    happy 4th July

Happy 4th America...and now off to the airport ..to those that commented ..on the post that byrdie did thank you very much

A Brixton vicar is offering a reward of ?10,000 cash to help stop gun violence.

Brilliant. Now people with guns just found out about a vicar who has ?10k in cash.

Psychologists who have examined Oscar Pistorius say that he is at risk of suicide.

Especially if he confuses himself with a burglar.

Katie Price and Kerry Katona have both got books coming out this month...

which could plunge the U.K. into a huge crayon shortage.

I was told that exercise helps with your decision making.

    It's true.

After going to the gym earlier I've decided I'm never going again.

My boss walked in on me painting my nails today.

He yelled, "Just hammer them into that staircase like I f.cking told you!"

I came home today to find a naked man hiding under my wife's and my bed.

So I took my clothes off and hid under the stairs. I love games.

Girls are at local baseball game, with holiday fireworks, with their dad - was one of our traditions. I can hear the fireworks - bittersweet.....just needed to share with someone....:upset:

Am ok Satz - just a little self pity - will not fail on Micks anni, that would be something I could never live down I am separated, have been for a while - I am lucky enough that my two daughters live with me, and see their father rarely - I am just spoilt. So they are out, and that used to be a reason for me to "make merry" but I will not and am sticking close to MWO. Just heard the fireworks and felt vulnerable - needed to share, so came here - my home away from home
Thanks for checking on me - girls will be back in my nest soon and all will be back to normal

A long bath, candles, big fluffy robe, a movie an a large box of chocolates should do it ?

                          happy 4th July

Not sure who is on the thread at the moment - its evening here now. I couldn't even start it as promised :upset: because Mr Piggy was eating bacon rolls at the airport. I hope those airline people catered to us vegetarians as well!
SL - just let the bittersweet feelings be what they are - bittersweet. Don't complicate things by drinking though. Tomorrow also another day. I liked Mollyka's advice about the pampering. :good job:

Such a great feeling to know that one of our own has made it to the two year mark - it inspires the rest of us so much.
But not hanging around at the airport:H - that is one of the most un-inspirational things a human can do these days. Maybe the cynics are right - its a mega - plot to stop the prols from traveling by plane!

School holidays here in NZ for 2 weeks - but not for me. In fact my work will be really intense during the next few weeks but its good to see my daughter having a well deserved break.

                          Catch you all later on

                              happy 4th July

hey all - I'm on day 5 and back on the AF bus.
Mick - huge congrats on 2 years, you are an inspiration.
I'm focusing on one day at a time, avoiding high risk situations and focusing on eating well, resting and exercising to relax me.

I've had a bit of a time of it recently, two of my lovely very much loved cats died within the space of 6 weeks - one really suddenly and one had been ill for a while. I'm extremely lucky to have the beautiful sweet natured stray we adopted, and my lovely OH.

I'm also having a rough ride at work, new member of staff we're looking at not appointing due to attitude and old one who I have just started capability process with. Boss is very supportive but based hundreds of miles away and I am getting a mentor and HR are supportive,I'm also using the employee assistance line to get support when I need to offload. Lucky to work in a supportive place.
I can handle it and need to develop more confidence in myself,it's just rough.

Day 7 of a week off so three days left including today and that has done me the world of good.
Sorted a few things out round the house, many more to do but I am doing it step by step so that I don't get overwhelmed.Today is waiting for new shoes to be delivered, off to the gym and a couple of errands. Off to pub for a couple of mineral waters later - no temptation to drink, low risk for me it's almost like a coffee bar and I have my early start tomorrow so booze is just not happening.
                              Day by day.

                              Happy AF 4 July everyone.
                              one day at a time
