30 day to 100 day maintenance thread.

For something a little more value added/ less foggy than my past post, I saw someone wrote this article today...I've been on this ship before. I think it is very common, and its still a challenge from time to time

      Hi y'all,

SLT, you bet!....especially if you/anyone is in a fog, funk, feeling flat, strange, elated, fantastic. All feelings and experiences wanted! lol.

Thanks for the above article on booze and depression. It's a spot on observation from my experience. Big booze self medicator here for depression in the past, and for me, the feeling's good for a very short time, but then the ferryperson would come to collect the toll which was brutal and even more depressing than the feeling i was trying to escape! What a big PITA.

At 57 days sober today, i feel great and the fog is just starting to lift on what my future holds and my possibilities are. I am beginning to actually understand that there really are no limits to what i can do.

      Hi Daisy 38 and Oko!

      Take care out there. G

Yo y'all, hope all is well.

This might be stating the obvious, but I note that my drinking is tied to feelings of self worth. These days, i'm happy and getting prouder of me and all of my possibilities. I note that it's important for me to spend a little time each morning making sure my head is right and i'm feeling good about myself and not allowing negativity or illusions of poor self worth creep in. If i allow myself to become overwhelmed with anything, be it daily tasks, bills, co....com....comm.....commitments, i can get into a worried state of mind, and from that i can decend into an ah 'F it' headspace. Not necessary, and i can head it off at the pass when i'm on top of my game, mindful and self aware. The morning self check on where my head is at is becoming an important tool in the maintenance of my sobriety.

Have a bewdy out there. G
