Little one has left the building. Now all that's left is the clean up!

We are having our super bowl party today. We saved the game on DVR because our main guest ended up in emergency surgery that day. He is recuperating very slowly. This is his first outing since that day. I'm kind of nervous having him here. He is still very weak and unsteady. Hopefully this will boost his spirits some.

Pauly, sometimes it just comes out of nowhere. Believe me, I know. My path has not been a straight one. My advice is just never give up!

Lav, the fishing was great! Mr. D caught a big fish and gd helped him. She bravely put her little fingers in its mouth to hold it up for a picture! I bet you will enjoy your week off YB duty!

Star, Cyn have a great AF Sunday!

'Twas a quiet day here Dill
I hope your guest is doing OK. Getting out & about can really perk you up after you've been housebound for a while.
Congrats on the big fish - woo hoo

Pauly, we all have to learn our lessons in our own way & time. I know I sure did!!
Time & distance from AL will make all the difference, I promise you that. Not a single thing has happened in my life over these past 7 years that has made me want to drink. That is because I totally & completely took that option off the table. You can do it too, I know you can!

      Peace to all tonight!!

It's really a coincidence that two of our threadmates are off on vacations at the same time. One is near water and one is the opposite; in a dessert!:happy2:

I am here but far off into the future, if Mr. D and I really go thru with buying our small travel trailer, I will be off on short trips too. I imagine it might be hard to post from some places on the road. Usually when I travel to my daughter's we stay in hotels with internet and I can keep in touch. We shall see what the future holds! It's a ways off. We haven't even decided yet on the trailer. It's rather a big decision, cost wise.

No big plans for the day. The man is coming to fix the generator. Other than that the day is wide open. I like it that way!

Pauly, Lav, Cyn and Star, Happy AF Monday.

          Good Monday morning friends!

Rain here, oh well. At least we don't have to shovel it, right? Ha ha!!!

I hope Star & Cyn are having a nice time Dill.
I am not going to be able to get my girls getaway in May this year. My daughter's school gets in the way this year. The years of going anywhere with YB are long gone so I guess I'm just stuck here. Trying not to focus on that.
Dill, do you have someone willing & able to take care of your animals if/when you go away? That's another issue to be dealt with too. I hope you can work all that out so you can get to the Grand Canyon

          Pauly, how are you today?

Nothing special on my day plan. Hope to get out of here at some point to go to Curves.
Have a great AF day everyone!

Morning friends, doing ok here,Dill, even if you were to travel via RV most of the hook up places have internet anyways poor Louie still has the runny nose and slight fever, hubs feels better though, I keep wondering if a supp that I was taking or eliminating kind of triggered my relapse?the week before when I was so super congested I tried some different things who knows, its over,on to living,it happened I can't overanalyze it to death,Lav,maybe sometime you can just take your own vacay,or with the kids and grands,I always tell my girls that I'll never be lonely cuz at least I have them, you'd probably have more fun than with YB anyways, hope Cyn and Star are having fun, hope we all have a nice Monday
I have too much shit to do today and tomorrow to drink:sohappy:

I'm taking care of the "tomorrow me"
Drinkin won't help a damn thing! Will only make me sick for DAYS and that ugly, spacey dumb feeling-no thanks!

              Greetings friends!

Pauly, LOL! I never even thought of camper sites having wireless! Well, that helps a lot knowing that! I agree with you about not over-analyzing the reason you drank. Bottom line is you caved in to a long standing bad habit/addiction. There are always reasons and triggers and it does take constant vigilence and sometimes we fail. But each time we fail we learn and get stronger. I have every confidence in you that you will continue toward the light and reach long term sobriety.

Lav, the question of what to do with the animals is a biggie! The cattle are easy in the nice weather. They have plenty of grass and an automated watering system. We would just need someone to stop by and look in on them and handle any possible emergencies. We have a friend who also has cattle who would be glad to do that for us. The dog is the bigger issue. I would hate to put her in a kennel. Usually we have a neighbor kid come do dog duties for us for a fee of course. These neighbor kids are well supervised by their parents who would get involved in the case of emergency.

