Dill, sorry that storm kept you up but it sounds kinda cool in a way cuz we never get hard rainstorms with lightening and thunder,Cyn, hope you feel better, chronic pain really is draining, have Mondayitis going on, hopefully it turns around, let's all have a nice start to the weekI have too much shit to do today and tomorrow to drink:sohappy:

I'm with you, Pauly. I cannot believe August is ending already! And yes, now that you metion it, I guess it is kind of cool to hear a thunderstorm in the night. I would miss it if I didn't have that.
Lav, I like "sizzling" for the same reasons that Pauly sited. Wow! Lots going on in your world with 'firsts'. How exciting. Bummer about your coffee maker. I'm sure you have a replacement already by now if you are anything like me! Ha! My tribulation for today is the freezer. The icecube maker has been malfunctioning and finally reached a point where I can't pull out the upper freezer drawer for all the ice build up. Sigh. I knew the day was coming that I would have to deal with it! LOL! Today is my day of reckoning.
Star, Thanks for reminding about the new month. I was taken by surprise last time! I didn't get to see the full moon on the weekend because of rain clouds, but I did get to see it last night. It was shockingly bright and big. It was a 'supermoon' and I was reading that the next two full moons will be also. Be on the lookout. If you're like me, you're more likely to see it in the early morning than before bed.
Cyn, Funny your dogs seemed to be affected by the full moon! Do you think next time you'll take them again or find a sitter? Did you enjoy Mr. Tree's cottage? It sounds kind of romantic somehow!
I was just thinking this morning about my weekend with the grandkids. They both love to fish and are intrigued with frogs and toads. I probably could go all summer without seening more than one or two toads, but those grandkids aren't out of the car more than a minute before on of them will spot a toad! Then we have to find a container and observe it for awhile. Luckily they let me release them eventually!
Is anyone besides me watching the new Fear the Walking Dead series on AMC? I'm loving it!
Have a peaceful AF and ZF (zombie free) Monday everyone!Last edited by dill; August 31, 2015, 01:05 PM.Dill
Dont forget, you can: start late, start over, be unsure, try and fail AND STILL SUCCEED!
If it is important to you, you will find a way. If not, you will find an excuse.

Good evening all -
Thanks for all the good wishes! I WAS better with all the movement of gardening, and so will try to keep moving. Still a lot of discomfort to get rid of, but I'm sure I'll get back to my normal self eventually. Tomorrow I have another meeting with my Naturopath, so we'll see what goes on there.
Pauly - you are funny! Sizzling September sounds fine to me! I would love to feel like some sizzling energy was going on here!
Lav - 1st grade! Does this mean fewer 2-kid full-time days for you? I suppose the little guy with pre-K will still be staying close to you for a while...
Star - so glad you had time with your grandson. And I'm sure too that it is exhausting - i would never be able to do it for as long a time as you all seem to manage.
Dill - I love the toad story. I have little tiny toads in the grass here (we used to call them 'penny toads' since they would fit on the head of a penny). I see them hopping out of the way when I mow! Living Dead? uhhhhh, nope that's not my thing. I have to be careful of whatever I see before I go to bed. Even books can end up giving me bad dreams!
If I can stay awake I'll try to watch a little of Doc Martin - no walking dead there, I think. I also uploaded a book whose original title was 'Spent' - sounded right up my alley! The newer edition title is 'Revive', which is what i'm hoping to do as I read the book. Looks good so far; everything that I know from other places, but put all in one place, and with a 60 day suggested implementation ability. We'll see!
Wishing all a great AF night -

Checking in tonight because I have to be up & out by 7:30 tomorrow. Putting one grandson on the school bus & bringing the other one here for the day.
It was nearly 100 degrees in the chicken house this afternoon, ugh! No wonder I didn't get too many eggs. We could use a nice thunderstorm to break up this muggy weather.
Hey there Pauly, Dill & Cyn.
I'll check in tomorrow when I get a free moment.
PeaceAF since 03/26/09
NF since 05/19/09
Success comes one day at a time
