    Good Sunday morning friends!

Cloudy here but at least it's not snowing as was predicted, yay!

Dill, I think this is the first weekend in quite a while that I have no kids here! They are a good distraction, that's for sure. I'm glad your grandson enjoys his Pop time too. Our oldest is the same way while the younger guy seems to have his own agenda. The boys & their Dad will be flying home from Florida today. Looks like they've enjoyed some pre-season baseball & some beach time
We have owned two popup campers in the past, fun for the kids. I think a travel trailer is better for adults, ha ha! Check Craigslist, you never know!!

Hello to Star & the traveling Cyn!
Pauly, glad Louie enjoyed his birthday weekend

No special plans for me today. I really should make myself do some cleaning, we will see.
Have a great AF day everyone!

Morning friends,Lou's party went well, stayed for 3 hours, they drank a bit but it didn't even faze me I was too busy sneezing starting back on my turmeric supp today,I quit taking it cuz of tummy trouble and a low blood sugar feel but it seems to help my nose so I'll try it again, was cutting one of my regulars yesterday, a poker dealer who's one of us,he was depressed cuz he was on day 4 of being off of a moth long bender after, get this,9 years sober!!! I asked what the heck happened, he says that he was driving back from a job and he was coming out of flagstaff where its really woodsy and a trucker hit a deer in front of him but the body somehow hit his car and rattled him, said he hit the NV line, stopped into the casino and for some reason beelined for the bar,he said he couldn't believe that after all those sober years that was his first instinct, also couldn't believe that he picked up right where he left off,I could understand completely even though I'm not that long sober just how crappy and sneaky this ugly crap is,Dill,7,000 miles is still a baby Lav,Star,Cyn hope you're all enjoying the weekend, off to the grocery store
I have too much shit to do today and tomorrow to drink:sohappy:

I'm taking care of the "tomorrow me"
Drinkin won't help a damn thing! Will only make me sick for DAYS and that ugly, spacey dumb feeling-no thanks!

Hope you get those allergies under control Pauly
What a shame about that guy! I guess that goes to show there are no guarantees in life, huh? I hope he stays on track now for his sake & sanity!

Son & grandsons stopped on their way home from the airport this afternoon. All 3 were happy after their mini vacation to Florida. I'm jealous, haha!!!

          Good morning all...

Sorry I was MIA, I woke up Sunday 2am with the stomach flu, yuck. I was so sick, it was horrible. My daughter had it too, so I must have caught it over there. I am so grateful to feel better today, going to work, and having coffee. I have not been that sick for years, I am really going to treasure my good health.

Cyn, have a great time on your trip, good to hear your keepingup with the meditation and yoga. I t really makes a difference.

Lav, sound like you had some time to yourself this weekend. It is going to be in the 70s here today, so should be coming your way. Hope so.

Dill, your new vehicle sounds great, and how fun to plan trips and camp. Enjoy.

Pauly, you poor thing, hope you feel better.

          Have a good one.

            Good morning friends, happy Monday!

Waiting for the sun to make an appearance, I'm sure it will at some point. I can't wait to feel comfortable outside without a jacket on

Star, I am sorry you had a bad weekend. Just when you think winter & it's viruses are over - BAM, they hit you like a ton of bricks. Sending you healing energy & hope you feel better!

Hello to Dill. Cyn & Pauly!
Just a routine day ahead for me starting with a trip to Curves.
Have a terrific AF day everyone!

              Hello All,

Lav, the weather this week is supposed to be 60-70's! Yay! But we will have to put up with rain. I'll take it over the snow! Nice your guys stopped yesterday on their way home from the airport and lucky them having a get-away during that cold weather! How's business going? Is this a busy time of year for you, or not so much?

Pauly, Wow! Sad story about your client after 9 years sober. But it is part and parcel I guess. The scary thing is that you go straight back to where you left off! I wonder if it a struggle for him to get back on track. Those first few days were so rough the first time around. Poor guy! Does he know of your personal struggle with al or do you keep that to yourself in the work setting? I was reading that stuff Cyn linked to about methylation and turmeric was mentioned as a good dietary supp for that. I am not taking any supps at all right now, just my scripts which are all low dose, thankfully.

