    tuesday 17th

morn folks how are we all today then ?all good hopefully..quite a few missing on this fred, but had a quick bimble about on the other freds..quite a few that used to be reglars on here posting elsewhere...maybes we need a revamp?? any ideas folks new jokes ,new jokemaster, new format?main thing is those posting seem to be doing ok....on the big computer now..borrowed Julies Samsung note last night.jeez can hardly see it!!just downloaded opera as a web browser that seems to be working better..started doing a wee bit on the conservatory, weather isnt too bad this morning so both rabbits are out munching away on the grass....right brew time and on we go...

hiya Lav hows you today then after a day of being in charge of Thomas the tank AND my little pony?big brew needed afer that!think I may have sussed out how to do this planter..will try and explain it..build the planter..then in the inside cover 2 pieces of wood the exact width of the inside of the planter with polythene etc...Screw 2 blocks of wood ..one each side on the internal width walls approx 4 inches up each wall..then fit your 2 pieces of covered wood into place one on each wall..so that they angle down towards the middle of the planter, making sure that you leave a flat part of the planter base clear of both pieces of wood..drill some drainage holes in this area..Silicon the 2 angled pieces of wood in place so that they are sealed theory is when you water all seepage will follow the angles and drain to the lowest point..where the drain holes are ..little tray underneath ...job done!!

hiya snowy ppqp...no gardening for you then!!looks like I wont be there for the stampede if its going to take till september to get permission to build the pergola!!hows you anyway?

hiya pie ..hows you then?yep def be a good idea to suss the slugs out before planting!!thanks for the pic...did you get some more milk or is it no joe no milk today??

hiya narilly..take it you are getting the dodgy weather like ppqp too then?

hiya bear ,how did the superlazy night go then?sllllllloooooooooowwwwwwwwlllyyy? :happy2:are you back at work?

hiya pauly ..hows you then? see youre pretty good at the ole house plant thingy then..get it really shaped for christmas ...which is only 282 days and 14 hours away in uk!!

right peeps, time to go..take it easy n have a good one

My mate Dave's always been the kind of bloke that gets stressed over everything, but lately he doesn't seem like he's got a care in the world.

"Why are you so laid back all of a sudden?" I asked him.

"I've hired a professional to worry about all my problems for me," he replied. "Only costs me a grand a week."

"A grand a week? How the hell are you going to afford that?" I asked.

    "Fck knows. That's his problem."

I got my sister a Frozen boxset for her birthday.

Turns out she doesn't even like fish fingers.

A terrorist attack has blown away two local houses - one made of straw and the other made of wood.

Police think that it's probably a lone wolf.

Speculation was rife as to why Vladimir Putin has been missing for the last 10 days.

Turns out he had the flu.

That's what happens when you fight cold wars.

There are two different processes for our perception of sight: Colour and Shape.
Apparently men, have a faster sensory capability for shape than women and conversely women with colour over men. Amazing.
Along with muscle grouping and proteins this helps man to have an edge over women in sporting abilities, impressive reflexes and split second decisions, by contrast colour helps women decide who's socks are who's when they come out of the wash.

I'll never forget giving Noel Gallagher his first guitar. He said to me, "What's that knob at the front for?"

I said, "It's Liam, he's the lead singer."

My Wife said she wanted Chanel No. 5 for her Birthday.

She's going to be made up, all I had to do was re-tune the freeview box.

I'm not saying it's a bit rough round where I live,

but the kids play hopscotch around chalked body outlines.

I happened to wander into the kitchen as my wife was washing her hands.

"Ooh good," she said, "Do me a favour and score my pie."

"I've seen better love, 4 out of 10."

      morning all!!
St Patties Day eh?? well things are starting to green up here. Been trying to get ahead here before I fall behind. Been working on interior fences and splitting what wood I've got cut. Get to play some tunes with 3 different groups of folks this week. Feels like when the time changes, all hell breaks loose.

Mick, nothing wrong with the thread that I see. Sometimes I take a break, for no reason other than I get computer weary. I appreciate the time you take to say a hello to everyone and of course the barrage of "humor"!!!

