Good morning...
I am already making lists. Lots to do today, shopped yesterday and it took long because of the crowds. I cooked at home last night and it was good to just be home.
Lav, my son studied business and HR, so is looking for jobs currently. He is much better, more relaxed to have the studying over. Now, the next challenge. I am so happy for you that Curves is staying open. I understand how important it is to find a good exercise place you are comfortable going to, it is hard to change. Have a wonderful day.
Cyn, love your reminder to stay centered. I will remember. Have fun today.
Dill, know you are busy and with family.
Pauly, have a great day.

Merry Christmas Eve everyone!
Lav, that's great news about Curves! A big relief for you I'm sure.
Cyn, that meditation sounds perfect. Was it on that website you directed me to not long ago? I hope you can take a second to share that link with me again bc I lost it. I think I may need it with the stress of the holidays.
Star, once again our struggling sons find themselves on similar paths. My son is working on an associates degree in business management. He was pretty stressed out during finals week. I'm up early too, making lists. I hope to have everything done so I can relax and enjoy the day on Christmas.
Pauly, I made the mistake of going to walmart yesterday afternoon. OMG! I had to get out before I acomplished my goals but I decided preserving my sanity was more important!
A friend made up some fudge and put some in a decorative Christmas bucket to share with us. Unfortunately we weren't home when they stopped over to give it to us. They decided to leave it on the step by the back door and called to let us know. Very sweet of them! But they didn't factor in our Tessa. She is always outside and she constantly walks the perimeter of the yard keeping watch. By the time we got home the bucket was gone from the step. We got flashlights and searched the yard and found it chewed up and emptied of its contents. Poor Tessa had a pretty bad tummy ache after that, but she is ok now.
Onward and upward!Last edited by dill; December 24, 2015, 06:52 AM.Dill

Hi all - just taking a break from the action to say hello --
Lav, great news about Curves - that's a nice holiday present for you, eh?
Pauly - hope all your shopping went well. I stopped by a store early to get 3 things, and boy, were people stressed out! I just kept breathing and smiling, and wished people 'happy holidays' - they looked at me with some shock, then smiled too. Whew!
Star - great news about your son. I hope you have a good time with all the family this year. Enjoy your tree!
Dill - what a story about Tessa! I hope she really is OK - chocolate can be toxic to dogs, but maybe she has an iron stomach! I hope your time with the grandkids left you a little respite for yourself.
Good luck everyone - I'm wishing you a gentle and centered time with family -
Happy Christmas eve ----

Dill forgot to give you the meditation. All of them can be found on-line through YouTube; search The Honest Guys. The one I found phenomenal is called 'Anxiety Relief'. Hope this link works: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8_jc...333FE227FF8599. It's under the 'Guided Meditations'.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8_jc...333FE227FF8599

Merry Christmas!
I heard there was a full moon just after 6 am this morning. How special is that?! I wish I had seen it. But it is going to have to be enough for me to just know it.
Star, Lav, Pauly, readers, I hope everyone is having a blessed Christmas with family and loved ones.
Thank you Cyn for the meditation links. I'll be needing them in the bustle of the Season. I'm grateful you took the time.
I'm awaiting the arrival of my son and grandchildren. It's kind of like the quiet before the storm. :happy2:Dill

Good morning on this day after Christmas!
Gloomy here, oh well. I'm ready for some sunshine but it's not in the cards
I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. I spent the day here with no company, just YB & he spent the day hiding as usual. The grandsons will be here around lunchtime so at least I'll have someone to talk to, ha ha.
Wishing everyone a great AF Saturday!

Merry 2nd Day of Christmas, all!
Ha Ha - did I think it would be a quiet Christmas? There always seems to be things to be done every moment! But all was fine - our coastal Xmas meal Christmas eve was fairly easy (scallops, sauteed spinach and rainbow carrots); we were all tired, so that was an early night. Then since we do Stockings and other small gifts on Christmas morning, it was quit a riot opening things. (As 'Santa', it was a little hectic for me that morning, getting everything in the right stocking, and creeping down the stairs so they'd have the full effect - I was trying to be so quiet, and in the middle of the living room in the dark I stepped on a squeeky dog toy! Hilarious.
Ended up cooking literally all day yesterday - by the evening I wondered why the heck I hadn't gotten out for a walk - it was beautiful out. But today is a little crisper and still not rainy, so I'm going out shortly. Just got SD packed up and out the door, whew.
Thank you Pauly for saying what I also feel every day here - this thread is an incredible all-year-round gift. I hope everyone is enjoying and getting a little rest.
PS - last night we watched 'Chef' with Jon Favreau (of 'Elf' fame). I loved it! A real feel-good movie - though there is quite a bit of language, so I wouldn't watch it with kids. But a fun movie, and a great soundtrack. Cheers all!
