Good morning friends, Happy Easter!

Cloudy but mild here today. I hope it doesn't rain on our cookout, ha ha!

Star, I hope you feel better, geez. Springtime colds can be harsh. I still have a lingering cough from mine, yuck.
My youngest grandson decided to stay overnight, so far so good. He's entertaining himself with a bowl of cereal & the iPad at the moment.

Morning friends,Star,I hope you feel better fast,this year has been awful for colds! Me,Brady,hubs,Louie have had at least 3 and that's not the norm,lots of rest,water,acv,don't push yourself they put the price sticker rightin the front of Lou's basket so I'm trying to peel it off the best I can,its huge though! Stupid toilet overflowed on me downstairs, not clean water either had to get hubs to unclog it cuz I couldn't get it to stop,hopefully the rest of the day is smoother,Lav,Dill,Cyn I hope we all have a blessed,peaceful day,thank you for being here and have a Happy Easter

I just finished cleaning up after the second party of the day, I'm pooped; with a special dinner last night for SD, it's been non-stop cooking and cleaning. I'll be glad to take a break from the kitchen! But I had lots of eggs and fun pretty decorations around, and surprise treats in everybody's shoes this morning, so it has been a fun, long day.

I'm seeing a doc early tomorrow and then have some appointments, so it might be a late checkin for me. Wishing all well and (and quick healing for you, Star)

Star, I'm sorry you were so sick on Easter! I hope you rested and are feeling loads better. Did you have any family time at all?

Cyn, it sounds like you had a wonderful day but along with that, all the effort that makes the day special. I hope you rested and had a good night's sleep and are feeling back to your normal self!

Lav, did your grandson stay just one night or did it extend into two? My grandkids are both coming this afternoon for an overnight and possibly two. I look forward to it but also know that it means so much more work! Oh well, such is life. They are worth it, eh?

Pauly, what a rough start yesterday! I had the bathroom toilet back up not too long ago and it was dirty water too. Yuck! The stuff of nightmares! LOL Did Loui like his Paw Patrol basket?

The weather was so perfect yesterday! I couldn't believe it! We had an egg hunt for the children outside. Mr. D decided they were ready for the "adanced level" egg hunt. Needless to say, in the end it was all hands on deck searching for the last four very well hidden eggs! LOL. We fired up the grill and did two ham steaks and some asparagus to go with my home baked dinner rolls and mashed sweet potatoes. It was a very good day.

Good morning all...

Sounds as if you all had a good Easter Sunday, but of course with some challenges, easily over come due to being AF. Yay! We, husband and son, had a nice Easter, I roasted a turkey, served with sweet potatoes and asparagus. Delicious. I felt lousy all day, but we managed to go for a little walk as it was in the 70s and sunny. Wow, perfect weather. My cold broke in the middle of the night last night, so I am on the mend, still stuffy, but hoping the chills and aches and pains are gone. I have a busy week at work, so have to pace myself. Hey everyone, send positive energy to my son, who has still not found a job or gotten an offer, and who is discouragaed. On top of that he was sick this last week, and is ready for good things to begin to happen. Thanks for the support.

Cyn, you are always so generous with your family, but I know it is fun for you too. Good luck at the doctor's today, hope things go smoothly.

Pauly, I hate plumbing problems, it is so gross. But it happens to all of us. May all the colds be gone for the year.

Dill, you have been on a roll lately, enjoying your retirement, with husband, son and grandkids filling some of your time and now volunteering too. Spring is here for sure, we are so lucky.

Lav, seven years AF, and you are filling your life and your time with everything you want to do: family, MWO, exercise, and farm fun.

April is this week, any ideas for a name? A+ April, April AF, Anam Cara April (means soul friend and you guys are), open to ideas. Have a great Monday.

My grandson only stayed one night, he was good. This week I will be keeping the oldest Tuesday thru Friday while his parents & little brother are out of town. I'll have to drive him to & from school along with everything else so I will be busy this week.

