    Hi Gloamers,

Haven't read back that far, but gleaned that Choices, you had a victory over temptation. It's great you were able to resist, when you'd been gifted some Al.

And J-Vo, congratulations on your 100 days!

Little Beagle, sorry you're having such a difficult time in your relationship. I'm not surprised that you're overwhelmed by it all. Keep on taking it a day at a time...

Friday night in Australia, and I now have three weeks' leave from work...Have been waiting for this for a long time! Going away with my partner to the beach for eleven days, then will catch up on all the little and big things on my To Do list!

    Travel well everyone,
    Steady

      Enjoy your time off, Steadfast!

LB, I'm really sorry to hear this. Please contact me to talk anytime. I'm here for you.

Steadfast, was it you that mentioned the frustration with technology? I thought, but then I didn't see it. Anyhow, I'm grateful for my young computer whizzes in my classes. I have a smart board, and when the computer disconnects for some reason, then the whole thing goes crazy. They always know what to do and how to work everything. I saw this cartoon on Facebook last week of a guy sitting across the desk from another guy, looks like he's being interviewed. He says:

I'm generally not for child labor, but sometimes they're the only ones that can fix my computer. SOOOO True.

Basketball game tonight. Have a good one.

Quick check-in as we are off on n overseas holiday today to a Pacific island for a week. There have been a lot of hassles organizing and paying for this but it should be a great break. Not sure what the internet access will be like but you all take care - esp you LB and J-Vo -as you are both facing huge family issues at the moment

Thanks my friends. As I said, I'm not going to overstress and get myself into a bind. So basically nothing is going to happen for awhile. It's just the realization that I am going to have to do this. Nothing changes as long as nothing changes. He won't or can't change anything so I'm going to have to.
Steady that sounds like a great vacation. Have a great time.
TT you too. A pacific island vacation. Wow. I'm envious.
Mardi Gras time here for us. Doggie parade tomorrow. Warm and sunny weather so looks like a great day.

Have a great time TT. Be safe!

LB, you know I'm thinking about you and you have my number...

I posted this in the nest.

After an emotional night of basketball, we went out with people to a restaurant to celebrate. It was the first time I'd gone out afterwards, as I was always too tentative with my situation. But I wasn't last night. This was a special game, as the rival team just lost a student in a car accident, and our students supported them, by wearing their school colors and donating all profits from raffles to this family's fund. It was heartwarming, bittersweet, and just made me want to celebrate life. So at the restaurant, it didn't bother me to see others drinking. No, what I did feel good about was the fellowship, community coming together, and just the fun small talk. It was special. It was about the people. Not about booze.

                Have a great day all.

                  Hi J-Vo,

Yes, I think I'm kind of in the middle when it comes to technology - young enough (52 years old) to be able to use a computer, but old enough to find the constant changes & updates frustrating, and to long for simpler times!

It's Sunday morning, and my list of to do's is pretty darn long, as I didn't do a thing yesterday. Letting my body rest yesterday was much needed. Still don't wanna get my butt moving, but no choice!

Have a great Sunday morning all.

Hi everyone, just checking in as I haven't for a few days.. I'm good AF just busy. A good busy. My daughter and I went camping with my friend and her daughter (same age). It was amazing. I'm hoping to do a lot more camping. Just loved how basic it was and the girls loved it. They are both 3 so their favourite part was washing the dishes. With my help.. Um.. Well, me actually doing it. But it was nice.
