Good morning Abbers & happy April Fool's day!

bear, vacation is agreeing with you - enjoy

Mick, sure hope bunny is OK

        Hi molly!
I think Mick is a true man's man. He probably trims his nails with a Swiss army knife, ha ha!

It's sunny & just above freezing at the moment. It's supposed to warm up a bit tomorrow & Friday, hope so anyway.
I will be watching my grandsons after school so I need to get a bunch of things done early. Yay for me!

Wishing everyone a good AF Hump day!

            morning all
a rather noisy night, finished an interior fence dividing fields, finished by headlight last night but it meant that some cows and calves were split up, hence, the noise!! Get them back together this morning.

Thanks for the kick off there Bear. Have fun with your new skates!!

Mick, hope your bunny is alright. Never fun when one of the fold is not well. Let us know how things are.

Morning to you Bear and Molly. I remember hearing some song about a metrosexual cowboy. Next time I'm around the guy that sang it, I'll have to request it.

2 swarms of honey bees arrive today, spring is springing, at least in the chore dept! Suppose to be selling beef in DC this weekend. We'll see how it goes.

Pie, any luck job hunting? Things are scarce here as well, unless you're a truck driver. There are many ads for them on CL.

Lav, definitely some grass growing and a possible April shower coming our way Friday. March roared out of here yesterday wind-wise!! Thought there might be some kind of little twister coming our way. I could spend an eternity cleaning up fallen trees around here!

PQ, hope your job conundrum gets worked out. Feeling better these days?? I remember (I think) you not feeling so well.

Pauly, caffeine is one of my weaker points. Yesterday, I defintely drank too much in the morning... Think I'll keep my intake to one cup this AM.

Howdy to you Det, Narily, NS and all I've missed!

Be well good friends, hope to check in later and see what's happening with everyone.
            Sam

PS, today was the day my dad was liberated from prison camp. April Fools day was always pretty special to him!

Mae everybody, Sam,I can definitely see why your dad would hold this day in his heart sounds like you're working hard, funny about the truck driving back in the day I used to fantasize that when the kids were grown hubs and I would drive across the country as a truck driving team, now that they're grown, that idea sounds like crap haha,I don't think I could handle a truck anyways, Bear,I agree with Lav,you needed a vacay you sound at peace Mick, hope the bunny is ok,seems like rabbits are always getting sick or dying, my first year of marriage I had a tiny bunny just up and die then hubs got me another and it died a week later, not saying yours will die but I've had 3 croak on me,no more, excited for Easter I'm gonna make ham and stuff, got Louie a basket with a soccer ball in it,will get the girls and Brady some candy,it'll be a good day, hi Molly always good to see you, hello to PPQP, Pie,Det,NS,Nar,SF off to find food!! Have a wonderful Wednesday
I have too much shit to do today and tomorrow to drink:sohappy:

I'm taking care of the "tomorrow me"
Drinkin won't help a damn thing! Will only make me sick for DAYS and that ugly, spacey dumb feeling-no thanks!

                Hi Friends,

Lav, I surely did miss you earlier when we posted at about the same time. Found the tools I need, so trip to dollar store not needed. Good plan, though. Heard on the news tonight that WalMart is squeezing its suppliers for lower prices because of losing market share to dollar store and others. Who knew??

Hello busy Sam. Very cool about selling beef in DC this weekend. Will be interested to hear what that experience is like. Nothing new on the job front, though I haven't applied for anything new. Current gig is usually good for 3-4 days a week, except not this week.

Pauly, sounds like your Easter shopping is well underway.

PQ, I think it's priceless that peeps are turning down the job because of salary! Does your boss have a theory on why that might be happening?

So, I fixed up my front patio today. Planted begonias, and got some grass down. Lemme try for a pic.
                front patio.jpg

There's actually one large artificial plant in there. Can you see it? And that's landscape fabric on the fence panels, for privacy, and to keep my dogs from seeing pups on the other side.

Your yard is lovely Pie I can't spot the faux plant, Mick, was hoping you'd stop in and let us know how the bunny is doing, I hope ok,speaking of fake plants I forgot to tell you guys that I found a fake indoor tree by the curb last week, there was 2 but I took the one cuz the other seemed a little bald, when I drove by later someone else has taken the other, makes me relieved that I'm not the onlydumpster diver Hahahaha!
I have too much shit to do today and tomorrow to drink:sohappy:

                    MAE ALL....

Bear...thanks for starting the thread. You're sounding really good. Vaca is agreeing with you.

Mick...I see the green light is on so you're probably posting an update. Hope everything is ok.

Hey Molls....had to google "metrosexual" Hope your day was a good one.

Lav...hope you had a fun time with the grandson. Weather is getting worse here, been blowing like crazy. Temps are dropping and high for Easter Monday is only -4 with snow.

Sam...yes I believe I'm on the mend. Thanks for asking. Those "moms" can sure bawl when they can't get to their "babies". Don't miss that either. LOL

Pauly...somehow I just can't picture you as a trucker. LOL I'm planning on cooking and ham and the fixing too, and hiding from the snow. Glad you were able to get the better of the two trees. Just don't put it outdoors. LOL

Pie...he is asking a lot for the money he's willing to dish out. His excuse is we're a non-profit community centre and can't afford to pay those prices. The candidate said that surprised her because all she's heard is we're rolling in money. He was shocked and said we actually lost money last year. He asked me why she would think that and I just shook my head. Doesn't help that everytime he talks about our community centre he boasts about how many staff we have and the GIC cushion in the bank account. Nice pic, job well done. I have lots of ideas for the fence, will try and dig out a couple of pics for you.

Tuna casserole in the oven and just relaxing from a long day. Boss to the superintendent that he was in a bitchy mood today and thinks it's time to quit. It was all the super good do not to smile, shake his hand and say when's the free lunch. LOL
Trying to keep my work load to my job description but I'd have to write a new job description. Think I might just do that.!

                    Have a peaceful evening all.....:smile:PPQP

Hey, Pauly. Your post and PQ's response about the faux indoor tree has me giggling. The faux plant in my pic is actually... the grass! Bought an unused roll of it off of CL for 75% off. Sam, CL may not have many jobs for us, but they have plenty of bargains. PQ, would LOVE to hear your fence ideas!

Really very sorry about Sam Mick!
We're all thinking of you & hope the little guy is not suffering. Take care of yourself too, you know we care

Pie, you did a wonderful job on your yard, very nice!

Pauly, hope you are at least thinking of decreasing some of that caffeine. Think of it this way - you may be saving your bones by reducing your intake. Caffeine & the bubbly stuff in sodas does a lot of damage to our bones. I hope Louie loves his soccer ball

Sam. you are a busy guy this week. No rain here today which was nice. Still a bit chilly for my liking & some of that wind was still here today. Hope the cows are happy now!

PQ, I am sorry about your Easter weather forecast - that sucks.
Believe it or not I am still unsure about plans for Easter here - may end up doing nothing but that's OK.

Hope everyone has a peaceful night!