Star, YUCK. Sorry you went thru that! I hope you are feeling more yourself now. I know exactly what you mean about treasuring your health. I was sick after my daughter's visit over the holidays having caught a bug from her. It wasn't as virulent as what you described, but it was enough! Feeling good is a huge blessing!

I have been presented with a volunteer opportunity at the local hospital. I found out about it at our retired teacher's association luncheon. I am going to go tomorrow to speak with the supervisor. I haven't done any volunteer work since I did my year at the food pantry. I am a bit nervous about making a commitment. But, nothing ventured nothing gained.

              Cyn, hope you're having fun!
Have a good af Monday evening all.
              Dill

Dont forget, you can: start late, start over, be unsure, try and fail AND STILL SUCCEED!

If it is important to you, you will find a way. If not, you will find an excuse.

It hit 60 today here Dill - it's getting better each day, yay!
My business is always an off & on thing & I am OK with that. I really don't want to be nailed to a full time job anymore. I have so many distractions around here with the grandkids, animals & a moody YB. All I really want is peace of mind

I see Papmom is having trouble with another one of her dogs. I know how important they are to her, it's a shame. I try to send her a little support on Facebook when I can.

I hope everyone has a peaceful night!

                  Good morning...

Feeling more like myself again, and so grateful!

Lav, working part time would be the best, lucky you. You sound as though balance is what you are seeking and have found, for the most part. Hope YB gets it together for you. It is going to be in the 70s today, yay!

Dill, warm here too, not sure about the rain, but we live in the same part of the US so will probably see the same weather. I guess if you volunteer and don't like it it, you can resign, right? My stepmother used to go to the hospital once a week and loved it. Just enough to make connections, do good work, but not enough to take up all of her time.

Hey Pauly, that was a horrible, interesting story you told. Scarey too. Hope your allergies are better.

                  Hello Cyn.

Sorry to hear about Pap's dog's illness. Miss her.

                  Have a good one.

                    Good morning friends, happy Tuesday

Starting out at 48 degrees, heading up to 71 - nice!

Glad you are feeling better Star!
I hate being sick, I am not a patient patient, ha ha!!

Dill, I always remember the hospital volunteers being pretty happy & certainly helpful. Be prepared to do a LOT of walking

Hello to Cyn, hope your trip is going well.

Pauly, the allergy season will be here soon but it is all part of the Spring experience. Don't know yet what I am going to take this year, none of the OTCs really work for me either. I hope yo have your allergies under control by now.

Wishing everyone a terrific AF Tuesday!
Heading out to Curves in a bit to get my day started right.

Hello friends, Lav,they all suck! Either make me tired, jittery, tummy troubs and none of them actually even work for me,had to stop acv cuz it was giving me acid reflux like when I drank, that hot stomach acid feel, tell Pap we all think of her and sorry about her dog, hope its nothing too serious,Dill,I'm very open about the drinking with certain people,I figure its good for them to know someone can relate, with other people I say nothing cuz they mock it when I say I quit drinking"I'll drink one for you then" is a popular line,ho hum, I just really want to feel better allergy wise,I feel better in other ways but this darn stuff just makes me tired, low mood, low energy, can't smell, taste,in a fog grrrrrrr, hello Cyn and Star, hope we all have a nice Tuesday

                        Hello all,

Just a quick fly by here. Looks like I was wrong about the rain. Today and yesterday both dry! Gorgeous! There is rain forecast for this week sometime tho and once it starts it is supposed to settle in for a while.

Lav, let Papmom know we are thinking of her!

I got the volunteer gig!:happy2: I'll be working in the coffee shop on Friday mornings, provided I pass my tb test.

I'm headed outside for now to soak up some of this gorgeous weather.

Star, Lav, Pauly, Cyn, have a great af evening.

Lav, good job on being so productive and getting windows done! This weather is so fantastic! I don't feel like starting a project as big as window, but I do think I'll clean out my car. It's in desperate need.

Star, great that you could get out at lunch to enjoy the sunshine! Isn't it great how the days are getting longer and longer?
