Been a great day. Workshop went really well. Sitting in another airport waiting for a flight. Have had too many carbohydrates today so back into healthy regime tomorrow. Someone said to me today that I look younger each time she sees me so I put that down to giving up the booze.
Currently surrounded by folk sipping wine as I am in an airport lounge. I am having a diet Sprite. Not the greatest but sure beats the AL.

So there i was on the bus, smoking a spliff and drinking some beer, and i was getting abuse hurled at me from the other passengers. In the end i lost it, so i got up, threw my beer at the windscreen, finished my spliff, and at the next stop got off, whilst telling everyone to go fuck themselves and that they were just as bad as me. For good measure i hurled a couple of bricks through some of the windows before staggering off home.

The next morning i made it into work when my boss summoned me into his office.

"Dave, last night where you on bus number 72?"

      "Err... yes i was"

"And were you smoking cannabis AND drinking at the time?"

      "...yes i was"

"And did you leave the bus, giving passengers a torrent of foul mouthed abuse?"

      "Yes boss i did"

"And before walking away, did you throw some bricks into the windows, causing injury to passengers?"

      "Yes i did"

"I'm sorry Dave, but we got a reputation to uphold and i can't have employees acting out like this. Pack your things Dave, you are hereby fired"

It was fine by me, i didn't like being a bus driver anyway.

"Your dog has been barking for the last 3 f.cking hours!" I said to my neighbour this morning, "I've got a serious hangover and I'm trying to get some sleep!"

My wife just caught me smoking a spliff, "Drugs kill." she said as she snatched it out of my hand.

"So do husbands." I replied as I snatched back.

My boss told me to put up a road sign immediately to warn people of the work ahead. An hour later he asked why it hadn't been done.

I replied, "I couldn't find any with a picture of a dozen managers in brand new high-visibility coats watching one bloke work."

        Good morning Abbers,

Enjoying some quiet time before the girls wake up & get the party started again
My granddaughter was up until nearly 10 last night!!!! I wish I had that kind of energy :H

Had lots of rain overnight so the gardens should be happy. I have to take one of the dogs to the vet today for a regular checkup - always lots of fun.
My Curves club is involved every year with the American Cancer Society Relay for Life. Saturday they are having a yard sale & bake sale. Proceeds are donated to a good cause & I promised to bake a bunch of stuff. Guess that will take up most of my afternoon.

TT, you are still moving around? You have been one busy lady & look younger everyday
Greetings to PQ, Sam, Det, SF, SL & everyone dropping by today.
Have a wonderful AF Thursday one & all!

          Morning all!!
Well the wife's getting all worked up about what to wear at this wedding we're going to... semi formal, whatever that means. I have my standard wear for every occasion outfit. Our walk in closet is 95% her clothes and 5% mine. Kinda of funny to me. (There's a joke in there somewhere, Mick) Wished they made dress bib overalls. Actually, I've lost about 25 pounds not drinking so I might have to go to the local thrift store and find some pants that don't fall off!
That has really been one of the perks of no drink: health is better.
hope everyone enjoys their day to its fullest.

                MAE ALL....

TT...man you gotta be getting sick and tired of flying. Home tonight though. Yup definitely another perk of quitting drinking, we get younger. :H

Mick...thanks for the brew. Been really busy at work, the Board of Education has decided to build a special needs school in our district without informing anyone. I've never heard from so many residents.

Lav...hope you had fun at the checkup. We've been getting hot temps during the day and rain/thunder/lightening at night. Welcome to June.

Sam...Nope, I searched the internet but couldn't find a dress bib overall for you. Lots for the wife though, can you make some more room in the closet?

Pauly...good for you taking the day off. You're sounding good.

SL...gotta say I'm glad I'm not dealing with summer holidays anymore.

Weather has turned cooler for the next couple of days. As a matter of fact....

May have to throw a log on the fire tonight. Have a peaceful evening all......PPQP

                  You sound perky PPQP.

I'm beginning to mourn the end of school years and my daughter being dependent on me. We still have 18 months to go but she is indicating that she will want to fly the nest. My big worry is that she is thinking about ditching university and for me that is not an option. She is very bright and a good student and until last week was all gung-ho about university. Some stupid careers event has put other ideas into her head ie discouraging her from university. I am tempted to complain to the school as I think a sound education must come first - plenty of time to play at other things later in life.

                  It's really getting me down!

                      Your right PPQP.
I am feeling weary all of a sudden and sad about how little time we get to spend with our kids. I can intellectualise it all and I sure have a busy life but the attachment with my daughter is eating away at me. I saw my own mum and my sister grieve their kids leaving the nest so maybe I have learned overly dependent habits.
I know it's not 'healthy'. maybe I need some Shrinking:H

And of course I can't hide my feelings in my old dependent buddy AL anymore. Surprisingly my partner G. Is showing some empathy about this with me. He is close to our girl and we sometimes forget that Dads grieve when their children grow up too.

Gotta say TT....that is surprising. :H Maybe it's because you're not hiding your feelings in your old "buddy"..... Sounds like everyone is going through some changes and that's a good thing, especially since you're doing it AF :h

I really can't believe it is Thursday already! They had me in this training all week. Yes, I think investing in training me makes a lot sense. I got a few nuggets out of the training, but it really reconfirmed my decision to break free of the company. Now I am just waiting things out. Gosh even that is exhausting. I had to go into a meeting with one of my bosses and listen to him go on and on about how much I suck. Actually, I have sucked for the entire time at the company according to him....sure was nice of them to keep me employed all this time.

I'll be glad when this part is over. I want to start my new life.
