Ladies on a Mission: The Official Site

    Thanks Pav.
I bought L Glutamine today and evening primrose oil to help with any cravings. Hopefully it helps. It may be more a psychological than a physical craving but I'll try it anyway.
I did the first meditation in the headspace.com link that RJ was talking about. It was pretty good. I fell asleep a couple of time (I over relax) but the meditation was only 10 minutes so was easy to do.
    Try it out Gloamers!
Pav, the perm a link is the number on the top of every post. For example, your post was #6477.
Ya, I think it's time for a new bra for me too. My girls need more support
    Anyway, time for bed.
    Goodnight.

Thank you Pav, yes 300 is a big thing for me. Couldn't have done it without the MWO support, and especially the Loamers!

And no, I have not yet bought a new bra.
Going to that Mozambique wedding in Sept with a strappy dress and NO bra. That will be a first for me (since I was 12).

Being sober at a wedding will also be a first for me (since I was 12).

      xoxo all

Ladies I am stressed today. I still have no banking and now the powers that be at the bank have resorted to ignoring me. Not giving me ANY answers. And my vacuum broke. I use it everyday for work so am suffering with a very heavy, awkward, poorly working substitute. So I pulled a serious muscle in my back just over my shoulder blade. Oh I am FRUSTRATED!!!!!
NO. I don't want a drink. Hubby is worried about me. My brain is not working properly.

Man, LB. You have some tough stuff going on :l. I hate dealing with impersonal institutions when they have all the power over something you need. I hope the vacuum and your back can be fixed quickly. So glad you know that AL is incompetent when it comes to financial matters, small appliance repair, and physical therapy! xx-NS

                Hey Loamers,

Geez, that's no good LB. Would a banking ombudsman or consumer rights organisation help out? Rest that muscle. Must be time for a tea break?!

What a perfect solution to that agitated, tired feeling. I could have laid there the rest of the night like that, but getting out in the fresh air was perfect. A solution.
Great job j-vo! Going for a walk is such a great way to de-stress, and I'm sure the fresh air did nothing but help. Glad your husband joined you!

Nar - I use L-glut for cravings (both sugar and Al) and it really seems to help. Not sure how they recommend it here on MWO, but I've had really good success with Julia Ross's (The Mood Cure, The Diet Cure) recommendation to put the powder directly under your tongue. Thanks also for commenting on the headspace meditation - I visited the site but haven't tried anything yet - will do so now!

LB - sounds like a heap of crap falling on you all at the same time. You're in the U.S. right? Maybe a credit union would be a good option instead of a bank? A lot of them allow you to join even if you aren't part of the "group" they originally formed to serve, and they tend to be much more human and personal in the way they treat potential and existing members. Hugs to you.

Giraffe, I guess you don't NEED a new bra because your girls stand up and salute the sun! Lucky you

Maybe I should consider that procedure...it would save me a lot of money on new bras...kidding
Way to go on 300 days! I already posted it above but will say it again. Big bear hug to Giraffe!

Hey LB, your bank sounds terrible, and the vacuum? Hang in there, and take care of your back. You don't want to have back problems when you get older, that would suck.

Another busy day at work. Happy to be un hungover and feelin' good.

                      xo

I just came across an interesting website you might like concerning alcoholism and nutrition. It probably won't be new to you but it's nice to have it in one place: Alternatives for Alcoholism.

I'm not sure what you mean, El. You could just click on the link and leave it open on your computer until later. Or, you could find my note with the link by looking at all my posts or perhaps jot down #6489 (permalink) to get back to it later. Is that what you were asking ? I'm sorry you have another headache - hope it passes quickly. xx