How do Lav, chickens liking the warmer temps? Quite windy the other day, really dried things out. Another cooler push of temps coming so I see, little more seasonal. I had to take off my long johns yesterday!

      check in later

Mickstar, you have a lot of lurkers on the thread (well, I do, anyway). All threads have ups and downs - even the NN recently, where Lav's good night and good morning posts followed directly on each other. People sometimes have something to say in a conversation on another thread, but not this one. So, don't over-analyse - just keep the jokes and sage advice coming. (And if you have any parsley advice for me - please and thank you. None of my seeds sprouted!
14 October 2013 was the first day of the best days of my life!

Mae everybody, Mick, there's nothing wrong with our thread, we've always been a small group anyways I do miss TT and SL posting here though, not quite sure what happened there, but as long as they're still on MWO and not gone missing, I'm happy slept like Shit last night, weird cuz I even took Louie for a walk in his stroller in the afternoon sun,I read that exposure to sunlight helps the brain make melatonin later on, yeah right! I don't know what to do, I'm positive that lack of sleep clouds my judgment and it's been responsible for relapse, or is that just an excuse?meh,Dr.Chocolate has escaped their enclosed area a dozen times, he digs out, chews out, climbed out,he's crazy!white bunny just hangs out, much tamer, Happy St.pattys day Lav,I'm gonna skip my green socks with the beer mugs on them this year, too tired to care haha, alright gotta get through work at least most of my shift, come home and nap before Louie comes over, man I hope he's in a lazy mood today, this is such b.s! MAE ALL....

Mick...thanks for kicking us off and I concur with everyone, there's nothing wrong with this thread. WOW...you've got grass???? jealous.com Yeah we may have to schedule Stampede for next year.

Lav...sending wishes back but I don't think we'll have a "snow free" Tuesday. Hope we can get through March without the usual snowfall.

Sam...after this round of snow we may start to see some green. Definitely none around for St. Paddy's day.

DTD...I agree, over analyzing isn't worth the energy. What will be will be.

Pauly...sorry your sleep is messed up, hope you can sort it soon. As you say it can effect a lot of things. You're sounding positive though so keep it up. I'll have to go find the Geico commercial. LOL

Boss sent an email this morning saying he won't be in. Looks like I'm on my own again. Have a Terrific Tuesday all and all to come.....:smile:PPQP

Got Milk? Yep, because I don't drink alcohol anymore. Would never have risked driving to the grocery last night during my drinking days. Likely wouldn't have cared enough either about having milk for the morning, as long as I had alcohol to get through the evening. Mentioning today, because I'm so grateful to be out of that alcohol prison. Grateful for the support I get on MWO, and on this thread in particular.

Have a great Tuesday, lovely Abbers. Hoping Mick's jokes are just the start of things that make us smile today.

Pi....Got Milk? Yep, because I don't drink alcohol anymore. :harhar: How true is that!

Bear...pace yourself through those 14hrs...spa day around the corner.

Hey Det...glad you're back safe and sound. Your St. Pattie celebrations sound perfect!

You know Mick talk of the thread got me thinking. Always dangerous when that happens. :happy2:

The "Board" is labeled "Monthly Abstinence" and our little thread is a "Daily Posting" which can be exhausting to maintain.
I know for myself that in my "First 30 Days" I needed to find someplace safe. Where I could just post what was going on with me and not be judged.

When in crisis (relapse after 30 days) I knew I could post and be honest and received MEGA support, picked myself up and carried on.
As an "Old Timer" (Hah!) I sometimes forget what those first 30 days were like and the relapse.

So when one of our family (regulars) is honest enough to post they caved it helps me to remember where I was and how far I've come.
I hope what I post in response helps to get them over the guilt and back on track.

For the new arrivals I hope they find the thread welcoming, small enough not to get lost and somewhat consistent in context. (Mind you I often think of KY)
Sorry for the ramble but I got the impression you've been thinking about this for awhile and I asked myself why I still post here.

Hope everyone has a peaceful evening and will see you all tomorrow......:smile:PPQP

Ok, I survived a full 5 hours with two stinky & extremely loud little boys, Ha ha!!!!

If any of you see Stella on that Geico commercial tell her she owes me, big time!!!! LOL

I wouldn't worry about the thread Mick, seems to be fine. Glad you got to work on your project today!

PQ, I just heard on the news that we may be getting snow on Friday - the first day of Spring
I know it's no where near as bad as what you get but geez......
