Anyway long story short I've now been banned from Ikea. :hahaha:

My wife said I need to grow up. I was speechless.

Where can you find scenic pictures of holiday resorts ?

    ...Answers on a postcard.

"What have you had for breakfast?" I asked my wife on the first day of her diet

    "Eggs" she said

"Scrambled or hard boiled" I asked

    "No Cadburys Creme" she replied.

My wife asked me not to spend a lot on her this Valentine's day and to get her something she needed.

So I got her a salad.

    "Shelf E," replied the librarian.

"Aye that's the one," said Sean

Last night I asked my date, "What do you do for a living?"

She said, "I'm an anthropologist. Is it a subject you know much about?"

I replied, "Nah, I'm not really interested in ants."

"I assure you sir that it is an original. It is one of a kind and we have all the certificates to prove its authenticity" he replied.

    "Ok then I'll take it"

"Good choice sir. How many do you want?"

morning Mick - good to see you back and glad your health is ok now.

Day 29 - can't quite believe it,I'm really chilling - did not a lot yesterday apart from read magazines.I decided to cancel rollerderby fees, but woke with sciatica returning so think may just quit full stop.Plan to go for walk and do some gentle core exercises today.
Saw someone break a leg at Saturday's game and someone else with suspected concussion. Maybe I need to put that all together and think about the message!

Apart from that I'm working at home today, which is great and having some quiet time to sort out stress levels.Lucky I have such a supportive boss.

Anyhoo - must get in shower and not take the piss!
    Happy Monday everyone.

      Good Monday morning Abbers

Sunny & 0 degrees here with a promise of 4-8 inches of snow tonight - not what I ordered!!!!!

Glad to see you back this morning Mick & I sure hope you are feeling OK!
Sorry about the bad weekend, there's always room for improvement, huh?
I see raindrops on your kitchen window - better than icicles I suppose

bear, I sure would heed the writing on the wall re roller derby - ouch!
Congrats on your AF time, great work!

OK, I am going to get out & about & get some exercise & supplies in before the storm arrives. YB is home sick today with that stomach virus that hospitalized our grandson last week - it's nasty.
Wishing everyone a great AF Monday - I'll check in later.

        morning all
another chilln day here. Did lots of work outside yesterday, the wind had subsided a bit and we got to a balmy 22º F sunny so wasn't to bad. Plastic blew off of one of the small tunnels so we picked the kale and pick it back on. Kale's pretty hardy stuff I'm not too worried about. Kale pesto is really a good treat! Suppose have a bit of snow, of course on the day I was taking a steer to the butcher. Got a feeling that the steer will get a pardon for a week anyway.

Mick, glad you're back and sorry to hear of any medical problems. Hope they are all sorted out. Far as the jokes go, I appreciate the time you put into it and truly appreciate the time you put into addressing each of us daily. It takes time to read and retain what people have written.

Bear, you're doing great. It gets easier as time goes by.

Lav, you ready for the next wave of weather adventure?

        be well good friends

Mae everybody, Mick, I was so relieved to hear from you yesterday, when I seen you started today's thread I was happy and Dr.Chocolate is already a picky eater he won't touch the hay I bought him ,only eats the shaped morsels of his rabbit chow, and of course Winslows food, he's a weirdo, I hope everything is ok with your health,2 hours in emergency waiting doesn't sound good, I slept like Shit last night so decided to skip my walk and now I feel anxious, I didn't realize how much walking was burning up some of the anxiety, hope everyone had a good weekend, ours was lazy, but that's ok,hello Lav,Pie,PPQP, Sam,Det,Nar,Bear,TT,SF,SL and Byrdie, let's get through this Monday, btw hubs and Brady are both off for this made up holiday, I'm jealous of them!
I have too much shit to do today and tomorrow to drink:sohappy:

I'm taking care of the "tomorrow me"
Drinkin won't help a damn thing! Will only make me sick for DAYS and that ugly, spacey dumb feeling-no thanks!

Morning, Mick, Bear, Lav, Sam, Byrdy, Pauly, and all to come.

Yes, my head is now screwed back on correctly. May dig up my journal thread later and post about it, but the prompting I received from y'all to speak up about the drinking thoughts, got me back on track.

Iraq No Phobia, indeed! LOL! Mick, I'm, wondering about your window which looks so sturdy. Mine is a 30+ yr. old, single-pane unit that is D-R-A-F-T-Y. Even in this relatively mild climate, I stuff towels around the edges to reduce some of the cold air that wants to come in.

Morning everyone, thanks for starting us off Mick. glad uour taking care of yourself and glad you are back.

No crafty windows at my house. We are getting a water softener installed right now. The water is so hard in Calgary and it wreaks havoc on our appliances, clothes, skin etc. so that will be good.

It's Family Day today so I have the day off. Nice to wake up Un Hung and ready to enjoy the day.

                    Good evening Abbers!

Freezing & waiting for the snow to start (even though I didn't order it) Ha Ha.
I'm staying as far away as possible from the one with the man-flu here. Why do they think it's necessary to moan? LOL

Greetings to Pie, Sam, Pauly, Byrdie, PQ, Molly & narilly!
I hope everyone is having a peaceful evening - stay warm!!
