Morning ladies, yeah Lav I'm working my short day though, I think everyone has memory issues, I forgot my shop key, change purse, and a few other things Thursday, made me feel like I was going nuts!but then sometimes the kids will be like, what's the word I'm looking for? I think its cuz we're all in a million places at once,I seen an ad for a game on TV,sort of similar to candy crush but its a word find game, might download it if I can remember what its called, alphabetty or something, I used to love the Sunday newspaper crossword, I had a dictionary and would spend hours working on them, now I can just Google the answers so its not as fun anymore, plus the time factor, plus Louie would rip it up,alrighty off to get ready, hope we all have a lovely day
I have too much shit to do today and tomorrow to drink:sohappy:

I'm taking care of the "tomorrow me"
Drinkin won't help a damn thing! Will only make me sick for DAYS and that ugly, spacey dumb feeling-no thanks!

      Hello All,

I only have time for a quick check in. Granddaughter is still here and commanding my attention. Funny thing about the 12/21/12 date. It came and went pretty inconspicuously. I remember the Y2K scare years ago! LOL. We all stocked up on supplies for that one too.

See you all tomorrow and will hope to have more time. Bon voyage, Cyn! So exciting! Funny, my daughter leaves for Europe today too! Maybe you'll be on the same flight!

        Good morning...

Whew, summer weather is here and it is hot and muggy! I was able to get to the pool yesterday to cool off, nice. Not much on the agenda today. Hope everyone has a good one.

          Good morning friends!

Yep, hot & muggy here too Star, yuck.
But, the gardens are growing well so I shouldn't complain.

I am expecting the family later for a cookout. I will nominate my daughter grill chef. I can't stand the heat, ha ha!!!
I have a brand new kiddie pool for the kids so they can cool off if they want

Pauly, no hair cutting today, right? I hope you find something enjoyable to do!

Dill, are you getting this extreme heat & humidity too? I hope you get a little time off today

Star, I keep running inside to cool off in the AC. I have no tolerance for this weather, never really did.
I bought a new kiddie pool for the kids & will be filling it today. Maybe I'll stick my feet in before they get it all funky, ha ha!

Cyn, I hope you have arrived at your destination safely. It's hard staying awake that first day over there!

OK, time to get the day in gear. Wishing everyone a nice AF Sunday!

I am just popping in for a quick hello. I don't know sometimes how the days get away from me. I went to Church this morning and afterward started in on straightening up the aftermath of having the grandkids. It was too hot to be outside for more than a few minutes today so I filled the day with reading and went out shopping for a while, too. Absolutely boring here! Yes Lav, hot and humid! Ugh!

Star, you mentioned wearing braids. Do you have long hair?

Pauly, how's that perm coming along? I hope the stress level is dropping for you.

Have a peaceful AF Sunday evening.

              Good morning...

I lilke this weather, can even be outside and then really enjoy the air conditioning! We went to the zoo yesterday, there is a nice one in the city we live in and it was hot and muggy and we had a great time for about three hours. I am always amazed at the diversity of animals, birds, fish, there was even a butterfly buliding and it was so beautiful, I had never been in anything like that before. Then we came home and collapsed with exhaustion and heat.

Dill, sometimes boring is OK, it is peaceful and we all nead peace. Back to work for me today, and I am happy to go because I would be bored with myself.

Lav, I'll bet a good time was had by everyone and hope you did get in the pool a little. Did you see where the presidential election has started. Way too early for my taste.

              Cyn, have fun.

Pauly, hope you are doing well.

This Monday, have a good one.

                Good morning friends!

We did have a nice time yesterday even after the skies opened up & tried to drown us, ha ha!
The kids get some good pool time in before the storms rolled in
We had food on the grill when the rain started so we dragged the grill under a covered area on the deck to finish the cooking. Grateful for my daughter & son-in-law getting half soaked grilling the chicken & burgers, LOL
The chicken was very good & we hope to become regular buyers from our Amish friend.

Star, I love a trip to the zoo but maybe not so much when it's hot & smelly, ha ha. Glad you enjoyed yourselves. I did see Hillary's rally coverage on TV. I still like her despite all the BS surrounding her. Jeb Bush doesn't impress me any more than his brother did. I can't imagine why, in 2015 he wants to publically shame unmarried mothers & expect to be elected president. He obviously has a dinosaur brain.

Dill, nothing wrong with a lazy Sunday
                Mine didn't even come close!!

Greetings Pauly, what's on your plan today?

Papmom, I see you on Facebook so I know you are OK & busy!

Wishing everyone a great AF day. Looks like more rain on the way today, oh well.

Talking politics on a forum is dangerous. I learned that a few years back on one of Det's threads. So I will say only this much. I fervently hope that we do NOT have a Bush/Clinton redux, and I sincerely hope we do not have either a Bush or a Clinton presidency. Can we please just move forward?

Lav, I'm glad you had a good bbq in spite of the rain. I always prefer not to do the grilling and delegate it to my son mostly. Mr. D does a fair job too. One of my favorites is when he does the chicken on the rotisserie. Yum!

So Pauly, you permed your own hair? That's too bad bc you can't even be mad at anyone! I used to color my own hair, so I know the feeling of doing it to yourself.

