        MAE ALL....

Lav...thanks for kicking us off this morning. Like Pauly I figured someone would start the thread as I was typing.

Pi...good luck with finding a job assignment.

Pauly....took me a bit to figure out truckers tube. LOL Hope you can sort out the anxiety soon, it's got to be exhausting.

Mick...hope you have success today and thanks for the pm.

I'm feeling much better today, actually have some energy this morning. No shot to the eye yesterday as there had been a marked improvement. The retinal specialist suspects something else is going on. He's sending a note to my family Dr. requesting blood tests for inflammation, thinking Rheumatoid Arthritis. My physical is on the 30th so we shall see.....:smile:PPQP

          Hey everyone,

Morning Lav thanks for the coffee, have needed it today!

Pie I read blackout and loved it,by Sarah Hepola?Very similar to my pattern of drinking so could identify with a lot of it.

PPQ - glad you didn't need a shot in the eye, owww, good luck with tests hope you get good news.

Pauly - I slept badly night before last,on up side meant I slept really well last night.I hope the same happens to you.

Well,I got up today and did my meditation, sat i silence with cat and coffee before,I sat in a room today at work and got loads done, finished first draft of HR report - will prob need changes but at least it's done.
Tomorrow is training which I'm really looking forward to,and payday, plus remortgaaged and saving £90 a month - that is going to the credit card!Friday I'm working at home, bedroom is being decorated by friend on Friday then weekend of NOTHING!Hallelujah!
I'm quite excited as looked at bathroom catalogue and it's all quite a lot cheaper than I thought, phew!

Think mindfulness is kicking in more in terms of after effects, noticed myself being in the moment a lot more, worries passing by quicker.I know it's not forever but it's nice to have at least some relief.
Begun my plans of what to move to save money, moving some things/purchases that are monthly to bi monthly/quarterly.

Anyway happy to be sober, three weeks until a fortnight off work too - can't wait!
          one day at a time

Made it through work and it was busy but I was cool, the anxiety was out of nowhere, think I'll just live with a stuffy nose instead of trying different crap for it,Mick,no pics?
I have too much shit to do today and tomorrow to drink:sohappy:

                I'm back - finally!

Pie,so what did you find to do today? Anything good?

Pauly, I am pretty much just living with my stuffed up nose too. The allergy meds either don't work for me or they leave me jittery & raise my B/P. Don't need that stuff
Have you ever tried the Breathe Right strips? They're goofy looking but at least you canbreathe thru your nose at night & get some sleep!

Pie, my Mom had RA & my great nephew now has it too. Does anyone else in your family have RA? Do you have any other symptoms? I am always full of questions, sorry. I hope you get your answers soon

bear, getting those credit cards paid off is a big deal, good for you!
I refuse to carry any credit card debt anymore, ha ha. Glad you are feeling more peaceful these days & there's no reason why it can't last

Mick, we all want to see your pot of gold!!

                Have a nice night everyone!

Yes, Bear, the Sarah Hepola memoir. Have you experienced blackouts? Not sure that I have as she describes them. Certainly spent time trying to recall conversations, things I said that mortified me once I remembered. What Hepola talks about is the absence of memories for periods of time, that she only learned about from others. Frightening stuff.

Today my assignment was with 9 year-olds. A group I worked with a couple of weeks ago. They remembered me, and no one cried when I walked in.

PQ, continuing to send positive thoughts for your eyes.

not so much huge blackouts, more similar to what you said, more the heavy social drinking aspects for me.
