Whats this about a liver transplant list SL? You wont be needing that. I see its to do with an individual in your line of work. Glad things are not going too badly otherwise.

Mick – do you do anything for Remembrance Day? A cannon was supposed to be fired here at 11.11am (11/11/11) but I didn’t hear it. I am reluctantly watching series five of Downton Abbey – only up to Episode 4. I say reluctantly cos I don’t really like it. This latest series seems quite boring and snobbish – maybe we are just over it all by now – especially that Lady Mary.

Yes, Pauly you stick close to us. I hope we aren’t too severe here – when people want a kick up the bum- someone will usually offer a foot to do this. But we all know that its not plain sailing dealing with AL – that's why we are here. We need reassurance and acceptance – not rejection.

mae all how are we today then?firstly Lav...so sorry to hear about your bil.....it is a triple edged sword if there ever could be such a thing ....first his son dies in al related circs,then he takes his life,and then his wife and little uns are left...I agree..it isnt fair for those left behind....but you don't know what was going thru his mind ..it mustve been pretty powerful ,for the instinct to survive is a very strong one..this is not the time or place for discussion,all I can say if you need then give us a shout..not saying I can do a lot but its there..as is the big brew...
see they put the first advert for "vaping"as its called on british telly last night...electronic cigarrettes..is this a british thing ..or is the whole world into this?even the word vaping doesnt sound right..imagine that in a book too..reaching into his pocket he slowly pulled out his e cig,and with a quick flick of the wrist he ignited it...shrinking back into the shadows ,he silently vaped,sucking in the vanilla essence he had filled it with earlier.With all seeing glance ,he exhaled the vapour,the vanilla reminding him of days gone by,slurping an ice cream on Blackpool beach....not exactly serious stuff is it??

The Government have announced proposed benefit cuts in the forthcoming budget.

When asked how the proposed cuts would affect them most claimants said they would only be able to afford a 58 inch TV rather than a 65 inch one.

I came home and found a naked man in my cupboard today.

Mae everybody,Lav,i'm sorry to hear about your bil,how tragic for all of your family,like Mick said we just don't know what was going on in his head,i hope you know my thoughts are with you and your family,work was a killer yesterday:egad:wanted to come home and drop but ya know sometimes after a tough day you get kind of pumped up?that's how i was,but i hope it's not like that today,the other night Brady was taking Winslow for a walk,and some damn pitbull we've encountered before bit him(winslow)it's not bad but now he acts sad and lethargic,think he needs a shot and hubs has already talked to the owners,TT,you know i love the kick up the ass when needed,i think it's best to stay here where abs is the rule and there's no talk of drinks here and there,that makes me feel like drinkings not that bad,and we know where that leads,that little seed gets planted,sort of a "she's doing it and seems ok,maybe i will"ok off to get ready,hi PPQP,Sam,Det,SF,SL,and all the readers have a good Tuesday

TT...thanks for kicking us off. Yup the weather has hit and it's sticking around for the week Highs around -17C all week but Sunday will bring +2C. Can you say cold & flu season.

Mick...no need for boss mode today as it's a holiday. Been watching the Remembrance Day ceremony's on TV...not brave enough to venture outdoors. It's especially meaningful this year with the recent events in Canada. You're probably at your celebrations right now, lots of gratitude in the air today.

Pauly....sorry to hear about Winslow. I was on the receiving end of a pitbull so I get sad and lethargic, I also needed a shot. I learned pretty quickly to stick with my home thread. You can only do so much and it's easy to get into the I want to help everyone mode. Hope work is a little smoother for you today.

My plans for today is to carry on with the household chores. Keeping active indoors as I'd just come to a frozen stop if I went outside.

thinking of cutting a little firewood today. Went into work did a little computing and back at home.
Interesting little bit of family trivia... my wife's father was a vet that landed on Normandy Beach on D-Day. He died 2 years ago today, Veterans Day. He would never talk about it, WHATSOEVER!

Mae everybody,sheesh came home to a wet floor,dang pipe burst! luckuly Brady and his friend mopped up most of it and turned the water off,thank goodness hubs used to be a plumber,had to go buy some drinking water til he gets home at 5:30,PPQP,a few years ago my co-worker's son was taking her little pomeranian for a walk and yes a pit bull attacked the dog,killed it and bit her sons leg,i'm not saying they're a vicious dog,i think it's the ghetto owners,Louie's other gramma has one and all he does is lay around haha,Mick,my damn bunny acts like the king of my castle! he came in my room this morning and i had to get a broom to get him out from under my bed,ho hum,not sure how to manage that little guy,sounds like everyone's had a busy day,happy to be aware of the madness in our lives haha

Feeling better after an afternoon visit from my girls, thank goodness for distractions.
Last thing I want to do is sit around & stew over something I can't change. Trying real hard to release the anger so the tension headache goes away. Thanks for all your support, it really helps

TT - no, I hope I will never need a liver tx - it is pretty crazy, even seeing those waiting and the awful condition of liver failure, that did not stop me drinking! Mick was pointing out i better be sure who i am making mad.
Mick - no routine yet as girls off school for two days, then back for a week and a half, then another week off! No time for routines! So sorry about the NHS - I can imagine you spitting fire at the square box last night - that was just adding fuel to the fire.
Lots of vaping here - it is a cool thing - hoping the girls are as put off by it as they are with smoking.
