Welcome to Tuesday folks. Probably Mick will post before me! I am really tired an can?t muster up much energy ? also its not the time of the day when I drink coffee. Made eggplant/tomato casserole with some cheese tonight ? yummy. Rich tomato sauce.

Good to see you Pauly ? yes the site takes a while to get used to but its early days yet. Don?t give up. Its great to not have spam and to be able to get onto the site. But people generally hate change ? especially in little daily routines.

So sorry about Dex?s friend who died, Det. Makes you think doesn?t it? So as well as giving her lots of love ? stay sober!

Good news SL. ? seven monther!! Bloods back and my cholesterol is coming down (it was getting very high) and liver is OK. I still have to watch the ALT levels a bit ? despite no booze for quite a while now. Guess I have a somewhat shonkified liver and I need to always be careful.

So big wave to everyone ? even to that cheeky fella up North. Hi there too Sam and try to keep the blues strictly to music category.

chilly this morning, beautiful sunset last night. Veying today for a bit. Then off to find a part for the exhaust on my tractor. This seems to be the year for break downs on the poor old beast. I've had it close to 20 years now.

Greetings TT. Glad the blood work was acceptable. I'm not worried about getting all the numbers perfect anymore, acceptable is just fine
My big dog (the one who broke my foot) had an elevated ALT level recently & she doesn't even drink :H I agreed to one month's worth of a liver supplement for her at the outrageous cost of $115. I was supposed to take he back for a recheck on the blood level then possibly more supplements. I decided to skip it - just ridiculous for a dog that is almost 12 years old.
Are you taking a statin to lower your cholesterol? That could be the cause of your ALT elevation.

I have such a huge fear of falling, breaking bones & becoming incapacitated that I prefer to keep my feet solidly on the ground! I'll pay someone to go up a ladder before I ever get on another one. I definitely will not be joining you on any sky diving adventures :H I just got the 'all clear' on my foot yesterday so I will not be doing anything dangerous any time soon

Det, so sorry to hear about Dx's friend. Addictions just suck & devastate entire families. We need to be grateful for our quits & protect them with everything we've got!

Mae everybody,Mick,my bunny is a brat! we pushed the fridge clear against the wall so he couldn't get back there,well a piece of the cord was still showing,he squoze back the and chewed it,now the fridge is dead,unless hubs can figure something out,grrr,TT,that worries me about the liver levels,but if the doc says it's not bad you're good,just hafta be careful,as we all should anyways,Det,sorry about your wife's friend,addiction sux and when you're stuck in the throes of it it's easy to feel hopeless and helpless,been there,hello to all,hope everyone has a good rest of the day

Monday was an extremely busy day and after the boss meeting I'm more confused than ever. When asked for his suggestion of a replacement general manager he put my name forward and the pres's didn't object. The process is for the Board of Directors to hire the new gm with input from my boss. They can decide on their own or put out an ad which saw 150 applications when my boss was hired. My boss will find out more about the state of his health next month and that will determine when he gives his 1 year notice. It will be interesting to see if anything is said at the Board Meeting tomorrow and if he shares any of it with the staff. The good thing about it all is I'm not feeling under the gun anymore to get my job responsibilities documented and train a new office coordinator.

One thing he said was I need to not be so friendly and talkative with the rest of the staff. I need to start acting like a boss but I have time to develop that. WTF...if I have to turn into a mean SOB I don't think I want the job. That's been going around in my head all day and I was actually in a bad mood/state of mind all morning so decided to take the afternoon off. Will just take it one day at a time and see what happens.

TT...thanks for kicking us off and I hope you got some sleep. You'll probably start Wednesday's thread before I finish typing this.
