NS do you know how much time it too me to get my students to get the 500 right and to get Rox to fly over here specifically to take the picture as she is such a brilliant photographer and i could not rely on anyone else to get the lighting right. The students, well i think next time i will fly loamers over and get them to demonstrate how its really done.
I am so proud of you at 500 days girl and i love you to death my lovely Sandra. You seem to know when i am funking out and say the words i want and need to hear. Our ying and yang seem to help us both immensely along this path. Your honesty i totally love and respect even if some people just dont get it (not mentioning names on who i would like to throw some bricks at, no loamers though). I will always follow in your footsteps along our path to sobriety. Hey i even get you involved in exercise classes now, who would have thought me teaching a class could bring little NS out of her shell. I am damn proud of you NS and am proud to call you my friend.
Im farking proud to call all of you my friends and god one day it would be nice to have a big loamers party but not at Nars, its way too cold to go there.AF free 1st December 2013 - 1st December 2022 - 9 years of freedom

NS, WOW, Way to GO Girl...500 Days!!
You are amazing NS. Thank you for all the support you have given us. I am grateful for all the advice and (a few butt kicks) that you have given me. What a difference it has made!
J-Vo, you are sounding much better. I am so glad. It is tough sometimes getting out of a funk.
Pav, we did not cross post tonight. Amazing! Enjoy your soft pillow and good book.
SL, hope you are doing well hon. Enjoy your comfy bed tonight.
Hey G! Glad to hear from you. We are kind of a crazy bunch!
I went out with my friends last night and of course they talked about the Pinot they were drinking and one of the girls owns a wine company so she told the story about the wine and why it was so good and blah blah blah. I did find it a little difficult not to drink but I had already told them I wasn't drinking any more so I couldn't really say "um, I changed my mind" haha! Thank goodness for that! So anyway, I just sat through it and drank my freakin Perrier and was grateful I could drive home. I was also grateful that I did not spend the whole time at supper obsessing about having more wine. That sucks big time.
I am off to bed now. Just using my computer so I don't have to type on my I phone in bed. My mini should be here this week sometime. I can hardly wait!
Love you girls, your posts were awesome this weekend. Oh, and Francis, I am so glad you could see yourself in my story. All these stories help, no use making the same mistake that others make, right?!Narilly

What nice messages to wake up and read! Thank you . Since my problem and recovery have both been very private, it is really great to have all of you to share the ups and downs. The good news is the ups become more and more common with the downs fewer and farther between so do whatever it takes to keep your AF streaks going - you'll never regret it.
xx, NS

MAE Loamers and Moamers,
Nar, I'm glad your dinner went well even though I know it had to have been tough in a way. I think that this is part of recovery, but we don't want to stay stuck in this feeling "tough." All of my gf's will drink when we go out, and the few close gf's that I have know I quit and know my battle so they're happy that i don't drink. And they're "normal" drinkers. Just like I don't expect my DH to quit having a few beers here or there, I don't expect to hang out with a whole new crew of gf's just because they drink a few glasses of wine or beer. But for us, I think this is a part of what we need to work on next in our sobriety. The thing of it being "tough." Maybe it gets easier with time, but I truly believe we have to do some work in the area. Maybe what we need to do is focus more on gratitude during those "tough" moments. I read somewhere that we can rewire our brains. Not only should we rewire our brains by replacing negative thoughts with positives, but to become more accepting of not drinking, we need to move from deprivation (it being "tough") to gratitude. I know I"m not there yet, but I know this is something I need to work on, and if we don't, we'll stay stuck in this negative frame of mind. We aren't pessimists so it doesn't go well with our personalities to focus on the negatives of the situation. We'll get there, Nar.
Patrice, good on 13 Girl!!!!! Good luck with your workload this week.
NS, you certainly do Rawwwwk! Thank you, my personal stalker.
Have a great day ladies.Sometimes what you're most afraid of doing is the very thing that will set you free.
