Give him a little understanding here. Her husband works down the hallway on the other team. She must bitch to him about me because he doesn't even acknowledge me anymore and I've worked with him for years. Oh well, not my problem. I know it's happening but there's nothing I can do. I feel better I got that out of my system, but sorry to bore you with these details of my day.
If I had a child in the school system, mainstream or special, I sure would hope s/he would have a teacher like you, J-vo. You clearly love all of them. As for the adults involved, realizing that it is their problem, not yours, is about all you can do. You're certainly not likely to change them at this point . That Idina Menzel "Letting Go" song comes to my mind each time I read this type of thing. I guess that is my version of the Serenity Prayer .

J-Vo, so good that you were able to let the blind boy get his chance to read. He needs people like you around for sure. What a gift you are to those kids.

Nar - great forward planning - please have an af 50th, I regret that mine was not - I did not drink a lot, but was not af and now I know what a great gift that would have been!
j-vo - you rock! Doing the right thing is not always the easiest, but it is the best!! And yes, ODAT - doing that overthinking nonsence again, thanks for bringing me back to the present

How do feel about the hundred days now Jane? Could you have been getting worked up about not managing it?

              I think you're amazing.

Well sweet ladies, time for me to walk home. It's Bubblehour time! I love listening to that. So thankful to NS for recommending it.

Glad you are enjoying your new normal SL.

That blog by Dr Kelly on Bubblehour Really helped me. I don't know exactly but something really clicked in my brain when I was listening to it. I really didn't believe the the 'days' abstinent mattered before but now I really understand why they are important. I also understand how crazy you can go if you start drinking AL again after my last relapse.
Anyway, I am pretty excited about the prospect of staying sober. I hope this feeling lasts. I know I will have some up and down days but the idea of being sober hopefully wil always sound good.

I have you girls to help me out, which is the best thing EVER!!

-1 and sleet outside (rain that is almost snow) Really, our weather sucks this year. Oh well, Im wearing my big Canada Goose Jacket- its all about the outer wear you know!

                      Talk soon!

Hey loamers. I can see I've once again missed a lot. I'm here and reading but just can't keep up. Doesn't mean I don't love you all - I do. Just a quick check in to let you all know that I draw strength from your posts every day. Way to go, my friends. And warm wishes to you all.

This link is a song from 1972 Maureen McGovern, "The Morning After." I was listening to it while on my treadmill and the lyrics are beautiful expressing hope. I've loved this song since I was a little girl! Let's cross that bridge together...

                              Loamers hello

Jane so glad you had the best 100 day celebration, i could not wipe the smile off my face, felt like xmas and i was a child again waiting for santa to arrive on day 99. how did the tests go?

Moss glad to see you checking in and are still af.

Nar -1 well well well, i think at the moment i will swap you the 36, 36, 36 for that -1. Thank god Melbourne is a decent temperature when i get home. Cant wait for my bed and my kids and my dogs and my temperature. My 50th on Easter Sunday i will be sober 141 days and i cant wait, a double celebration and a first sober birthday in i cant remember when!

Jvo, we always work with dickheads, there is one or many in each place. I personally have two and some days are better than others. All i do know is that i wont drink AT them ever again. I smile and am nice but if my office manager wants to have a chat he now gets as good as he gives. i will not tolerate his subtle bullying anymore and i think that he senses that and cant figure out why the change.

Well today is the end of the holiday that i thought was going to be hell but turned out to be wonderful, relaxing and another part of the journey in the new sober me. I cant wait to be waking up in my bed and with my cup and having a coffee and trying to put pics up. I have learnt a bit more patience being with a 77 year old for two weeks so i can do this, put up pics i mean.

Well last free breakfast today and then more shopping and then hopefully a nap and then off to the airport and back to reality.

Love you all and thanks for making my holiday more enjoyable, i could not have been sober for two weeks without you all. xxxxxx
