I've missed you LB! Glad you had a great time at the dude ranch. What does one do at a dude ranch? Are there cute dude's? LOL...stupid joke.

El, congrats on your 50! How freaking awesome for you!

Missed you all. I'm home!!!!!!! Our plane was delayed 7 hours. Yes, we sat in the airport all day. Wow, glad to be home.

    Ok...night.

      That's funny.
Horses to ride. Animals to pet and look at. Trails to ride on or hike. We hiked. Dogs can't ride horseback.A nice pool to swim in.
No matter how far you go or how fast you run, you can't get away from yourself. ....said at an AA meeting. It stuck with me.

Lil B, that sounds like a really fun time. I want to go to a Dude Ranch!

J-Vo, so glad you are back and did not drink. That is amazing! YOU ar amazing!

Ava, that note your daughter sent you is awesome. I mean, it brought a tear to my eye too! You are so lucky and so are they to have such a good MUM.

Jane, way to go on 180 days!!! Yahoo!

Pav and Jane, you both have so many days under your belt an still there is that pull. I felt it tonight when my hubs family was here and drinking wine. They had a toast so champagne and I thought that I could have just a tiny bit. WTH! Of course I didn't, but I really had to be strong and just say No!

Pav, my daughter is going to school in Sept. I will really miss her. You will miss your son too, all these little absences gets us ready for the day they leave home it's not easy, I agree.

El, hope your headaches are gone, the magnesium sounds like a good one.

        Anyway, I'm tired so Goodnight!

Jane, thank you. Yes, we are a very lucky bunch to have found this support. I feel like you gals are as close to me as friends I see in person. Thank you.

            Good morning, Ladies!
Nothing I enjoy more than fixing breakfast, making a coffee and sitting down with you all. Today I am very grateful to J-vo for starting this thread! Welcome home!!!! I'm so happy that you're safe and sound and with a huge new success added on to your AF foundation. Well done, J-vo!

ELOUISE!! YAAAYY for your 50 days! Quite an accomplishment! I hope you have a lovely Sunday celebrating.

Nar, that must have been tough last night with hubs and the family. For me, those intimate group settings are by far the most difficult. I've usually failed in the past because I haven't been able to get past how uncomfortable I've felt. Does your family know you've given up drinking? Next time I'm in the situation, I will think about how short the actual "celebratory drinking" time is --maybe and hour or two?-- and then how long the time of remorse is if I decide to drink. If it happened tonight I'd have at least 8 days (probably longer as I'd have opened the door of doubt) of remorse to look forward to. Definitely not worth it. I know how good you'll feel this morning for sticking to your AF plan/lifestyle. And you've added another notch on your sober belt.

Ava, read in the NN that you've got a new hair colour? Bet it looks gorgeous! Are you still a redhead?? It was great what you said about looking in the mirror and being proud of who you now see! Today was the first day in a long time that I've been able to do that. Partly because I've been on a special diet and my skin looks good, but mostly because my eyes are shining and my mind is set for success. I haven't felt so strong, really, truly, not just faking it or trying to convince myself, since last year. Finally! I feel like I'm back on track--

LB, I was wondering when you said Dolly was so sore-- I didn't think she could ride! Sounds like you had a fabulous time. Sad about your friend. F****** drugs and alcohol.

Pav, I do the same as you with friends-- I'm often saying, "I know a lot of people who....", meaning all of you, or "I know a woman who...". So nice to have you all in my life. You are right about the 13 year old-- I am trying to give him more responsibility. And yesterday my BF called me after our talk to say I was right--he had been defensive and realised it on his way to work. Progress is being made. Your cleaning sounds insane! Going behind furniture is definitely gutsy!!

Jane, Pat, NS, Wags, Ginger, wishing you all a wonderful Sunday.

Eloise, so happy for you! 50 days and counting....
Well, I got up Friday and got sick...went to bed and slept mist of the day and had an excruciating headache that had me up to the early hours of Saturday morning. By that afternoon things seemed back to normal....thank God!
Was reading here but too unwell to participate....
Wags, I feel for you.....I have relocated a few times....the hardest was actually coming home after 12 years away....felt so out of it....when I eventually made friends and told them how I felt when they got together and I was left out, they felt so bad....just never thought.....it will take time...
But, while I was feeling left out and lonely, I believe that is when my problems with alcohol really took off....wine became my friend, support.....we all know the rest.....isn't hindsight wonderful?
Ava, another gurner here! I just welled up when I read what your daughter said.....makes it all worthwhile.....
Weighed myself today....I have lost a stone in total, most since gong AF and the added exercise....chuffed!
We have a sunny day here mixed with thunder and clouds......going to get out and about! Catch up later.....

Ava - Love the message from your daughter! That is a keeper I'm sure you'll re-read many times. Thanks so much for sharing this with us.

LB - Glad you had such a great time at the dude ranch. When I read about your pup being almost too sore to walk, I briefly envisioned a doggie on horseback

                    Eloise
                    - Belated congrats on the 50 days, and love your artwork. I'd love to see more when/if you are comfortable.

You're doing so well and staying true to your commitment despite your headaches. That is impressive!

I guess this should be 1 artist, 50 days but this is as close as The Google could get .

                              MAE Ladies!

                              Patrice,
Good luck on your holiday! Enjoy yourself and your al-free vacation. I can tell you that I felt good everyday on mine. It was a first, and one I'll not forget. Be safe!

                              Nar,
I still get tugs or whatever it is. I don't know if it will go away or lessen, but I want to keep on going with you.

                              LC,
Glad you're here. I love your bright and sunny posts. And I didn't start this thread, Acadia of Maine did, and I wish she would come back. But so glad you're feeling great.

Daisy, glad you're feeling better! Enjoy your Sunday.

El, happy 50th! So awesome, Lady!

Ava, Pav, Jane, and NS, will those pangs subside? I guess it's a part of the deprivation mode. Gotta get out of that! I think it's lessened quite a bit. While in Mexico, I felt it here and there, but it wasn't a huge pull. My gratitude needs to outweigh any deprivation I may feel or think I feel. Nar and I could use feedback on this one.

SL, you're doing so great! We are making girl.

Ginger and Wags, so glad you joined this thread. We are working towards the best goal of our lives.

LB, no dudes? Well, sounds like an awesome get-away. Glad doggies had a great time, and yes, I pictured them horseback, too!

                              Kailey, come back!

I hope I didn't miss any Loamers. I don't feel like I'm on my game yet. Didn't even unpack which I'll do shortly. Have a great AF day ladies.
