Wagmore! Congrats on 90 days. I have a bumper sticker that says "Wagmore Barkless". I think of you every time I look at it!
Hope all you wonderful ladies are doing well. I've taken a consultant contract with the college I retired from so my time has suddenly become someone else's and I'm not. Oh well it's only 60 hours and I'm AF so all is well!

Jane I was wondering the same thing.
Wags congratulations on those 90 days. I can lookmat a picture taken when I was drinking and be right back in the same frame of mind. But I am learning to accept that as my past.
Youbare doing so great. Good for you deleting those texts. No matter how far you go or how fast you run, you can't get away from yourself. ....said at an AA meeting. It stuck with me.

Wags congratulations on 90 days. Its amazing when we think back on how much of a rock bottom we were at and even now having our ups and downs how life is so much better. A wonderful achievement for you. Watch these last ten days drag to the triple digits lol.
I cant leave where i work as i have nearly been there 7 years and would lose too many benefits by going into a private area. Public servants jobs are like that, benefits great, work conditions crap.
Well i woke to the news saying that 15 Australians die a day from al related illness. Farking finally a real story. They are now talking about stopping sports events promoting al, labelling, making al more expensive but of course its all talk but we can only hope. I was hoping they would have a link to share your views but will look into that today.
Well feeling like a truck ran me over. Jane maybe we can start a thread on "im over being in pain" thread. Friday cannot come soon enough or the needle big enough.
Off to work i go, love you girls xxxxAF free 1st December 2013 - 1st December 2022 - 9 years of freedom

Hi guys! Well, I turned 49 today and had the busiest best birthday! The reason being down to my daughter passing her driving test today.
My daughter has had 7 years of dealing with severe anxiety and it has changed everything in our lives.....I had to leave my job 4 years ago. She has been home-schooled for her whole secondary education....no exams and with that no schoolgirl friendships. I could not see a way out and after (in hindsight wish I hadn't) seeing doctors of every variety and making things worse I decided to do it my way and gently try to encourage and build her confidence......today is a day I did not see happening!
At the test centre, my daughters cried, I screamed, jumped, cried, hugged the instructor.....We looked like we were nuts, but noone knew what it meant to us...
My 3 daughters and I kept her lessons secret so today was the first anyone knew of it.
She woke today and wished me a happy birthday, then she cried......did not think she would get through it. Anyway, she did. Her dad and brother only found out today and they were in tears too!
What a day.....bursting with pride for her....something so many take for granted.
Now she can see possibilities and start believing in herself.....IT'S NEVER TOO LATE TO BE WHAT YOU MIGHT HAVE BEEN
Relapse starts long before the drink is drunk!!.Fresh Start!

Daisy - Happy Birthday!!! And thanks for sharing the story about your daughter. Big congratulations to her on getting her DL. From what you described, this was a huge accomplishment (bigger than usual, and it's already a big deal). Kudos to you as her mom for gently supporting and encouraging her these past several years. Good job mama!

Have you started packing for our :beach: trip yet, SL? I'm starting to "make piles". I like many things about driving instead of flying but it does make me a very inefficient packer!
Wow, Daisy - what a birthday gift your daughter gave you. And is she ever fortunate to have you for a mom. Home schooling must be challenging and a huge commitment. Were you her main teacher for all subjects?
Ginger, I'm so sorry about your pup, Ellie. Ther are several dog-lovers here and we understand the agony of planning to let a best friend go :l.
