LB, that was a tough decision, but I think a necessary and right move on your part. I really agree with Jane's post. It's just too easy for him to continue the life of addiction. And you shouldn't have to live under the same roof as someone going through that. You need to free yourself from that completely. I've watched many interventions, and they say you can't do anything for anyone going through this addiction. They have to do it themselves. They also have to take themselves out of that person's life, until they become clean. There's no other way. But you have to be extra careful as you don't want to put yourself in a situation where it will lead you back to drinking. You need to take care of yourself and make your sobriety a priority. Yes, you have three years, but even one with 10 years could fall, especially if they're around that environment 24/7. Strength will only give you so much in recovery. Distancing yourself from that type of life is so important. Hugs to you dear friend.

Gosh Jane you have been busy baking but J-Vo deserves it. Happy Birthday J-Vo!

Sat morning here - and I am off to the Farmers Market soon to buy lots of summer berries and fruit. Promised I would make home made ice-cream. Last night daughter made cinnamon bread - not too sweet but still quite cakey and it was delicious. More food expected this afternoon as we are off to a post-wedding party. Probably lots of booze as well at it but I dont see that as a problem as I am there to wish the couple the best. They are middle-aged so its not a huge celebration.

Watched more of the Sopranos last night - I am up to Season 3 so still lots to go. No hurry.

Keep us posted Lil B and I hope that your 15 minutes at a time have now morphed into 30 minutes at a time.

Mr GB has signed up to take Life Drawing classes! He only got back into his art last year - it was part of the plan to make him less grumpy. I think he thought the classes would be gorgeous young women but I gather the models are older people because we have more folds and wrinkles. Haha.

Have a great day/evening but if its not to be possible at the moment - just stay strong and make sure you take care of yourself,

PS - Hi there Pauly. Good to see you. I saw that you have been sober for some time now and I posted congrats to you and Bear on the Daily Abs thread a while back.
I dreamed about an old hairdresser last night - but it wasn't you! I had to find my old hairdresser a new one for herself. she is no longer in the business.

Jane, thanks for the celebration! Mr. Jvo, son, MIL and I went to a nice dinner out. Then a little cake when we got home. Just perfect. I hate to put the pressure on, but I'm ready for my new four month avatar! NO PRESSURE. You can just change 3 to 4 months on my current avatar.

TT, made me laugh about your husband's art.
