Gee, Nar, you said that might happen but it still is a blow that it did. I hope he is handling it ok. It must be tough on him - as well as you :l. How great that you're there to support him (and not have stupid fights b/c of too much booze).

A thong beach just about did my family in several years ago - I don't know how we'd manage a nude one :H! My packing is mostly stuff for the condo so we don't have to stock the kitchen from scratch. I love being in a condo and doing our own meals but it does take more planning.

I'll be in your neck of the woods, LB! Just head east on 10 .

You are right NS, no stupid fights because we are drinking. What a relief!

          Goodnight:h

            Hi, Ladies:

Wags - WAY TO GO on 90 days. That was a BIG deal for me - almost to the triple digits!!

Daisy - what a wonderful story and a great birthday present for a great mom.

Nar - Sorry about your husband's job. That must be very stressful.

Ava - I found a body worker (massage therapist) who helped make my shoulder pain (was not as bad as yours) better by some massage and manipulation (a bit odd to be massaged in the armpit, but once I got over that)... I hope the shot works - I may have to go in for one soon myself.

Alky posted about a doco called Lipstick and Liquor - I just watched it. About women and alcoholism. I have to admit that some of it was a bit hokey and there seems to be a lot of money in the group, but it was inspiring to hear stories of long-term success (and a tragic story as well). You can get it for free with Amazon Prime. There are psychologists who talk about the stigma that women bring to being alcohol dependent - and that they are judged more harshly than men by society and their families. I found it interesting.

            Toddling off to bed.

Ha NS - no piles, made a list though I better get my head on though - office day tomorrow so that leaves Friday to get an awful lot done! I looked a cost of checked bags, and wish we were driving:upset: also looking at rental cars to get around easily, but cost of parking - holiday is getting more and more $$$$
Off to bed, see y'all tomorrow!

Happy birthday Daisy i am so proud of you for your achievement with your daughter. It takes so much love and dedication to bring up our special kids and they are all special but some more so. I know with Liam that from pre school when he slapped the teacher across the face and called her a bitch that i was in for a struggle forever but it was all worth it and i never regret one day i have spent sticking up and being there for him.

NS i have a nudist beach just up the road from me, come sit in the sun with me!

Pav, i am thinking maybe i am a wimp with pain now. i can get physiotherapy free at work but the exercises the dr gave me kill me so will wait until the needle.

Well thank god it is friday here tomorrow.

:bday7: Daisy! And thanks so much for sharing the story about your daughter. She sounds a lot like my oldest. She is lucky to have a mom like you!

So sorry about the loss of your husband's job, Nar!

                      Have a great day, all!

Star, Pav, everyone, thank you. This has been happening ever since I met my husband. It is always stressful when he loses his job but so far he has been able to get work fairly quickly after. Poor guy, he just has to find the right fit.

Anyway, I have a super duper busy day ahead of me and may not be able to check in until later.

                        Love all y'all.

Pav - 90 Days did feel huge yesterday, and now today is 13 weeks. I've had my eye on 100 days ever since I reached 50 or so. Can't wait to see triple digits and join the 100-day thread

Thanks for mentioning the L&L doc posted about by Alky. Missed the original post but will have to check out the doc.

Nar - So sorry to hear about your husband's job, but yes - at least you're able to help cope and support without AL in the way. Fingers crossed he'll find something new very quickly.

NS - Condo sounds great - when should we all show up? :H

                          Ava
                          - Sounds like your shoulder pain is really getting to you if PT is too painful. I really hope the shot brings you some relief. I must have missed it - did you injure it recently, or is this more of a chronic issue?

I had a middle of the night emergency with my dog last night and ended up in the Puppy ER from ~ 11pm- 2am. I was the only one home so it was all up to me. I WAS THERE AND I WAS READY! I didn't freak out (not life-threatening), stayed calm, handled what needed to be handled, and the whole time was acutely aware of what a disaster this would have been in the Bad Old Days. Other than the consequences for the pup and my wallet, it was an incredibly positive, empowering experience. So, she and I snuggled up on the floor and had a very nice slumber party. I got about 3 hours of sleep but I'm so relieved/ecstatic that she is fine AND SO AM I, it's all good .

                                Hi Girlies,

Wags, congratulations on your 90 yesterday! That's awesome!!!!

Daisy, I got teary when I read your story. I've suffered with a lot of anxiety, and to accomplish something huge like that, wow! And happy birthday!!!!!

Nar, sorry about DH's job. What is the market like for his profession? Fingers crossed.

SL and NS, get your asses in gear, will ya!

Have a busy day today ladies. I'm making it that way! My husband's uncle and aunt have a chiropractic business about 15 minutes away and they specialize in homeopathic remedies and lots of other stuff. I think it's time I take a step forward with my health. I'd like to see if I can get off 2 of my 4 meds and I think it's possible. I'm making my consultation visit with John's aunt whom I've known for over 30 years, and what's good is that I really trust her.

Have a great one today all!
