Ava, yes, glad came today. And I'll talk to you about my plan! Do you wanna send maddie here? I'll watch her for u while u r away. On my phone and it's hard doing!

SL, I've never taken it before. I know it's hard on livers but I've never been alone before. dH never even wanted to leave me more than an hour and now they'll be gone under a week. I think hubby is glad it came in mail too. My plan was to have it for when they went away. They are my safety net so I needed another one. I can also we it for when we go on our big vacation in June. I don't plan to we it other than those times. Oh! I wish I could help u with the grades thing. Is she receiving any support? If you wanna talk pm me. I used to be a support teacher so and I have all levels of kids in my classes. Hang in there girlie.

        Hi Loamers,

Just a quick check in. Thank you for all you wonderful messages - this has meant so much to me. We took care of funeral arrangements today - not too difficult. Also, hubs sent photos from the wedding every half hour so I was able to kinda, sorta be there. (Bummed I won't be in any of the family pics but I know that is so self-centered I feel guilty even thinking that.). I did think about having a glass of wine but it was a fleeting thought. So glad to be sober.

Lots of posts to catch up on but that will take a while.

Hope you all have a happy day. Will come back on when able.

J- vo congratulations on the 50 days. You are really adding up those days.
I will be here too. I would love that much time. Lucky you. Have fun. Eat what you want, watch what you want, sleep m when and where you prefer.
SL you are sounding very posative.
My brain is fried tonight. Very tired.
          Nite all.

Mary, so sorry about your dad. I'm thinking about you. Stay away from AL, ok?

Ava, hope you can figure out your sleep issue. That can be tough. There are some really good meditations you can listen to when you go to bed that might help. By Nadeem Manuel.

J-Vo, congrats on 50 days! XO

Dottie, your dog sounds so cute! Great she is doing well.

SL, haha, it's ALL about the bed! I remember when you bought it. We were so excited!

            LB, I am tired too.

            Goodnight sweet ladies,

              Hi, Loamers!

Feeling terrible that I haven't been around much, but phew have I been busy. Today it was a good busy - my son's birthday, a little league game, a long hike to the beach with my sister, and a family birthday party tonight. I am wiped out, and one time they were all tasting a good red wine I felt a little tug, but it went away quickly and the rest of the time we all just laughed and had fun.

Welcome New Dreams (probably will shorten that to ND??). Glad you found this thread- anyone is welcome, even the men, in spite of our name.

Did I miss that it is NS's daughter's wedding?? Holy cow, I have to read more. Hope that's going well.

LC - I have only gotten three pedicures in my life, my wedding, a friend's wedding, and one other. I don't like having my cuticles cut, but the massage is nice, and my feet DID look nice. Maybe that's what I'll do tomorrow...

J-Vo - glad you have the AB for when you need it. I'm with SL, it scares me, but getting drunk again scares me more, so whatever it takes... Hope you also get to relax and have fun. Sorry all that stuff at work is coming up all at once. My sister just got observed - after 18 years of teaching she still gets nervous. It is good for me as an administrator to remember - I try to be as open as I can and assuring as I can, but I guess my visits can still be irritating and nerve wracking.

Ava - It is frankly amazing to me that your 79 year old mother is still up for a trip to Thailand. Amazing.

SL - HOORAY for your 30 days. 42 + 1 shouldn't be too hard, and then, the moon! Keep remembering what you're grateful for, and how good it feels from a place of gratitude rather than a place of deprivation. Sorry for what your kids are going through - hard to believe how far behind CA is in education.

Dot - How IS Maddy? Glad you got that stove - time to cook some healthy meals (on your way dancing, or galavanting to wherever is next).

Daisy - Remember - we are on a MISSION here. Whatever it takes to stay sober. Marylou posted when she was in a terrible situation and thinking about drinking - maybe next time you feel yourself thinking about drinking you can post her BEFORE you drink. That way we can help you make the right decision.

LB - I'm pooped, too. I think that's about it for me.

Nar - I guess you're off having a great weekend (or having your toes amputated after wearing flip flops in 10 degree weather).

              Jane - you around??

              Good night all.

                Good Morning Loamers!!
A beautiful Sunday to you all...

Welcome to the Loamers, New Dreams! Looking forward to getting to know you better!

Dottie! I love to cook and bake and I remember how happy I was to get a new oven..Hows it going with with the Vegan cooking? Good on you for getting some new makeup--I'm sure you look GORGEOUS!

j-vo, well done on 50 days! I'm so very proud of you..:rays:

LB, sounds like a dream, your garden! Jealous!!! Last year we had a rooftop garden at my work and had a lot of fun with tomatoes, zucchini, french chard, salads.. Unfortunately we can't carry on this year-- but I love to take advantage of the organic markets we have here. Nothing like eating fresh veggies from the garden, is there?

Ava, funny how nervous pets get when you pull out a suitcase. They are aware of so much.. your Maddy will be in good hands with Mia. She should find ways to spoil her rotten! Damn!! Just burned a tray of cashews I was trying to roast! That's what happens when I try to cook something while talking with Ava!:H

SL, great going on 30 days! You are a rockin' lady. I will be very happy to be at 30 days again!!

j-vo, please don't disappear. You have to believe that you aren't letting us down. You have been working hard on yourself, your life, your sobriety. Everyone here loves and cares for you so much. I am sorry, because of how you feel, in calling yourself a failure and I hope you won't let this derail you.
What happened? I think it will help if you talk about it.:lbc

You only fail when you quit trying J-vo. Let's just find out what else you need to get this done for good. Everyone's toolbox is different and something is missing from yours but I believe it is out there. You know we care about you and we're not giving up on you or anyone else who wants and needs support. xx- NS

J-Vo- it is just part of this process of quitting. Nobody is perfect. I have drank a few times, probably 6 since November 1, 2013 and I just keep coming back here. I am not perfect and neither are you. WE are not failures!!!

All we can do is our best- we are hardest on ourselves so Give yourself a BREAK! You are only human.
We love you very much and you are such a big part of Loamers.

                              Our love is unconditional.

Rox- we could never forget about you, Roxy roller

Life, Roasted Cashews? Yummy, sounds delicious. You must get fresh fruit and nuts where you are. We don't get many fresh things here. There are some farmers that grow in green houses in the winter but they are few and far between. Yesterday at the market I bought some fresh tomatoes, cucumbers and broad beans. I was SO excited! Anything Fresh when it is -14C outside is a bonus!

I agree, be careful about cooking while talking to Ava. I would probably burn my food too! Ava is way too much fun to talk to

Dottie, vegan cooking? I want to learn more about that. I have been trying to cut back on meat over the last few years. I would love to hear about some of your favorite dishes.

SL, thank you for all your support. Just want to say that. Big hugs from me.
AND Pav, you are sounding so strong girlie. We keep cross posting. It is quite funny actually. Hey, and go get that pedi! My toes look great...although I have big socks and slippers on, I know they are looking great under all that stuff!

Feeling great this morning. Bright eyed and bushy tailed. Have a great day everyone.

                                Love you J-Vo!
