Mick -I expect you will be heading off to the Arctic soon.
Some of us have already responded to Det. We all want you to get over the physical withdrawal and sickness and then, if you want, we can talk about it. But first just make sure you are in a safe space. Your brief note was really alarming.
No more bunny talk of the pest variety since Mick and Pauly are the caregivers of the big spoilt fluffy ones. Looks like I an going to have to de-worm our cat – as a first measure – because he is getting very thin but is always hungry.
SL – hope you get things sorted on the home front. You and your girls will have lots of good times together this year, that I am sure.
Molly – I am not hating the teenage years. As Lav and NS said , there is much that I am learning from them too – and about life. And its fun to share jokes and natter about clothes and stuff – and males. Of course that doesn't stop – I bet Julie and Amy have a good old chin-wag when the goose is away!
Me and the girl had another chat today and we reckon it all gets a bit too intense because there are just the 3 of us as far as biological family goes – no grandparents, no siblings and for most of the year, no aunts and uncles or cousins. Very much a ‘nuclear’set-up. It's the extreme opposite of the chaotic ‘blended’ family. Both I guess have their pros and cons – I’m used to the small quiet variety but it can be isolating. My partner has many siblings but he choses to have almost no contact with them.
NS – 2 years is wonderful for being AF. Well done.
Pie – hope you had a good lunch.
Sam – I know those restless nights also very well. I can usually get back to sleep but I wake-up so damned often – and have to pee! But we have talked about this before so lets not go there. The great thing these days is that I don't wake up at 3am and have the guilts from drinking the night before. The 3am horrors when the booze wears off were just really really awful. How many pledges were made to quit at that time of the night?
Glad you are enjoying the tropical north PPQP. Courtesy of climatechange.org