Star, glad you are starting to feel better, it does takes time!
Has your son contacted any recruitment agencies? My SIL did that & they got him into his current position. Worth a try I think.

OK, I need to get moving & out to Curves.

Morning friends, any name for April is fine by me as long as its positive Louie wasn't quite impressed with his easter basket cuz Kell got him the exact same one!! I gave it to him and he looked at it,then at me and said"I already got this" turd,I did add some stuff to mine though so it was kinda different but not enough, haha,ugghh been waking up dizzy these past few days,I'm looking into that whole candida thing but holy smokes you'd hafta be super human to follow the diet to a T!! No coffee would be real hard!

Uggh,hate when I get stuck! Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter,hubs made ribs and I cooked a small ham,nice relaxed day except when Louie had a tantrum over toys his cousin was playing with, he was being so bad! After she left he was fine though, too much stimulation and sugar me thinks,this dizziness is awful, I'm this close to using the steroid spray I hate for my nose/ears,hylands ain't cutting it! Yikes! Hope we all have a great Monday

Are you sure you don't have an ear infection going on causing the dizziness? When was the last time you had your B/P checked? A lot of things could be causing dizziness. Hope you feel better soon!

Left work a little early yesterday, as the day went on I felt weaker and weaker. Slept well last night and will have a good day today!!!!!

Star, glad you are feeling so much better this morning! Pace yourself at work today. I am keeping your son in my thoughts and prayers. Something is bound to turn up if he just keeps trying. I feel for him.

Pauly, you surprised me with your two back-to-back posts but I wondered if your second one you thought you were posting elsewhere. Sorry for the basket snafu with Louie. I was surprised yesterday by my 4yo granddaughter saying her and her brother's baskets were different colors AND different sizes. (hers was smaller). I Almost think she may have felt slighted! LOL. But they had equal number of presents. I just used baskets I had left over from previous Easters. I didn't think she'd think anything of it! Guess I learned a lesson. Ha!

Lav, I had the kids last night and they will stay again tonight. We got a movie from the library: Lassy Come Home. Yes, the one you probably watched when you were a kid! LOL! It was colorized and had subtitles (which Mr. D needs due to his hearing loss). We all four enjoyed it immensely! With all the sophisticated entertainment the kids have available today, they still enjoy the old fashioned, simple, boy-loves-dog movies.

Cyn, I hope your doctor's appointment went well. It sounds like you had such a nice Easter. I know the work that goes into making such things happen. I often think about the women in the family that went before me and how they too labored to make those memories happen; the memories that I very much cherish today!

Don't know what we'll do today, but I am sure I will be tired by bedtime! Have a good Tuesday everyone.

Isn't it funny how observant a 4 year old can be? Ha ha!! Lassie is a story for all generations, glad they enjoyed it too.

My older grandson will be here this evening & staying thru Friday or Saturday (I think). He has school this week so I'll be busy transporting him, packing lunches & all that.

We had a big rain yesterday(which I drove in for hours for my appt), then a huge wind early early this morning. Now all is sunny and calm; weather!

Still pretty nice around here weather wise, but rain is coming, I believe. I am getting better, but could use an entire day to sleep I think. Busy day at work today, and that is good.

Pauly, hope you are not dizzy anymore. The cold I am recovering from made me dizzy the first two days, now it is gone.

Star, I very much like the name Anam Cara April, or April AF Anam Cara, or any such variation. Good choice!

Cyn, my daffodils have hung in there for well over a week but are now starting to fade. It's funny how much joy the small things can bring, isn't it? I remember planting those bulbs in the shortening days of Fall with hope in my heart for a far off Spring. I also had my doubts that they would bloom but I put them aside and planted those bulbs.

Lav, I bet you are enjoing your time with EB! I know you haven't called him that in a while and he is perhaps the past the age for such a name, but that is how he will be forever remembered for me! LOL! He'll never know how he saved you, will he.
