parties in my life, and more being actually grateful (not struggling to find something I am grateful for). I'll think about this and get back to you...

                                Happy sober Saturday, Loamers.
