          Hi, Everyone:

WAY TO GO NAR! 150 big ones. Amazingly proud of you - and another gloamer win.

Jane, your life reads like an I Love Lucy episode sometimes. Sorry for chuckling, but you paint quite a picture.

          All about me portion:

I was wondering why a) I was so triggered with little patience at work and b) why I was feeling so funky. Lo and behold I had a dream last night that helped me see more clearly. Maybe you remember the yearly trip I take with friends - a fun drinking time, on a river, no kids, lots of laughs? I kept worrying about it, and to get over it I had to think "one day at a time?" I'm sure you all keep my issues filed away in your memories, for sure. Anyway - THAT trip is THIS weekend.

My dream was a stress and out of control dream (including giant waves and a big undertow at a beach - a dream I frequently have when I feel out of control). It went on to involve a weird series of events where I was offered and given alcohol, spilled on, etc., and I spent the whole time trying to avoid it. I realize that I am very nervous about this trip. These are good friends with whom I shared a lot of the gory details of my drinking once, but I am very concerned that my not drinking will make it awkward for everyone on this trip. I am also worried about the "no fun" aspect that plagued me earlier on, which means that all of a sudden I am forgetting all of my experiences of having fun without alcohol (many times with these same people). Very bizarre and unexpected.

I will go, I will have a thousand laughs, and I will hike and play in the water to my heart's content. I will eat good food, bring plenty of delicious non-alcoholic beverages, and talk to my husband before we go. I will bring my phone to try to check in here.

I'm leaving on Thursday, so I'll check in again tomorrow. Thanks for listening.

All you sound wonderful and strong. So happy to be here with you and that you are here when I need to reach out for help.

          xo

Nar and Scotlass, you are showing us how it's done.....Congratulations!
Pav, you will be grand....show them all what they're missing. When you are able to do more and laugh more and get up hangover free with a smile on your face you may find some of your mates may even envy you a little.
Day 4 and embracing it! I am sober, staying this way and loving it!
So nice to get a nights sleep, pray again, read my book again, be able to pick up my daughters when they need me to.....the relief and realization that I almost fecked up my sober life....that was scary!
I could go on....just so happy to be back!

Relapse starts long before the drink is drunk!!.Fresh Start!

Pav you will be okay and you will just take it day by day. You have all the tools in place and like we normally do we worry and stress beforehand and it all turns out okay. As daisy said you will have a ball and just check in here when you can to take a breath and a read. i found that helped immensely to keep me on track.

Im so happy that you are back daisy and sounding great but always be on guard with al.

                    Hi Ladies!

El, glad your art classes are going well : ) I love it when the kids are engaged and enjoy the work they do. You can sense the pride and that feels great. I have one class that has quite the imaginations. Made for a great and hilarious discussion yesterday.

LC, hope you make it through your guests and your co-workers get back to work!

Nar, 150 and keep fighting this. Hold onto those days because as I've heard, the best is yet to come. Have you been listening to the bubble hour? I know you're fond of that show. Any good topics lately? Keep warm, friend!

                    Hi G-man!

Daisy, I'm glad you're embracing your AF life. Yes, isn't it great when our kids can really count on us?

                    Hi Pie!

Rivergal, congrats on your 30! That's a huge accomplishment. Be proud of that.

Pav, I can understand your subconscious working on you. But I'm glad you're well aware of why you're experiencing those feelings, especially from last week. I think you have your ducks in a row for this upcoming weekend. Hope you can have a wonderful time and you come back and tell us all about it.

Jane, that pic was just perfect! Yes, find me one of those babies when I hit something big. For now, I'll just share your boy if that's ok. I watched the Robin Williams video. Cracked me up!

It's already hump day. Days fly by. Tomorrow, we're is red, white and blue day in honor of 9/11. I remember where I was when that happened. We were in class, and an announcement came on. Flipped the tv on. What a day that was...

                    Have a great night all.

You girls sound good. Jane, your poor teeth

We had a huge snowstorm here in the last couple of days and hundreds of trees had broken branches and actually fell over. The snow was so much and so heavy. It was terrible. Tomorrow the weather low is -7 and high is +7. Holy crap! The weather is never boring here!

                        Goodnight!
