Ladies on a Mission: The Official Site

    Morning!

Ava, thanks for checking in. And stay with the plan. We are here for you.

LB, I understand that as well. But it's so uncomfortable for me. Even when I'm sitting, I feel the bumps and bulges sticking out and it doesn't feel good or right. I hide with clothes and my arms.

Pav, I'm feeling better and calmer. I think that was also something that I need to do to feel stronger in sobriety - exercise. I've been deep breathing at lunchtime and it seems to help me. As the day goes on, my anxiety seems to build, so that's a nice release. You sound great!

LC?? Where'd you go. Come back!

Pav I think I need to scream into a pillow. First laugh of the day!
J-vo I understand the discomfort. Believe me I do. I had to cut back on higher calorie foods, but today when I got up I was not in pain. My lower back has screamed out for so long I have lost track. Just take it one day at a time. That's all I know to do.
Sorry to rush but work is calling me.
good to see you Too Ican.
      Have a great day all.

        Morning (here) Ladies,

Beautiful day here in south FL. Went for a long walk and saw a pile of vomit on the road. Next to it a box filled with empty beer cans. Been there, done that. SOOOO glad I'm AF and on this mission to stay that way! Brought back unpleasant reminder of all the crappy damage al does. I'm grateful I saw that vomit - never in a million years would I have thought I would say that!!

Ava - thinking of you, rock those mocktails - and put a little paper umbrella in them. You're on holiday after all. My mom has slipped a few times and asked me if I want a drink. She quickly recovers and is super supportive. I made her a mojito last night and came up with a new mocktail: muddle mint with a little simple syrup, add crushed ice and sparkling water, enjoy.

Have a peaceful day Loamers - will check in later.

          Hello Ladies on a Mission!

I am sorry I have been missing in action-- I had a couple of yucky days with slight fever, a super sick co-worker, so lots of extra work, needy kids, BF's birthday, which I'm in the middle of preparing for now.

I missed Pav's 120 days!!!! I was thinking about you. I am so proud of you!:h

          and I missed j-vo's new day 1!!:h
          and Ava's going away party!!:h

I will be throwing a big party tomorrow, here, for 30 days-- and I hope everyone can come. Probably just serving leftovers from the BF's picnic tonight!!:H Hope you don't mind.
Love to all of you, NS, Nar, Marylou, Jane, LB, Dottie, SL, Ann, Ican, Ava, Giraffe (I got a great photo for you today of a bronze sculpture at an art exhibit--will try to post here), who am I missing?, everyone stopping by today. :l

                Hi Girls,
I am super busy today at work, 5 meetings, so pretty crazy.

Pav, glad you are doing yoga and J-Vo deep breathing. Yay! Keep it up.

Hey Life, I am reading a book called "Fever" about Typhoid Mary. It is pretty good so far. (don't worry you don't have Typhoid Fever!) Thanks for the party invite, I will be there with Bells on and my fav Non AL drink!

Mary- I am so with you on that vomit thing. What a great reminder of where you don't want to be. I used to drink to the point of throwing up all the time when I was younger. In my older years I would stop (most of the time) before that happened but GROSS! Why ever would you let yourself get to that point? So glad not to be drinking. Thank you for the visualization.

TooIcan- nice to hear from you

                LB- BIG Hugs from me.

                Talk later,
                Narilly

LC, this is my rsvp for your party! Glad you're feeling better.

Marylou, agree. sometimes it's a good reminder to us how this poison ravages our bodies and minds. As we were on the way to the baseball game yesterday, driving through an older residential neighborhood, a guy was sitting on the side of the street struggling to stand up (his jeans down past his butt!!). As we got closer, he stood up and then as we passed, he turned and looked at us. He was holding a beer glass but it wasn't beer in the glass. It was dark, that which was left after he stood up. As he turned and I saw his face, it was red, bloated, and so worn looking. Very sad.

                        Hi Ladies
I have not posted in quite some time as I have not been AF but constantly desire to be. I am fed up and would once again like to join you on your mission. I hope you will welcome me back. I plan to take my antibuse today so I can get a good start. I rally need to be accountable to someone so I continue to take it. I achieved 5 months on it before.

We are so happy to have you back, R4L . The success rate around this thread is pretty darn good. Hope you can stick around. Even though this sounds self-serving, I think you'll be helping yourself the most if you really get involved and post at least once a day -- giving and getting encouragement, support, and love. You can do it this time!! xx NS

Wow, Jane, the things that we did to keep our AL lifestyle going. Is your hubs supportive of you not drinking AL? You had quite a plan worked out!
I live in Calgary. Way far away from Montreal. Montreal is beautiful though, I hope you enjoy it.

Today it is warming up and we MIGHT get +3!! I am so excited!

Hey, welcome back R4Life. Like NS says, we have had some pretty good success here. Stay with us girl. I missed that doggie on the couch!
