    Sunday AF 18 January

Well greetings all and I am back again - not been anywhere though and no crises or anything to report. Might as well start you all off as it is Sunday in this side of the world. Almost time for me to think about cooking dinner. Yawn…...

Bit confused Sam about the link between your wife's illness and the plumbing??? Then I saw that these were unrelated - well sort of. But I am glad she is on the mend although I'm not sure if I would recommend Downton Abbey as a cure for anything! I like looking at the clothes in it but find it annoying.
PPQP - I have been meaning to say that your eye sounds very serious and so I hope it starts to heal and that you are getting good treatment. Glad you are better too Lav. Hi there to everyone else - Pauly, Mick, SL, Patrice, and others good to see Pie and Narilly and NS on the thread. Someone asked after Det - I think he was in Vegas so I hope his armour suit against booze kept him safe.

Sunday afternoon here and lovely sunny day. All is well although we have wasp nests that my partner will try and destroy tonight. He was stung yesterday and it was quite nasty. So although we don't have snakes in the long grass here - just wasps!

Hi TT and everyone else. It is Saturday night here still but I didn't want to post in Saturday's thread. Glad your weather is nice TT. What are you making for supper? I am baking a chicken tomorrow. Actually I am Barbequing it. YUM

PQ, I hope your eye gets better. That really sucks.

Mick, I will check back tomorrow to read your jokes.

Hi Lav, Det, Pauly, Pat, NS, Sam, everyone.

It's a sober night here in Canada for me. I am sitting on the couch with hubby and my dog. Honestly this dog is SO lethargic. I took her to the vet and after doing a bunch of tests the vet told me basically that I had a lazy dog. I mean I have to Drag my dog around the neighbourhood because she doesn't really want to go for a walk. So wierd. She is a pit bull and usually they are high energy. I guess she comes from the slow moving gene pool.

Anyway, talk to you all later. Have a super sober Sunday.

hi folks ..just on the way out so not stoppin long...answer to yesterday...yep twas a snowman on the grass..the other one is like this

      Bono & Edge cross = 2 minutes (total = 2),
      Bono goes back = 1 minutes (total = 3)
      Larry & Adam cross = 10 minutes (total = 13)
      Edge goes back = 2 minutes (total = 15)
      Bono & Edge cross = 2 minutes (total = 17)

      coupla jokes then Im off....

A man was shot dead by his friend when they were testing a bullet-proof vest.

His last words were, "Hang on... Shouldn't I be the one wearing the vest?"

Yelling at a dog to stop barking doesn't work. The dog probably just thinks,

      "Awesome,now we're both barking."

Be careful when online dating, if someone describes themselves as outdoorsy, they might just be homeless.

"I know you only want to do what's best for the business," I said to my boss, "but I really don't like being taken out of my comfort zone."

He said, "For f.ck sake,Dave, get out of bed and get your arse to work immediately."

      I drive a standard-shift car.

Whenever my wife tries to get in the driver's side, it's standard for me to tell her to shift.

I shot someone with a starting gun.

I've been charged with race crimes

I went to the barbers today and he asked, "What can I do for you today sir?"

      "Cut both short." I replied.

      "Both what?" He asked.

I said, "The hair and the fcking conversation."

Today is the 75th anniversary of the emergency phone number 999.

I called it to wish them a Happy Birthday.

They weren't very appreciative. Grumpy feckers.

I went to the betting shop and there was a sign on the door which said,

      Gone to lunch, back in:
      30 minutes: Evens
      25 minutes: 2/1
      20 minutes: 5/1
      15 minutes: 8/1
      10 minutes: 25/1

I always wanted to be a comedian as a child. My Dad told me I should practice in the bath, so I did. The bad thing is, he said the same thing to my brother. He was an electrician.

        Good morning Abbers,

Well, it's not exactly 'good' here. It's raining & turning to ice on the roads. Police are reporting accidents everywhere
I'm staying put until something changes, that's for sure!

Good to see you back TT!
Hate those wasps! YB got stung last summer while trying to dig in a new shrub. Apparently he unearthed their underground haven, uh oh!!!

Mick, have a good day today doing whatever it is that you do

Greetings to PQ, Pauly, Sam, SL, Patrice, NS & everyone! Where's Det??

I guess I'll get some organizational stuff done while I'm stuck inside today. This weather may actually be a blessing in disguise
Have a great AF Sunday everyone!

Morning - well it is for me! Tea in bed, three day weekend!
Daughter #2 got email from teacher yesterday with an extra credit assignment - to watch Selma and write a opinion statement - so previous plans cancelled and to the movies we go. I am not a fan of movie theaters (girls got movie tickets for Christmas 2013 and we have not used) but will do this.
Not really much to say, so won't bother ....
Thinking good thoughts for your eye PPQ...

How is everyone - you all sound like you caught my short-post mood of last week? Yeah sometimes I feel like you mention Pauly when I go out for a walk. We humans are odd creatures. Talked to someone yesterday about living in the moment. His Dad has serious cancer (nothing to do with AL) and he is living each day as it comes and very upbeat - but its hard for his Mum - who of course, is thinking ahead and wondering, is this it? She also has been and is the household manager and planner so can't quite just concentrate on the here and now.
as for here and now, its Monday here - sunshine calling - and a day in the office. At least I have big big windows and a great view!

Just caught your post SL - yeah, I dont like movie theaters either! I also stupidly purchased a book of tickets last week - as I want to go to see the movie Turner (the artist) - with my daughter and thought it deserved a monstrous screen. Let us know how Selma is. Probably my daughter will want to see that too as she is into the American Civil Rights stuff at the moment -ploughing her way through the Maya Angelou books as well.

OMG 2004!! I must REALLY hate movie theaters, actually we went to the drive in a couple of years ago and seen"Thats my boy"a dumb Adam Sandler movie but I thought it was funny, haven't gone in awhile cuz the movies start late,it's crowded, and it's double movies so if people are parked behind you you're kinda screwed into staying for both, mood has lifted and banana bread is in the oven,Louie helped by cracking the eggs,no shells hopefully haha

Lets be honest here - one of the reasons I went off movie theaters was because I couldn't drink AL there. Its different now - the places allow people to buy AL but thats only been since I quit! Haha.
and now I hate it when I do go and can smell any AL around me.

That's true TT,now they sell booze and sometimes food here depending where you go,I dunno why I don't like theaters now, maybe too expensive, maybe cuz the close ones here are in casinos, being around people after talking to 20(literally) customers all day,I'm thinking I'm gonna scale back my exercise, still go but not push myself so hard, just light walking for now,I think I'm draining my batteries and I need my energy for more important things
