Ladies on a Mission: The Official Site

Well done Wags - and well done for enjoying your achievement.
    Happy 100 El!
Well, I went bra shopping today for my 6 month celebration - my 13 year old needed measuring and all new bras - she si getting to be a "big" girl, my oldest is a "petite" girl - they are so different. So I recalled someone treating themselves to new bras for a mile stone - must have been you Ava that I was channeling, and I think Pav did it too once Anyhow we both came out with three bras each and NO tears:H

Roonie I have celebrated by buying a lovely picture for my wall - it is a photo of one of my favorite places (I think that was my 100 day reward) and it makes me so happy to look at, and reminds me that I love sober life. And always vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce - oh, you were asking for things that are good for you:H

I have signed up for Nursie's home - I got an email this morning to tell me of activity - I used to get those from MWO, but they went away...I like to get the email...

Happy days to all the Loamers. I hope back to school goes well LC - mine went back to school last week, and my bank is now empty due to buying school supplies

I love that picture SL. I totally remember you getting that.
Pav, I am glad you didn't mistakenly drink. That is scary! I hung int there and didn't drink either. I think I will get some L Glutamine and Evening Primrose to help me out.

Elaine, way to go on 100 Days!! Yippee! You definitely should have some Carrot Cake!.

What is Nursies Home? I missed something and am having trouble going back.

      Goodnight Gloamers.

Hi Nar, Nursie's home is a new forum she set up in the event that MWO goes away. It's a free forum! You can register here: Login Required | Forum Many of us have signed up already, just in case something were to happen with all the spamming going on. With that said... RJ just posted this update: https://www.mywayout.org/community/f8...way-94560.html with the plans for this site.

          MAE everyone,

In case some folks didn't see it, be sure to check out the new info under Updates from RJ - stuff she's posted in the past 24 hours or so with more details about the future of the site (sounds promising).

Walking through the auto sales service lot this morning I saw an old, rusty sign. Posatively no drugs.
I haven't seen that saying for a long time.
I started thinking about that. Well alcohol is definately a drug and no alcohol is definately posative. My life has become a lot more posative without alcohol or drugs.

              Good Morning, Loamers!

ELOISE!!! Congratulations getting into double digits! 100 days is such a great accomplishment. You get to post on a new thread and everything. I hope that even if you can't celebrate with your DH, that you will do something nice for yourself, know that you are the hearts of all of us-- I will definitely be eating both a piece of carrot cake and some of the plum crumble I baked for your party. I couldn't resist.. Here's to you and the first 100 days of your new life..:rays:

Positive! with no drugs!!! I like it LB.. Funny that that sign would be hanging in an old auto lot, isn't it? I guess they've taken No Smoking a step further, which is great. Are you on the lookout for a new/used car?

SL, I don't think I can wait 87 more days, let alone 5 months and 2 weeks!to buy new bras!:H It's a sad story here, it is!! My almost 13 year old doesn't yet need one--she has one for sports, but doesn't want one for daily wear yet. It is amazing how differently all of the girls mature. I noticed last night when she got out of the shower how much pubic hair she already has..I was a bit shocked at how fast the changes seem to be happening now. I've (conveniently?) forgotten all of my own experiences from those days. I may have already asked, but do know of any good books about puberty/becoming a woman for girls that age (and the parents) to read? That question is for any of you with a good recommendation!
I love the idea of buying a picture as a reward. I can imagine that would also be a great tool to have..

Nar, Your dinner sounds fab! I think I'll follow your lead and cook it tonight for myself. And ice cream for El's party would be great.. What is the Evening Primrose supposed to be good for with regards to cravings? Hope this week proves to be less of a challenge for you, with no surprise visits from the al voice!

I also read the update from RJ and it does sound promising. Looks like she/they are still committed, but in need of some financial support. I will look into paypal and sending a donation.

I'm finding that any change of scenario at the moment brings on a bit of a trigger. Today I dropped the girls off at school and they'll go to their dad's after, for the week. I have until Wed. on my own and there was the tiniest thought of "living it up" until then. I quickly disregarded the thought. Alcohol doesn't have any place in my life. It fucks up EVERYTHING I want to do, Everything that I am. It was so nice to have the past 4 days with the girls.. they are so in need of a mother. In the middle of the night the little one came into my bed, crying from a nightmare. I was able to hug her and comfort her and get her back to sleep. I have had NO regrets or shame the past week and a half and it feels so good!!!!

:h to Jane, NS, Daisy, Ava, Wags, Ginger, Pav (thank god there wasn't any booze in the coffee!!!),Dottie, all you wonderful Ladies and Guys checking in here today!

Thanks Lifechange- taking a little break at work... i am the only female working today. Feels kinda funny.

                Yup, 100 days... Feels good.
If I can do this It is possible for everyone, one of the reasons I jsut dont wanna drink is because it was so bloody hard to quit! Dont I know it... Must stay quit. Period. No drinking, at all, done.

Thanks everyone for helping me make this happen.

Eloise 100 days is just stupendous. I felt so wonderful when I hit that mark. Like my life was really, I mean REALLY changing.
LC I live in an odd location in our city. Its zoned commercially, on a fairly large piece of land, yes lots of grass to mow, surrounded by car lots, a bumper car place, behind a deli which is really an alcohol store, a hair salon, and a fake weed store. A couple of businesses down and then a huge apartment complex, section 8 housing. (Government subsidized). It's not dangerous and we are very secluded. We can't be seen from the road unless you know what to look for. The car lots have a HUGE field behind them, between us where doggies and I walk. We explore through the car lots on Sundays sometimes. They had a sticker up selling ferrets too I noticed.

It feels really good to hit such a significant milestone, doesn't it? We're in approximately the same neighborhood re: days (I just reach 100 about 2 weeks ago), so let's continue onward and upward together!

Celebrate your accomplishment in some way that is meaningful to you. I bought myself a new paddle - way better than a bra

I posted it last night late and my spell check turned it into Elaine! So proud of you El. I know it has been tough especially since you have been sick, in a new country, had to move, hubby being cranky....

Hi LC - my 13 year old gets mistaken for a 20yr old :upset: She is fully developed and had periods for a year! Both my girls loved the American Girl series - and The Care and Keeping of you is a great one, there are two, one for a little older - it gave me a good perspective to be able to speak to them. My youngest did most of her learning from the oldest (nearly 16) and that seems a a long time ago now, but these books were great. My oldest even had her Dad read so she could speak to him
