Hi all - wet and windy here, wild drive home from work - yes still on call Mick...till monday morning!

Det - so sorry - I hope you can get this sorted, you obviously want to but there is something that stops in your way - get rid of the block and you will be on the right track.

Old Ladies and Mick thread Lav?? Where does that leave Sam and Det???:H
TT - I got all Maudlin on my youngests birthday too - it left me feeling sad and anxious for the future...
Well off to sort out supper - one girl pretty sick, her sister is getting over it - hope I don't catch it, no time to be sick..

Det - lots of shitty adjectives flying around there. Yes, please do get some professional help - I know you have before but as you are very aware this is serious. Also go back to taking baby steps -nurture yourself, try to get as much rest as is possible in your job, try to heal the inner pain (or live with it) and also your physical self. You are worth it very very much. Exhaustion and physical illness really throws us off.
      Take care my friend.

SL - see even if you have a loving partner (as I do) who is also my girl's Dad - and even if you are AF like I am - it doesn't stop you from being anxious and sad about being a Mum. I don't think we should repress this either or trot out the too manysmiley faces - but I try to be aware of not being too gloomy. Fortunately I have a sense of humour (OK its crap:H) - as does my partner and daughter - thats a great relief.
Sadness can mean we are also able to be empathetic, compassionate and aware of our fragility as humans (with a good dose of toughness and Lavanitude when necessary!).

That's thoughtful toughness TT. A self-preservation technique I developed as a kid. I never attack but I do defend myself & others when they need a boost

Det-you know the drill. Don't let your highs get too high or your lows too low. Us aklies have tough time living life in the middle ground.

Lav-yes, you are immune to advertising They stop targeting people over 50 for the very reasons you mentioned.

Mick-saddly those ads you mentioned are not for you. They are actually targeted so that the children will have a chat with Mom and Dad I am not sure how that talk actually goes down..."Mom, Mr. Big Star doesn't want you to leave me with big fat mess and a ton of bills".

We all joke that after you cross 35.....you are now in the "older demographic"...ready to make your last final purchases before you die