Star, I hope to go to the zoo this summer at some point. Did you see that awful story about the flood in the nation of Georgia that washed all the animals out of their zoo? Even a zookeeper died. So sad. But it did make interesting television seeing the hippo walking the streets! Lions and tigers too!

                    Stormy Monday here.

                      Good morning all...

Woke up way too early, we had storms last night but I really didn't hear them, just couldn't sleep.

Lav, I agree, I like Hillary too, its time for a woman to be president. She is smart, experienced, and would make good decisions. Jeb Bush would shame unmarried mothers because he is an idiot. Plus, he said something about wanting to lead our country in a different direction, probably like his brother: financial collapse, war, huge national debt, high unemployment, no health coverage or covering preexisting conditions, a total disaster. No thanks. Its just too early to hear all the BS. I think I am going to get Netflix and quit watching most of the news. Younger people (20s/30s) I know don't watch the regular news, just get on the computer and choose what to view. I get that. It's supposed to cool off today, it was soooo hot yesterday, 70s would be fine with me.

Dill, I saw the zoo animals out and about and it was frightening for them and all the humans too! It was just so nice at the zoo I went to I really enjoyed the visit. I had not been to a zoo in several years so it was especially fun. I found out my good friend dislikes zoos and I never knew that as we used to take our kids to a local zoo when they were little. Are you getting alot of rain? We are, so no watering for me! Reading anything good? I love to sit outside and read a good book in the summer, a glass of iced tea by my side.

OK, need to have more coffee. Have a good one.

Hey Pauly, hello to you and hope you are able to get your hair where you like it. Is it time to change your style and get a short cut? Those can be so cute, I had short hair for several years and it was easy and a different look. Maybe you think I'm crazy but I like how some dye their hair blue or purple on the ends. I would like to do that but would not go over well at my job. My husband would flip, but it would be fun. Do you still have family staying at your home? I will have that next week and feel a little anxious, but will go with the flow as best I can. Take lots of pictures too. Hope your week is smooth and a good one.

                          Good morning friends!

I woke up extra early too for some reason. The dogs wanted to go out & bark at something/nothing, ha ha!
Hot & humid again today & severe storms predicted for early afternoon. I'd better get myself together sooner rather than later

Star & Dill, we have such polar opposite political views in this house that we agreed to not discuss politics at all!
YB is your regular old Republican card carrying NRA member & all that. I am more concerned with equality, health & human issues. It's a bad mix! I did an online survey a few days ago & found that I am 81% in favor of Bernie Sanders views - how about that? LOL

Pauly,I hope you enjoyed your drowned grilled chicken as much as we did, ha ha! That Sunday rain was a real soaker here but the garden plants loved it. How's your blueberry holding up?

Cyn, I hope you are having a nice vacation in Europe - I am a little jealous
                          Greetings to Papmom!

Lav and Star, Late check in here. I have had a productive day today and feel a sense of accomplishment. Cleaning projects that I have been putting off. But now I am tuckered out!

What am I reading? Currently, Jerusalem Countdown. Not a novel, but interesting.

Writing this on my iPhone and finding it a challenge!
                            Have a peaceful af evening.

                              Good morning...

Dill, Jerusalem Countdown sounds interesting? What is it about? Wouldn't it be a great trip to the Holy Lands? I had a relative who went on a guided tour with a church group and it was very meaningful, historical and fascinating. I would like to go sometime, but would be kind of scared due to all the violence. I have tried to get on MWO on my Iphone and have not been able to do it. How do you check in?

Lav, I will lay off the politics, I get it. I too would like to take a trip to Europe, but will have to be satisfied with next week off to babysit my grandson! And my stepmother-in-law is flying out to spend some time with him will stay with us, so it will be nice to have an important woman in my life around. I have really been missing my mother. The emotional relationship, friendship, and her just being there. It is different to live in a place with no support system. My daughter is an hour away. I have just started to reach out in the neighborhood, but know I have to do more to feel connected. Any ideas? I think I am not sure what I am looking for, except the comfort of old friends and no pressure. What are you up to on this Wednesday? Me, work and making pulled pork in the crock pot for the next few days dinners.

Hey Pauly and Cyn, have a good one.

Good morning friends & happy Hump day

Sun & blue skies here today! Thanks for sending your weather this way Dill! Looking forward to a break in humidity levels, it's been hard to breathe outside this week.

Glad you had a productive day Dill, always makes you feel good. I'm not fond of using my iPhone to get on here either but will if no other devices are available due to a power failure or something.

Star, I hope you enjoy your visit with your stepmother-in-law. I understand about having no support system. All through the years I was struggling with issues I just wanted to have my mother, grandmother or someone to talk to but I had no one. I really lost all of the older & supportive women in my life way too soon. I still wish I had someone to confide in from time to time. Perhaps learning to maneuver on my own has been my mission in this lifetime all along.
My Curves membership has been helpful in feeling more connected to others around here. I do look forward to seeing the other women & chatting while we go through the workout. Right now there is a lot of activity going on raising funds for the Relay for Life. The big yard sale was 2 weeks ago, now there are raffles for donated gift baskets, etc. I take 5 or 6 dozen eggs/week that the other members have been happily buying

Greetings to Pauly, Papmom & the traveling Cyn!

I am off to Curves shortly then back here for some work time.
Have a great AF Wednesday everyone.