Today is the day I get a second TB test and an MMR vaccination. I'm a little afraid about the vaccination, but I know that's irrational. I took my granddaughter to her vaccinations. If she can handle it, I guess I can! LOL!

Hello Star and Cyn. Thinking of you!
Have a great AF Tuesday everyone!

                Good Tuesday morning friends!

Looks like another dark & damp day here, oh well!
I will do my best to ignore the weather & just do what I have to do.
Dill, a sore arm & maybe a slight fever is about all you should expect from the MMR. There's always Tylenol for that
I'm glad you have helpful neighbors, I sure don't. I remember years ago looking for help with the chickens but fell flat - everyone is 'afraid' of them. Can you believe that? It never occurred to me to be afraid of them, ha ha! People are funny!!

Pauly, changing our thinking is what helps us make our goals. We have to stop thinking that AL or any other substance is going to make us feel better. The answer lies within each of us. That concept is baffling yet simple really. The way we talk to ourselves has to change. We need to put our energy into loving ourselves, not battling demons. You get to decide what is best for Pauly

                  Good morning,

Lav, no problems with me vaccination! I felt jittery yesterday but I think it had to do with the amount of coffee I drank yesterday. I'm going to be more careful today! We ordered our camper yesterday. It won't be ready until mid October. Isn't that amazing?

My daffodils are blooming! It's pretty early this year.

Hello Pauly, Cyn and Star. Wishing everyone a happy and AF hump day!

Good morning & happy Hump day

Waiting for some sun, I hope it arrives soon. There's been too many gloomy days this week.
I am going to pick up my granddaughter & bring her here for a few days instead of my spending all day Thursday at her house. This way I can manage my feeble old doggie better since I have no help this week. It will be nice to have some company anyway.

Dill, good news about your camper!
Sit down & start planning a nice fall trip fall trip for yourselves

Hello to Cyn & Star, hope you are both having a good week.

                    Pauly, how are you doing?

Morning friends, Dill, yippee on the camper! Where are you planning on heading first? Lav,I think having your granddaughter at yourplace is a good idea, one thing iI've noticed about Louie is that when he's at his house he's calm, plays quiet, but when he's here he gets hyper so weird, gonna stop by Sprouts this morning and pick up some local honey I keep seeing it come up on my countless Google searches for natural allergy relief, the whole house has a cold now, yippee, hope we all have a great Wednesday, shout out to Cyn and Star

Returned home with my granddaughter just before 7 pm. She will be here until Friday evening when her parents come to get her. Right now she is playing with her doll house, watching My Little Pony on Netfix & doing a puzzle all at the same time, ha ha! That's the way she rolls

Pauly, we get big jars of raw local honey around here (mostly from the Amish). I think it does help with your local allergens. Just don't expect results instantly, you have to keep up with it for a while & don't heat it. Just take a big spoonful a couple times each day.

                        Have a peaceful night everyone!

Good morning friends & Happy St. Patrick's Day

Not a bit of Irish in me (that I know of) but that's OK.
I don't like green beer anyway, ha ha!

Temp was back in the 30's this morning & very foggy but it's warming up now.
Not sure what we are doing yet today but I'll figure it out

Hello to Dill, Pauly, Cyn & Star!

I read about mixing the honey with acv and water so I drank it that way Lav, some peeps said they put it in coffee but I figured the heat would kill any of the good benefits, been warm here so I think its safe to put away the winter clothes,Happy St.Patrick's day,hi Dill,Cyn and Star

Lav, I have it on good authority that EVERYONE is Irish on St. Patrick's Day! I think the Irish are a truly charming and admirable people. It sounds like your granddaughter is good at multi tasking, that's for sure! LOL

Pauly, our first road trip will be to northern Minnesota to pick up the camper. That's a good 16 hours from here and I think it will be an interesting trip. I've never been to that part of the country. We will take our time on the way home, breaking in the new camper along the way! Hey I see you changed your avatar. What's the new one? Is that you and the mister?

Disco Pauly and BobZombie Hahahaha! From Halloween a few years back, wouldn't that be crazy if on the trip to get the camper you and hubs decided you hate traveling together? I'm positive that would NOT happen but it'd be ironic
