Yep, Daisy. You started it all.

Daisy, Acadia, Kailey, Scottish Lass and the star were struggling way back when....Daisy, Acadia, Kailey and Scottish Lass have progressed... Star, not so much...Love you all and trying to tag on
You are so right! Daisy's thread is where I really started getting this right. I think I'm there now, but if you look at our quit dates we're only a day apart, Star, so you and I are pulling up the rear. No problem, were getting there! I am a million miles ahead of where I was 6 months, a year, 2 years, 5 years ago. I think I've finally got it... now I just need to rack up the days to prove it. Let's stick together, Star, and get this done!
You had the power all along, my dear.

      We'll do, kailey
Credit is also due to jvo, I believe, who had the foresight to put it all together into a comprehensive thread, instead of a weekly thread. And look at us now ! 500 plus posts. Thank you each and every one and especially Acadia and Jvo !

So glad I popped in - Hi ANN!!!!!! So great to see you here!!! 200 days!
Made my Friday - better than a glass of wine any day
Star - very well done on your week, in no time at all you will be stringing up the days!
Feels like a reunion and the ladies on here are all racking up fabulous successes - this si a truly amazing thread, even if it moves too quickly for my poor head - I do check in almost every day and continue to be impressed with everyone signing up for their mission..

So great to see all the "old timers" are still here and are still making the wonderful life we know is out there our own

Feeling so warm and fuzzy here - might be because it is 100 degrees, but think it is because this group of wonderful ladies (and the daring gentleman or two) are still together and are still winning the good fight.

TGIF to you all, and especially to Ann, Star, Daisy and Kailey...:l:l:l:l
Jane - very well done on your 200 too!

Acadia, remember the start of this thread, and it was the best thing that ever happened to me.

              Daisy, kailey, Star,
I am so proud of you all and proud of myself, just racing up the days. We are so lucky to have each other!
And Jane, well WAY TO GO, 200 DAYS!!
You da bomb! I love your pool boy by the way, oooh la la!

I feel warm and fuzzy too SL.
I found Kombucha today and bought a couple of bottles. Thanks NS, it tastes good. Better than vino anytime!

J-Vo, you sound like you are enjoying yourself. Ya, we party a lot in the summer because it is actually warm here!

Daisy, family drama? That is the worst, especially if your daughter is involved. Hang in there.

Well, I am going to have popcorn, drink Kombucha and watch TV with my fam.
              Have a great night!

                  hi loamers

200 days jane, woo hoo to you girl and you deserve every single one of those af day. so farking proud of you. I always have cancer when there is something wrong with me. My dr just shakes his head when i say to him "just tell me its cancer". my anxiety but i still stress. didnt stress about drinking though. well i did but i just didnt want to stop. i do hope everything goes ok for you. as i said to mum, i seem to be bloody getting everything now i dont drink. she laughed.

we had a good talk today about alcoholism in the family and she always knew i drank too much but as i said to her, i didnt care and if she had told me to my face i would have gotten defensive. so we talked for about an hour and i told her all about you guys and how this is my AA. its nice to be open about my drinking finally.

well mum has made a prawn cocktail for lunch so off i go to eat it. ive farked her computer and trying to fix it but i am much better at breaking things than fixing them. god where is that man i am always searching for.

Star good on you for 7 days, let them start rolling by and you wont regret it ever.

                      Hi, Peeps--

I survived my days off the grid - happily and alcohol free. There was one evening after a particularly strenuous exercise day in hot weather when I was totally drawn to a beer, but it was thankfully quick. I missed you ladies, though!

I didn't read too carefully, but I skimmed back.

CONGRATULATIONS JANE! 200+ days is amazing - even with lumps, infections, and shitty stepchildren you have kept your sense of humor, honesty and determination. I remember back when you started you posted a picture of your shadow running to the end of the block and back to keep yourself occupied - now you are a stalwart member of the long timers here. Way to go!

Star - one week on this, your last quit! You, too, Kailey! So glad this thread was started, however it was started. I lurked on the Daisy thread, too - it gave me inspiration as well. Ann - so great to see you swing by, too.

Ava - did you meet Petrel face to face? You'll have to look up Mr. G and go hear his music for us also! That is cool to meet someone from here face to face. Have fun at your mom's and don't fark anything more up, FFS!

SL - Verklempt! I love it. I get that way, too. It is so awesome to see so much support and success here. This thread moves fast for me, too, and I am back to work next week, so I am sure I will lose track of it all.

NS, Nar, LB, LC, Wags, El, Ginger, Patrice, J-Vo - anyone else I missed - glad all is well here with the loamers. I'm going to check in at the Nest and then hit the hay.

                        Jane,

Lots of people get nodules removed, I had one of my four parathyroid glands removed because it had some sort of nodule on it that was screwing up my blood calcium levels. I think it's common to have these issues. Try not to worry overly-you have a good doctor!

                        Night night.

Well done on 200 days! Major major major. I'm celebrating with you.

Ava, your posts are so refreshing and honest. I liked that bit where you feel ok to open up about your past drinking habits. After some time it does feel that the chains holding you captive have been sufficiently broken to admit that you'd been trapped and only you had the ability to free yourself.

Sorry I'm rambling here; had surgery two days ago and anesthetic brain has kicked in. Was so cool though to tick the "nill" box for alcohol consumption on the form.

Hope you are all well and sorely missed the loamer chats while i had been away. Hugs to everybody.

Giraffe i seen your post and just had to say hello. I feel as if the chains are just dropping off one by one and a great weight has been lifted off me. I was thinking before that when mum and i were having coffee we were both laughing and i have had no reason to laugh with mum for such a long time. i know we have a lot of bridges to build in our relationship but each time it just gets better and better. I hope your surgery went well, dont you love ticking boxes and feeling proud. i hate ticking the age box now, seems to be in such an "old" category ha ha.

Pav, lunch is tomorrow and its pretty exciting to meet the man that mum has me marrying so i move up to be near her. oh i dont have to marry him she says, just move in and up here. i will totally let you all know how lunch went tomorrow afternoon.

Jane lunch was lovely and i am so enjoying being spoilt. we just had dinner and mum said she could not believe how much of the meal i ate. I told her that before food interrupted my drinking, thank you very much and i had my priorities back then.

Just a quick check in today. I have a super busy weekend. A house full of company (sisters and some brothers in law). My dad died in June and tomorrow is his birthday. We all wanted to be together to get thru this first one.

Love you all so much! Will check in when I can
