Been thinking of you Jane, and had not managed to respond about the party - but you were in my mind. I am glad it went well.

Hi Loamers, well coffee in hand and thinking of what to do today as the weather is supposed to turn to crap tomorrow which coincides with Monday which is what Monday is, crap!

Nar, Tye used to play beer pong and drove me nuts. they are so loud and then so drunk and leave so much mess but those days are over. He is quite chuffed with himself that he is not drinking and so am i. He has had a couple of drinks with his mate but that is it, he does not drink alone anymore and as we know that is always a bad sign.

LC hope it goes well at the doctors, we can never have too many tools in giving up al. at the end of the day al will always wait for an opportunity to visit. Oh i had a lovely day with Mia yesterday, we were out for 5 hours shopping and i said to her that when i was drinking i would have made 2 hours maybe and that would have been me, that is if i actually went as i had a wealth of excuses to not go. I think i have finally reached the totally grateful aspect of being sober. I do things and then think of what i would have been doing 9 months ago and the two thoughts just dont gel to what i am now. I feel like a different person inside and out. I have finally accepted my sobriety.

Wags, i hope you decide what is best for you. This woman may have been nice the other day but will she continue being nice. Go with your gut feelings you cant go wrong there. We cant help disappointing others and we cant make everyone happy, only ourselves.

Dot i went out with a guy once that was vegan or close to. mind you he smoked weed like it was going out of fashion and drank red wine the same. Though he would never buy wine with fish product in it. ffs i didnt know wine had fish products in it. made beautiful food though and i ate plastic meat. In my timeline it is one year for you tomorrow and 9 months for me and Ginger 120 days. We have some such a long way. I still remember how sick you were when you started on your journey and now look at you.

Jvo when does the football finish? i remember the neverending games when the kids were little and while they were so much fun i dont miss the getting up early bits and the long drives to get to the grounds. This was always in winter so it was so hard being hungover and getting four kids ready an a hungover husband as well.

LB hope your holiday is going well, you totally deserve it lovely lady. You have been a total inspiration to me and i am so pleased life is cruising along for you now.

El i love your avatar too. my favourite flowers are sunflowers or daffodils, i wish i had someone to buy them fore me. Its coming into spring so i may just plant some this year. Plants and i dont really get on, they want water, i cant be bothered and then they die. Maybe not this time since i am sober.

Jane, im so glad the party went well. I forget that we all have different drinking ages around the world. At least the people here dont sue our arses off, we cant be bothered here, too much of an effort when it could be spent more productively drinking. Mmmmm. Were there any drunk kids?

Pav, hello lovely. 9 months up and running with for you soon. this month for me has been more settled and seems to be that way for you. lets hope the days leading up to 10 months is plain sailing also.

Well today i am off for a walk, have my supports for my shin splints, finally got my broken iphone fixed though they stuffed my button to go back to the main screen, blah. Getting nails done, doing all the washing that has built up during the week and washing the dogs.

I can finally see that this sober life is the one i want forever. Hugs to all xxxxx

Hi to those i may have missed.

        MAE all,

El - I keep forgetting to mention it, but I love your sunflower too - so beautiful!

        Ava, Ginger, DB
        - tomorrow is a big day all the way around - congrats in advance! We'll have to have a bigger-than-usual party with no Al of course :H

Hugs and hellos to everyone else. I hope you're all having a wonderful weekend, whether it's a regular 2-day one (most places) or a long 3-day one (here in the U.S.).

Ava, you sound crazy busy and it sounds good. Glad you are getting your nails done. Ya, beer pong, drives me nuts too. Beer everywhere and ping pong balls in the weirdest places!

Wags, it's a long weekend here too. Labour Day long weekend. I NEED it! Hope you keep having a great one.

Jane, glad your party went well. (I knew it would) Easy to say cause it wasn't at my house!

Dottie, good on ya with the vegan diet. I try to eat less meat but I am not vegan by any means.

            El, totally LOVE the sunflower.

                    Morning, Ladies!
Was up and at 'em at 6 this morning, more or less feeling like a million bucks. Today is day 3 of my sugar free challenge and I swear I feel better! I'm also happy to report that I haven't had al cravings for many days! I had a dream a couple of nights ago that a bottle of red wine was in the bathroom next to the cleaning products-- right next to the toilet brush-- it was very clearly poison!
I feel the tiniest touch of envy at your 1 year accomplishment tomorrow, Dottie. I am so happy for you and also for you, Ava, celebrating 9 months tomorrow! And Ginger celebrating 120 days! And Kuya and AllanK are both celebrating 2 years. I know we all make it in our own time and there's no point in having a lot of regret for what happened in the past. In this moment I feel a confidence in the journey, the day to day accomplishment of not drinking. I love the days when it's easy and am proud of the challenging days I make it through.

Jane, glad to hear the party went well. What did you decide in the end? Not too much beer and lots of other af drinks and snacks? Anyway, good on you for getting through it successfully!

Eloise, glad the healing is going well..it will continue and soon you will feel as good as new!

Wishing everyone a great Sunday and holiday Monday, if it applies to you!

Feeling that twinge of regret seems normal to me, LC. I remember when the 3 of you started together last year. Maybe you can visualize yourself a year from now greeting the first of September with more than a year AF behind you. I found/find that to be a really good technique to keep me on the path I want to take.

Wow, let the celebrations begin around here! So many people are doing so well - congratulations!

Af vacations are the best. Waking up feeling good looking forward to the day is the best feeling.
LC I had a very similar dream. I had rat poison under the sink at one time. I dreamed that I was looking for cleaning products under there drinking a beer when it turned into me actually eating that rat poison. I accepted that alcohol is poison after that.
Before joining MWO I just didn't know how bad alcohol actually is for us. Knowing what I do now, I just don't want to drink it even if I could.

                          Happy Sunday morning Gloamers!

Wow, so grateful for another weekend hungover free. Great sleep, feeling happy and peaceful. Can't beat it. Lots of 'stuff' to do today, but one thing at a time and it's raining cats and dogs here. Love a day like this once in a while.

LB, so glad you're enjoying the beach!

Nar, you're sounding good. I've got the headspace for 10 days but haven't tried it yet. I guess I'd better hurry before 10 days is up.

El, love your avatar. I'm glad you're healing and feeling better. I"m sure you're ready to start your classes. It feels so good to be back into routine.

LC, glad you're feeling great with no al cravings. Also glad to hear your sis is doing well. Second opinions are a must! I would never go into a surgery without hearing from two docs.

                          Hi Ginger!

Dot, how was the street party? We used to have block parties, but don't anymore.

                          Jane, glad you survived.

                          Hi SL!

Ava, DS doesn't play football. All of his friends play and we know lots of parents of his friends, so we just decided to go and watch them. DS plays baseball and it's fall ball baseball season until the end of October. Basketball will be the next big sport which begins in December. Glad you're enjoying your sobriety and lots of extra energy for shopping with your daughter.

                          Hi NS and Pav!

                          Have a great sober Sunday.
