    SATURDAY AF 28 JUNE

    MAE folks! Made a mistake in the header of the post today. Just a month behind

    This podcast of an interview played on National Radio this morning Saturday should be of interest and might stimulate some discussion. Its of a Kiwi who quit much in the same way many have here on MWO. Apparently she has her own blog and book -which I have not looked at yet

    Good morning TT & all Abbers

    Getting oh so close to the end of June - time does fly
    I have to run out now to take care of a few things - will listen to the podcast a bit later TT.

    The weather looks decent for the weekend so I guess I'll play outside as much as possible. Nothing big on the plan book anyway.

      Mae everybody,supposed to be getting HOT this week,last two 4th of July's or Micks anni as we know it were relatively cool,not more than 90 but this year is another story,tis all good i'll be watching my hot dog eating contest on espn and cooking indoors anyways,Louie was being such a whiner yesterday! not bratty,just in one of those moods where he doesn't know what he wants,Kell is doing kind of like an audition in a very upscale salon today,would be excited but the owner is weird,reviews on yelp were horrible for his behavior,oh well she's got nothing to lose,see what happens,i have to watch Louie right when i get off work,hope he's nice today,have a good Saturday peeps

      Drinkin won't help a damn thing! Will only make me sick for DAYS and that ugly, spacey dumb feeling-no thanks!

        success...eventually managed to get on here!was trying for ages this morning and it wouldnt let me in ..kept coming up with data error etc...so how are we all then today?all doing ok I hope..been a nothing day for me today ..went for run..enjoyed itwhats that all about..was at a leaving do till 2am ..nice to see the old faces again...all saying how the job has changed blah blah..and theres me worrying about things like when are my tomatoes going to ripen etc :H Amy currently at home ..so the food levels are going down!!hope all have a great weekend keep smilin ..stay sober!!!
        af since the fourth of July 2012...howzat then America..now proudly marching into year 12

          Hi folks it actually Sunday morning but I thought I should say hi again as I promised.
          the MWO site was crappy yesterday as Mick said - is this the next phase after the Spammers? Hope not. I checked out the blog that is mentioned in the podcast - but its not so great. Its OK but its more about one woman's journey - and the blog responses are often quite rubbishy. And on reflection her story, (this is Mrs D) while it resonates with some of us - it does not speak for many of the people on MWO. Still, anything that helps in the battle with booze has to be good and at least this is from NZ. My big caution is that when one person comes out like this so publicly - that many others (esp non-drinkers) say - well look its not so hard afar all. thats not her intent but its how the media can run with things.

          How did Kell go Pauly?

          Well we had one of those mini-milestones yesterday. My daughter's first high school ball (they call them formals here). Its a big deal - the dress, the hair, shoes, make-up etc -but its been one of the things her and i have been working on the past few weeks. She was as nervous as hell but she looked really gorgeous and in a sweet, not too over-the-top way. She also had a great time and came home at a decent hour. Could have stayed out but she didn't want to.

              Evening all!!
              long and very productive market day, but I'm seriously tired.

              I tried to get on MWO early this am, could not. So I'm getting the sense that other folks are having trouble getting on here as well.

                Hi all,
                Finally rain here in Malaysia..yay!! I'm hoping it will last all day.. It's supposed to be the monsoon here but until today not a drop.. And not a drop for moi either!
                TT I read Mrs D's blog and liked it but then I heard on interview with her on the Bubblehour and I wasn't too enchanted by her to be honest....

                  Quick check in - warming up here - 104 by monday.
                  Managed a 5 mile walk today, and the groceries I forgot yesterday - today forgot to fill the BBQ tank, so off out again.
                  Tomorrow, my day out and so looking forward to it
