Thanks NS. Just knowing this wondeful group of people is on my side and understands what i am going through makes all the difference in my life.
We are going to hold in house meetings again. Just the two of us. I have some new ideas. Any ideas from you would be appreciated. I thought a good refreshercourse in the basics from the toolbox to start the first couple of weeks.
And no Jane I am not considering moderation. Hubby thinks he can then by the time he realizes he can't it's too late. I'm staying in touch with j-vo. I am going to go back and read through the toolbox a bit this evening to get my lesson for tomorrow ready.

Glad you found us, Giraffe. How are you doing? Hope you've made it past the "Is this all there is?" doldrums. Things really do get better. At every tough stage of becoming a sober person, one of the main things we need to give ourselves is time - everything really does pass (a craving, sleeplessness, apathy, desire) - but it is so hard to relax and give that to ourselves. I guess that is to be expected given that we're a group who found a shortcut to what we perceived as bliss.

So, LB, it sounds like your class is back in session. You are a patient and committed teacher. I hope your husband realizes how much you love him. What topic are you starting with today?

Ava, why do you have 2 red bars in you profile? (Maybe that is a hotness meter!!!)

Thanx NS; yep, I think I'm through the doldrums for now.
LB, it's chilly here - just when I thought summer had arrived, we had a sudden cold spell with rain (and hail).
Also, no water supply to our area (and surrounding suburbs) for two days now owing to problems with the power supply to and from the reservoirs. We buy bottled for drinking, but showering/laundry/dishes/cleaning cannot be done at all. Quite a frustration. :eeks:
Hope you all had/have a great weekend.
                    xx

                        Hello everyone, hi Giraffe!
No water? That is really crappy for sure. It is beautiful weather here right now, it's like living in heaven , and I am sober so I can really enjoy it. How awesome is that?
LB, you are so strong, your hubby is one lucky man.

Well, off to enjoy my day.

Actually I should tell you girls last night I had a bunch of people over and we were sitting on the balcony with the heater on outside. it was beautiful night everybody was drinking wine and beer , I did not drink But I really wanted to. I was looking at the wine and I really wanted to have one glass. But then Thought if I have a glass it's going to be four then I'm going to be hung over tomorrow.
Anyway, I stuck to it and did not drink. Yes!
                          Another Victory!

                          NO hangover today.

Hi Loamers! I hope you can welcome me back. The fact is, I'm homesick. Really homesick. I need to be here posting with you Lovelies. I'm not getting any action at Soberistas. I thought the site looked great with all of the articles, videos, and lots more, but the truth is, I'm missing you girls. I want to come back if that's ok. I need daily support and need to give as well, and I can't do it by talking to myself. Thanks.
