The latest try-on by the defence in the Oscar Pistorius trial is that he suffers from "general anxiety disorder".
In general, he is anxious about spending the rest of his life behind bars.

I went to the Paradox Foundation today.

There was a sign on the door that read: 'Sorry we're closed, please come in.'

I just melted an ice cube by staring at it.

Took a bit longer than I thought it would, though.

A woman's husband had been slipping in and out of a coma for several months, yet she had stayed by his bedside every single day. One day, while conscious, he motioned for her to come nearer.

As she sat by him, he whispered, eyes filling with tears.
"You know what? You have been with me all through the bad times: When i got fired, you comforted me. When my business failed, you supported us both. When I got shot, you nursed me back to health. When we lost the house, you endured living in a shabby rented flat.

Now my health has started failing and you are still right by my side... You know what?"

"What dear?" She gently asked, smiling as her heart began to fill with warmth.

"I think you're bad luck, why don't you just f.ck off."

My Son came to me today and asked, "Dad, how do you know when you're in love?"

"I've got no idea." I replied, "Go and ask your Mother."

I don't need to learn to manage my anger issues, I need everyone else to learn not to piss me off.

Breaking News: A fugitive cannibal has been spotted outside a restaurant trying to eat Al Fresco.

I was in a band called 'been there, done that', you've probably got one of our T shirts.

Mick as much as I like vegemite I can't stand it as a drink and as for bovril it used to contain beef (not sure if it still does) that's no go for me.

      Good morning Abbers,

And it's the 15th day of the month on this side of the planet Mick - just sayin :H :H

I did have a busy day yesterday, work, garden, no kids!
The plan today is to repeat that with a lunch out with old friends tossed in too

Det, I planted two huge bulbs of elephant garlic yesterday along with I don't know how many onions. I should be in good shape if all that grows!!! I should have enough garlic power to ward off any mammoth or yak attacks :H

SL, mood swings are just mood swings & a part of life. Just don't stay stuck on the dark side. We have complete control over our thoughts & feelings so move towards the light. The full moon we've had recently is likely affecting you, it bothered me as well

Greetings TT, PQ, Sam & everyone!

OK everyone, let's make it a great AF Thursday!

        Morning all!!
so looks like the monsoon season is upon here in the east side of the us Of a. Going to Penn Quarter market today, will probably be a washout, hope not.

SL, hope you're feeling more spunky today!

Mick, the only thing I'm going to do with Gary Barlow is tax related!!

Lav, I found a monster rat hole in the chicken yard, think it is time for the garden hose and shotgun routine.

morning there TT, you back at home nestled in yet? Hope you doing well.

Det, PQ, Bkyoga, everyone, have a wonderful AFreer.

            Howdy Doody ABerooos!

a very warm 90F today here in the high desert.

SL, I'm also quite introverted by nature, so having my fencing class is a way of prying myself out of the dungeon. socializing with my clients isn't very rewarding to me (small IQ's and huge egos).

Mick, thanks again for the funnies. being home alone is different than being in a hotel alone. everything here makes me think of being with DX and it's easy to get lonely if I'm not careful. I'm being careful! love the bits on history. I've been having fun listening to podcasts about ancient European history lately. A lot of scholastic history on Britain begins with the advancement of the Roman Empire but there was a very well established and sophisticated culture there for a LONG time preceding the Romans.

            Pauly....where for art thou?

you guys be careful blasting rodents and slugs with shotguns ok?

Lav, elephant garlic...how fun! if you see a large bipedal rodent in your yard it might be me

in an effort to keep myself busy and healthy I've scheduled an extra fencing class for this afternoon. Italian rapier. cool stuff.

I'm really enjoying going to restaurants where in the past I've blown it and drank. I go back in and have a nice mineral water and work on reprogramming my brain in a healthy direction. of course if I'm feeling at all HALT it's certainly not worth the risk.

            be well everyone

Hanging in - OMG it is hot thou - 100 today, and then back to 70's next week!
Det, up in Reno this weekend - for work of course...will look out for you:H
Lav - full moon, did not even think of that.
I am ok, just need to turn inwards from time to time. Get a little low, have to process.
I am reading most days, and that helps with maintaining my goals.

No rain here yet Sam ~ it's arriving tomorrow. Just warm & humid today!
I remember YB sitting on a lawn chair with a shot gun across his lap (or maybe it was a .22) when we first started with the chickens. They haven't had the nerve to come back

Det, I hope my garlic crop makes you proud
                Becare with those sharp objects!!!

SL, I absolutely, without a doubt have trouble sleeping just before & just after teh full moon. Here's a little ditty on how the full moon messes us up:

                  MAE ALL...

Mick...thanks for the history lesson. Yup dinner was delicious. I enjoyed reading about Robert the Bruce and the spider.

Lav...it's the 15th day of the month here as well. :H Woke up to rain and it's been off and on all day. Starting to come down a bit more steady so heading into 4 days of rain of course because it's the long weekend.

                  Sam...hope Penn Quarter wasn't a wash out.

Birdie...you should see the picture in my mind when you said that. :H

Det...glad you're being careful. Maybe Mick could use some fencing techniques to get rid of the slugs. Oh no, another picture in my mind. :H

SL...glad you're ok. Yup we all have our own way of processing.

Off to have left overs...be safe all.....PPQP
