Morning all whizzing in - finished work late so avoided doing phone call, first day on 5:2 diet as well. Tonight is the day - gonna call at 8pm,make a few notes about what I want to say and just do it. Knee feels little better - got physio appt at 7.30pm tonight - paying for it but gotta be done.

Been worrying about work so done thought diary/reframing - gotta keep keeping on with this so newer more positive automatic thoughts become more natural.

Glad am sober today, supervising cat feeding today - 2 need to lose weight,1 needs to put it on - 2 different types of food.taking food away when we out and putting back when we home and supervising again.

Best get in shower - was tv feature about dry bar opening in UK, slowly slowly we're getting there.

mae all ...and how are we this fine day?ok I hope..fortunately the flooding hasnt hit me ..like I say I live pretty high up in the Penine Hills ..so if it does flood then those down below are in the mire ..just the winds ..they are so destructive,Seems to me that the whole worlds weather has gone a bit pearshaped.So what are we doing today?Firstly Im off swimming and then ..whatever happens ..probably do my fave pastime today..go for a bimble round the charity shops ..all those unwanted Chrissy presents gone west!!!

Morning all
nice chilly event here, about 6 F. Not as cold as some posting here. Dang wind is what makes it hard. About to go out and feed and see how all survived. I checked out my calf several times yesterday evening. Momma is so attentive. She was nursing along, so I'll see here soon.

Mick, haven't done much 'veying outside but working it on the deed end. Time will tell this spring if I'm still surveying. I can't afford another year like last year. Yet all things look so much different being sober, I got to say. Looking at realities is simplified. One less "distraction".

Got the wood stove cranking, off to the salt mines!

Good morning Abbers,

Moving like a mostly frozen slug around here :H
It's 1 F, have no idea what the wind chill is, does it even matter??
As soon as I finish praying for my hens I'll go out & check on them. I stapled up a throw rug over their little hatch door last night to stop the wind from getting in there

Glad your baby is doing OK Sam
I worry about all our animals in this weather.

Mick, today is going to be pretty much a repeat of yesterday. Business keeps me out of trouble

I noticed several people talking about electric blankets yesterday.
I don't have one, won't use one either. The reports that came out years ago about them being probable carcinogens convinced me. Electromagnetic fields produced by those blankets as well as all the rest of the electronics in your bedroom may be causing cancer, especially leukemia. My Mom had leukemia so I will not tempt fate

On a brighter note - I wish everyone a fabulous AF Tuesday!

Hi - even pellet stoves are banned
I love electric blankets - I had one in the UK - most here are over the top of the beds rather than under you. I have had them for the girls beds in the past..loved getting into that warm beddie
Mick - happy to take rain dontions!!
Dreamt last night that I had wine in the house and was posting happily that I was NOT drinking it - so was cured!! I have no inention of having wine in the house, but just happy that my thoughts around drinking seem to be taking a turn...
Back to my conf cal - multi tasking, but not really apying attention so need to get back to business.

hey Mick - didn't know you were a northern soul fan - it's big again here - lots of dos all through UK.I love it and it's a great happy night but not the best dancer, it's dark - who cares!

just rang friend for much dreaded phonecall, didn't leave message as not sure voicemail works, may have to leave text explaining what it was about and leave it there.Not much else can do really as she 200 miles away!Feel better for trying and planning (loosely) what I wanted to say.

Have a great evening all - off to physio now to see what damage is this time to knee - surprised I have any ligaments left!!

Wow, everyone seems to be as cold as me for once!
We are at a balmy -3C right now so I am not complaining. Actually had to take off my scarf while walking!
Lav, Sam, it is hard taking care of animals in the cold especially if you are not set up for it. Good luck with that.
Mick, sounds really windy in your part of the world. Crazy weather.
Bear, hope you resolve this friend issue. What a pain in the arse!

Mae all,i cant believe those temps,unbelievable! was wstching the news and seeing all the snow and ice and i complain about 60 degrees(sorry)aah electric blankets,when i was 12 my dad picked one up at a thrift shop,i used it that nite it was lovely,til it started smoking then caught fire! so dont buy second hand electric blankets,hope everyone has/is having a good tuesday

Gave her a shot of penacillin (sp?), the inside of her mouth is finally warm, she slept for about 2 hours, just tried to get up, can't wait for mother nature to let loose in the house.
