You must be zooming into spring now, so I hope you're gardening nuit works out fandabidozi for you dear chum.....if your potatoes are ready to harvest, you can try the Lushlets recipe....only you must find a tiny parentless street dweller first for some reason....
I'll never understand our American cousins and their bonkers lingo!!!

The dear boy that I look after has to go and have an operation tomorrow to remove a load of metalware from his right leg and hip after a complicated operation 18 months ago...so the melon will be on day and night duty with her poor little cerebral palsy soldier for the next week or two...His Mutti is understandably very worried as he reacts quite badly to anaesthetic....so our finger nails will be worn to nubbins for the next couple of days until he has the all clear breathing wise...He is the most darling young man, and even though he is not my flesh and blood, is still 'my boy' in my melonheart....it just sucks that these sorts of procedures are a regular part of his life, when he already has so much to go through with his disability alone......I will kiss his dear face from all of you as I am sure you would be sending tons of licky love.....and he does so love a big pile of snogs and cuddles!!

See everyone when the coast is clear, and the nursing eases up a bit so that his part time carers can cover for any extra shifts....

I'm pretty busy here, too. Not so much with gardening, like old Popeye and Melon. More so with development of some other kind! Just reviewing a project on family planning ... ohhhhhhhhhhhhh. That'll make any American President's heart rejoice (and of course the Pope in Rome's, grin ..). Loads of condoms and the like mentioned, grin ... Anyway, it's for the good of the Vietnamese population, particularly poor women and men of reproducive age in remote areas. So stuff the other lot, George and the other chap, that is, grin .. they don't even know how to spell sex.

Anyway, enough ranting and carrying on. Mood is great. Hope the rest of my fellow Absvillers are doing fine, too?

I am back on Day 3 consecutive. Gotta go to work now and I swear I did not sleep even a little bit last night arrghh!! Even after I took 6 mg of melatonin. So, it is a 14-15 hour day today - hope I do not fall asleep at my desk. I will need double coffee today LOL

Melon- I too want to wish you and your charge the best. I have a feeling he is pretty tough. And I bet you are incredible at your job - he is lucky to have you.
Popeye- you have been doing so well..can I ask what day af you are on? Just curious. It's like you passed some barrier and have just kept going. Very happy for you.
Paddy - a friend of a friend is going to Vietnam soon. She will be working with primates for I believe a year as she finishes her PhD. Anyway...what would be a good gift to send her on her trip? Anything you miss in particular that would be nice to have? Thought you might have a couple ideas.
Well, I have decided to rededicate myself to working out. I have been slacking off and I can feel the difference...just not feeling great. But when I feel down I remember how far I've come and count up my af days (207 today ).
This morning I thought about my birthday coming up in June and thought ..so what will I do with myself for my 44th year? I joined MWO almost a year ago and it has had such a positive impact on me. 43 has been pretty good on the whole. It has been a struggle though. Now I'm ready to start reaping the rewards. I need to get re energized and start making plans for a fabulous 44.

on the road again here for a couple nights on work. At least my wireless internet card works this time. it was so neat to be flying down the highway with Dx driving while I chatted here with some folks. I don't think they believed me!

Hey all -- Wishing you the boy all the best Melon, desert sparkles being sent your way.
Popeye my garden is doing pretty well. I have to start around March so things grow before the heat destroys evverything at the end of June so I've got quite a crop going. Mostly summer squash, sunflowers, jalepenos, green chilies, tomatillos, three different kinds of tomatoes and some strawberries, Oh and a Japanese eggplant -- great on the grill.

I'm fine here, just movin along --- Det --your wireless internet card is so unbelievable, I never knew how that stuff worked. how cool!
