Haha... Thanks Ginger & Dottie. Without the support I get here I would definitely still be drinking, no doubt about it.
      Challenging days these are, omg.
I think of all the peaceful evenings I have lived and wonder what the hell was I thinking moving to Europe? Seriously. I am so entirely alone, well I guess I am a lot less alone with you all keeping me in line, right? so good i am no longer drinking. Things would really be off the wall, no doubt about it. Bed soon, its early but will be a welcome relief.

I posted it last night late and my spell check turned it into Elaine! So proud of you El. I know it has been tough especially since you have been sick, in a new country, had to move, hubby being cranky....
          Way to go EL!

Thanks! Yeah, not a good memory making time to say the least.

              El,
Two great things to be happy about today. First, no cancer. That has to be a huge and heavy worry off your mind.:l And congratulations on your 100! That's incredible and admirable, my dear girl. You've come so far. You're such a strong person. To be so far away from home in an unfamiliar country. Don't know if I could do as well as you do. Gosh, I'd NEVER hear that from my DH about having a glass to celebrate! Keep doing what you're doing, El.:goodjob::yougo::dancin:

Long, boring day at work. Speaker this morning for three hours. Then meetings in afternoon. Gosh, can't wait for Wednesday when the kids come!

Rooni, that story was a good one to visualize. I've been there and done that so many times. I didn't care about the good food, just the booze. I haven't had much of an opportunity to see any people overdoing, except SIL on vacation. I don't miss that completely out of control feeling, and that's the way it always ended up for me. Always. And the hangover. Always.

Everyone sounds great and on the sober fast-track.

Reading Rachel Black's Sober is the New Black. This is always something to remember...

Alcohol/wine/beer/spirits are always the problem and NEVER the solution. Never think we'll feel better after one, because there's never one, ever. Play it till the end with cravings. Remember the problems drinking caused. Anxiety, depression, panic attacks, low self-esteem, no energy, mood swings, less than a good mother, wife, daughter, sister, friend, compromised health, puffy face, bloated belly, weight gain, headaches, dehydration, just to name a few of the problems.

                        Just reflecting...

I was feeling a bit agitated today after work. I took a rest and was still feeling tired. I sat and read some, and the more I sate, the more I thought that I couldn't wait until bedtime. I told DH, let's put on our tennis shoes and go for a walk. What a perfect solution to that agitated, tired feeling. I could have laid there the rest of the night like that, but getting out in the fresh air was perfect. A solution.

I read Rooni's post # 6433, ya, that was a good story and a good reminder of exactly what I don't want to do, ever! It's funny how we think celebrating means numbing our senses and getting drunk. Like we don't want to really Feel the occasion.
Waking up hungover never feels good. Nope, not worth it.

                                Hi, Everyone:

Eloise! CONGRATULATIONS! So excited for you, and for the gloamers. Another group win!

And Giraffe! Whoa. 300 is BIG. Only 65 days until a year.

Did you both buy new bras? Highly recommend...

How do you find someone's permalink #?

Very busy with work and fun. I didn't sleep enough this weekend, so I feel like I need another day off. Good thing I get three days next weekend...

Good night. Narilly - I have been thinking about you. I hope your cravings and "just one" thoughts have settled down. Let us know if they haven't and we'll help!
