hi loamers
well another weekend nearly over. Not much to report except things are going fine with this guy, taking it nice and slow and yes nar the sex "on tap" is great lol.
Having a family afternoon, girls coming over and i am finally going to get my haircut and dyed so i look like a "lesbian dyke" which means a short haircut in family lingo. Not a good look waking up looking like a cockatoo.
Pat day 18, you sound right on track which is great, not long till those 3 weeks. So the cross trainer is no longer a clothes horse then? I still have a "dooby" hanging on my door that i bought to exercise with and keep looking at it and looking at it and as i type i am looking at it.
Dot how are you? How is the house selling going? on the market yet? How is Maddy? I bet he has settled right in at home now. My mad is fine although i have to take her to the vets this week for some more epilepsy medication but you would never know she had been sick which is great.
Fathers day overseas, thats close to mothers day. our fathers day is in september, not that we do anything special. I dont talk to my father and the kids dont see theirs. I do think they should celebrate me being mother and father but they think otherwise bless them.
Well nothing new to report. Trying to get the washing done as the rains are coming and its pretty cold now at night. i refuse to use the clothes dryer as it is way to expensive on the electricity bill although its tempting i must say.
Glad everyone is doing well and hope to catch up with some goss later.

Good morning (here) Ladies
Question for the wise ones please: Do any of you tell people (like colleagues, new people you meet) when drinks are offered that you don't drink, and when they ask why, you tell them you are a recovering alcoholic?
I have not done that. It feels so final. Like there is no going back ever. Not a shred of a possibility that maybe one fine day one can be a normal drinker.
Please advise!AF since 28 October 2013

It does sound so final doesnt it Giraffe. I have not been questioned as to why i dont drink, i just say i dont and thats basically all anyone asks. Its scary as even though i know i am an alcoholic saying it is a different matter. I can say it to my children as they know but when i initially told them i was an alcoholic they said "no you just drink too much" and i said "no i am an alcoholic". It did feel good but i feel there are only a certain few people that i could tell. Wow this does not help at all lol but sounds good.
There is no shred of possibility that i can ever be a normal drinker and like you i think maybe but maybe wont be until the day i die.AF free 1st December 2013 - 1st December 2022 - 9 years of freedom

My daughter is a normal drinker LB, not sure where she got that from, definitely not me and my son hardly drinks at all as he seen me in action and was addicted to crack so knows he would probably become addicted to al. A sensible man in that respect. I think i was always attracted to people that drank more than normal as it made me look good also.
Roxy congratulations on your 50 days today. You know how i feel and i am so proud of you my friend. You have achieved what you thought impossible and have done it with all the bitching, moaning, groaning and pomp and ceremony that you could muster. I say that with the hugest amount of pride and respect for your accomplishment. A huge hug from Aus land today.
Well work tomorrow and i have had a lovely few hours with the children. I have the haircut and am happy. Fed and watered the tribe and they have all gone now happy and content.AF free 1st December 2013 - 1st December 2022 - 9 years of freedom
