    Morning Gloamers,
It's nice to naturally wake up earlier on the weekends. I was up at 7:15 and just lay in bed which is so nice to do, knowing I don't have to rush to get showered and ready for work, knowing that I didn't drink and I feel good, knowing that my day wont be ruined by a hangover.

Patrice, I hear you about the exercise. Don't push too hard though. Do it when you're ready. I'm very unmotivated as of late, and I'm not going to worry about it. I know that motivation will come in time as it usually does. I'm going to do things in slow motion for awhile.

LC, yeah, hanging that where everyone can see might not be a good idea.:happy2: I lay in bed this morning and my mind began to wonder again. About my past. I guess it's good we don't forget, as we wouldn't be able to move forward and learn from our mistakes.

Nar, I have had plantars fascitis and my chiro told me to roll my foot on a golf ball and also ice it as it's probably swelled and inflamed a bit. It's a common thing, especially at our age.

Sitting with my fireplace on and it feels nice. I'll check back later.
Sometimes what you're most afraid of doing is the very thing that will set you free.

J-vo - I think I'd describe myself as a total slob right now ( demotivated sounds better!)

Taken all the bags off and moved it into the lounge where I can see it, just going to start with 5 mins tomorrow.. Or do I mean 5 seconds? I know once I start it will be great.. And back to the chalk face tomorrow ... So ties in rather nicely
      Take care
      Xx

        Good Morning Gloamers:

Pepper - your post was spot on. I ziplined over the break with my kids, too, and I know that while I might have done it, it would have been a totally different and much less pleasant experience. I cringe when I look back at photos (we don't really take many videos) and know that I am drinking or hungover in most of them over the last several years. I have to remember that there were MANY times I was fine, or I'd wallow in my guilt.

J-Vo - I think remembering the negatives is very important, but I hope you also keep of a list of the positive changes that come from not drinking. That "attitude of gratitude" has honestly helped me get through many darker times.

LB - Hope things are ok with Mr. B.

Ava - There's got to be a FABULOUS guy out there for you, in all your fabulousness.

I agree with you all - I used to think "who doesn't drink, and how much fun could they be?" Thankfully my attitude has shifted, but I DO understand how and why others feel like that. I was at a party last night, and there was no way I was broaching the subject. Thankfully it was so big that no one noticed what I was drinking except one guy I don't know very well who was push wine on me for a toast.

OK - Off to enjoy my SOBER and UNHUNGOVER Sunday. I hope you are all doing the same.

        xo

Just want to pop in and say hi. Its bedtime over here already, didn't really have a restful day, lots of emotional 'stuff' going on at home.
None of it alcohol related. Well, just the stuff with my husbands sister. All out of our control so I don't let it touch me too much.

Anyhow, glad to see everyone is doing fine. Happy to see your post J-vo, all good I think. I am feeling pretty good too and committed to my new way of life.
Thank god I decided to finally quit. Honestly, I do not know where I would be otherwise?

Everyone is sounding pretty darn good. Let's try and keep it that way as far as our sobriety goes. Some of us will go through hard times this year and the rest of us will be here for support. We will help each other get through the hard stuff in life, we can do this together.

There is lots of love and support in this thread, this thread works.
This is OUR year to be sober!!
                  Let's do it together.

I like that Narilly. Somevwill have hard times, the rest will support during those times. I'm in.

Just feeling so good here - nothing special (as I posted on the Sunday shout outs) but just sober and enjoying it so much - a normal Sunday, getting things done, being productive and truly enjoying it - so thankful to be where I am.
My aim for 2015 is to be more aware - enjoy what I am enjoying and appreciating the feeling without over analyzing it - just taking it with gratitude - real change in mindset for me. So woke feeling happy and rode the feeling for the day. Do have "stuff" going on, but who doesn't, just determined not to let it pull me down, can't do anything about it on a Sunday, so will pop it away for the day, enjoy the day and will be in a much better place to deal with it tomorrow.

Those sound like great goals and things to aim for SL!

It's been a hectic four hours, but I'm so thankful for it! I worked with son on his research paper. Not a strong area for him and it was always a challenge for me as well, so we worked together on it, bickering back and forth, referring to the thesaurus because we'd used the same word five thousand times. Awww. Bliss.
