Mae all..how are we today?as we speak I can see the wee green light on that Lav is on line so if you are...then a big hiya and a real early mornin brew to you..its 4.55am...managed to get a good sleep last night..was in bed at 9!!
so things didnt go well in the elections tt?only trouble is with the large number not voting it doesnt truly reflect on the views of the population! I used to do archery for fun..trouble was I xouldnt hit a barn door with a shovel..

Guess I was up too late last night Mick because I got up an hour later than usual this morning!
Sometimes it's a bit hard to wind down after having family visit but I wouldn't have it any other way Hope your day is productive!

I hope you find whatever your daughter needs to help her blossom. Finding the educational counselor for my son was such a blessing, I am still grateful. It turned out to be the best money I ever spent - honestly!

TT, you asked about government subsidies? No such thing here I'm afraid. Sorry your elections did not turn out the way you hoped. I have always voted & always will but it's usually just a waste of time. This country is owned by the fat cats with all the $$ in their pockets So much for the democracy, huh? We were introduced to archery in high school gym class - fun

I will be watching my busy grandsons all afternoon on this last day of summer

Thanks for the congrats - feeling good and think my BGP's are on! (they make me feel too old though - my nublie teens make jokes about BGP's!!!)
I am hoping for my daughter too Lav, I have been looking around and not finding anything similar - I think I will get through this testing phase and hopefully the psychiatrist will be able to point me somewhere. I wish we had lots of time to deal, but with all the school cutbacks, and only being there half of a year, I feel that time is marching on.

Sam - hope you are ok, and maybe able to find things that wake your sunnyside up?

Happy colour PPQ - what will the changes at work mean for you? Hopefully not more work? But maybe more satisfaction? Enjoy today relaxing, and sending good thoughts and P's your way (thanks for pointing it out - found the colour too!! and other font options!)

Saw last nights reply TT - I have gone to the school a few times for help, but was banging my head on a wall - I am hearing that the school should have been doing some of this - there are different avenues that I could have taken, I am not sure that I would have done much differently - it does feel expensive, but not really if it will work out a future for her. Hopefully insurance will pay some of it - but if not, hopefully it is an investment in her future.
Sorry about your elections - not many people seem to vote any more, and elections are strange affairs to say the least - popularity contests rather that much more, with promises of false hope...

A young man asked an old rich man how he made his money.

The old guy fingered his worsted wool vest and said, "Well, son, it was 1932. The depth of the Great Depression. I was down to my last nickel."

"I invested that nickel in an apple. I spent the entire day polishing the apple and, at the end of the day, I sold the apple for ten cents."

"The next morning, I invested those ten cents in two apples. I spent the entire day polishing them and sold them at 5:00 pm for 20 cents. I continued this system for a month, by the end of which I'd accumulated a fortune of $1.37."

"Then my wife's father died and left us two million dollars."
A psychiatrist congratulated his patient on making such good progress.
"You call this progress?" snapped the patient. "Six months ago, I was Abraham Lincoln. Now I'm nobody!"

SL, I may have mentioned this before but when I sat down to discuss the College Bound program for our son with YB he balked about the money. I told him we could either spend the money on the program or save it for bail for the kid someday He thought about it for about a minute & agreed. It was the best solution for our son & I have no regrets whatsoever. Keep looking & searching, you will find the right solution for your daughter. That's what we parents do best

had a blast at swordfighting yesterday morning. even got a lovely shiner on my eye from getting whacked with a shield. LOL

made a rare treat today: buckwheat pancakes! toasted and ground the buckwheat myself and the flavour was amazing.

Hey Lav, not much going on, just feeling a little "quiet". Sometimes as time passes being sober, I realize the time I've wasted, then I start wasting my time thinking about the time I've wasted. So I'm trying to put it aside. I seem to allow changes of seasons to affect me. All is good, just feel a little off my game.
