Ladies on a Mission: The Official Site

Good MAE, What??? 6 bottles of wine lasting 3 weeks? Not around me. I could do 6 bottles in 6 days, unless I had them all waiting at the house, in which case that would be 6 bottles in three days. Ouch.

Can't wait until we all join each other in the 100+ thread! Then we will really have to pull out our big girl panties. And Mr. G, your big boy boxers.

      Dearest Loamers,

I am sitting here with tears in my eyes, trying to figure out why I drank last night. I was feeling down, by myself, alcohol was in the house, and I drank it. I am extremely upset with myself, and don't feel I deserve anything good right now. I'm sorry I have let you all down, and let myself down. I have nothing to say except I am sorry.

Jvo, nonsense about not deserving anything good. Come on, have a few :l:l:l, cry for another five minutes, then get rid of the booze that's in the house, have a cup of tea or water or something, and then back into the saddle you go. It's happened, and I'm really sad that it did, but put it behind you, and watch out for those triggers next time. :l

The main thing right now is not to let last night be an excuse to drink tonight. It isn't. It was a mistake but tonight, you will be making a decision and you know that not drinking is the one you need to make.

As you know, I've been wrestling with forgiving myself for the more distant past - now you need to do the same for last night
. It's done and the only way it can serve a purpose is if is your springboard to living the AF life you want and deserve without these interruptions that hurt you so much.

You had a plan in place - tonight and tomorrow night and all the nights after that, you've got to use it. Use us.

We all care about you J-vo. Love, NS

                Hello Loamers

NS no i was about to throw the laptop across the room with trying to download pics and i found the drunken one of me. mmm absolutely beautiful i must say and i have a great one of what i look like first thing in the morning, just like those pics posted before not! I still look hungover in the mornings lol. Time to get my son onto it.

why was i awake, well my youngest had friends around and i asked him twice to keep the noise down and yep well that didnt work so today he gets a chat too. It was ok before as i was normally passed out and did not hear a thing but now i cant sleep unless it is quiet. At least i wont be yelling at him like a mad woman.

Humble, god i was buying $2.50 bottles that came in a box of 6 and if i had them i would drink them, god forbid they would go off. Like Dream said the average for ppl where she lives is 59 litres a month, pussies i say. We all could have done more than that i think.

My lovely Jvo FFS you farked up didnt you but hey you arent drinking daily, its not in your thoughts constantly but as we know it is always there al, patiently waiting for us. I can tell you all now that if i had of seen my SIL that i am positive i would have drank, not because she would have pressured me as she would not of but my al brain would have talked me into it.

We all love you here never forget that and it could have been any one of us realistically. You have been honest and as we say that is the most important part of giving up al. Please dont cry, you know we look a wreck when we do, as Humble says today is a great day to not drink. Big hugs from me to you always, you are a special part of this thread and stop beating yourself up.

Well today is blood test results day. Yup Yup Yup. I am pretty all over the place about this but i am not googling anything and trying not to get too anxious. Honesty is the best policy so they say and its time to be truthful with my dr if things are not right. I will let you all know in 6 hours how it went.

Have a great night everyone. i am appreciating the cool of today before the heatwave sets in next week.

                    .
Aren't you on Sunday?? Are your doctors open on Sunday???
Anyway, I hope you get good results but if you don't, remember that the body is amazingly resilient. Consider that we're all here after apparently consuming about 10x the recommended level of alcohol for years. There will be steps you can take to heal yourself.

Now, I'm not saying we couldn't do a little work on your diet
                    ...:H.

                      J-vo,

What about adding posting on the NN Roll Call to your plan? I found it to be a very powerful tool and used it for 100 days. Several Loamers are racking up Big Numbers there and it is so great to see them. I know that the thought of going back to day 1 on that thread helped me not make the bad choice. That is one place where wanting to "be perfect" can be used to an advantage -- We might as well capitalize on our weaknesses when we can!

I hope you are reading these posts to you and know how much we care about you and just want you to be well. You let us down only in that we know this is not what you want. Please don't think you need to apologize. You are still a lady on a mission - heck, it is because of your leadership that we are all here working together to get this done.

Please let us know that you're ready to get back on track - we need you with us.

NS yes it is Sunday here. Our doctors "super clinics" they are called are open 7 days a week and bulk bill so costs nothing to go. Having a fam visit with two of my children so that will be good for me. I am sure i will be fine and if not i will be crying on here after i have had a nap and after killing my son. Lets not go to the diet yet ha ha.

I agree with NS Jvo that the roll call is a good accountable place to post, great minds think alike as i was going to suggest that to you when i thought about it again. short term memory loss! I also post on the NN once a day at least and read posts, it seems to give me ideas also.

                          J-vo,

Please, please hang in there. This is a disease, or whatever the heck we are calling it, where this happens. "Alcohol is cunning, baffling and powerful." A slip is not a disaster as long as you don't prolong it, and we all know you won't! You are our fearless leader, so keep leading and bringing the light our way. Truly, it's ok. We are all here to share our struggles, and we ALL have them. If it were easy, there wouldn't be MWO, or WTF, or AA!

Also remember you are feeling particularly crappy because of the effects of the AL; once it's out of your system, you will feel better. You know that, I know, but I am telling myself as well as you!

                              J-Vo:

I think you should read through the last couple of days here as we have all been thinking and writing about forgiveness. That is where you need to start. You made a mistake, and that is too bad. You can acknowledge your sadness, anger, etc., and then move forward. The best way to do that is to forgive yourself and try to figure out what happened so you can avoid it in the future. After all you posting about perfection, I know you are beating yourself up over this.

You're a teacher, so you know that "failure" is the first step in learning. How can we learn anything if we don't try something very hard, stumble along the way, adjust our approach and start all over again.

You got this, J-vo. Start reading, posting, and moving forward! We're all here with you!
